What constitutes a node, what is counted as a node? -PC/Laptop -Printers -switches -servers. Hoping someone can give me an answer? Thanks in advance
Admin rights for certain functions
Hi! I've set up a user with full control over the inventory section, but he still seems unable to create new product names (the option just does not appear). Is there anyway to give someone access to this ability without making them a full admin over the entire system? Thanks, J

When are you going to fix the Templates so you can save resolutions. It was this way before we went to 7.5 Seems like you went backwards on this.

HI, is it possible to have a list of e-mail templates for answering common cusomters request. So when I receive a common e-mail, I would like to select from a list of templates a common answer. Is it possible?? Where??
All ticket go in "Not in any site"
I recently create 2 new site (Wallingford and Grass Valley) and create 2 technician that will take ticket in this site. The problem is that I want that this technician view only new ticket and his ticket. New ticket is create in "Not in any site" and all old ticket is there too. So, 2 questions. 1- Can I move all old ticket in Montreal site, so this technician cannot view it? 2- How can new ticket go automatically in the good site? Thanks for your help, we really appreciate your product.
Cant delete Technician
We can not delete technicians. We are not getting an error its just not deleting them. These people no longer work at the company so no need to demote to requester. We are running build 7051.
Custom Views Filter Adding Strange Criteria on its own
We are experiencing a glitch with Custom views in SD+. We create a custom view and add one or more filters, Save and close and View the filter. The view doesn't behave as expected or has an error. I go back to the edit the view and find garbled criteria have been added. See the screen shot attached. SDP Version : 7.5.0 Build 7500 Please let us know the solution. CPU Utilization Gauge Not Displayed for Cisco 4006 w/SupIII
Hello, I have added a Packetshaper 1550. For the CPU Utilization under Resource Monitors, I am using (SNMP OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.2334.2.1.5.28) which answers correctly. But i can't figure out how to display this value on the CPU Utilization gauge on the snapshot screen. Is there a way to direct what monitor this gauge pulls it's info from?

Problem upgrading from build 7022 to 7500
We had major problems when moving to the new 7500 from 7022 and had to completely reinstall 7022. Was a fix ever posted by AdventNet on this problem many people were running into? Our organization still is yet to upgrade and would like to, but if we can't build 7500 to function correctly in our test environment were certainly not implementing it into production. Big PROBLEMS Mail Server Setting
Hi: I'm trying to set up Mail Server Setting in my OpManager, I wrote the IP address, FQDN, server name everything but always the program show me the same error (invalid server address, something like that). I have W2003 sp2 and MDaemon Mail Server, in my CMD I wrote telnet [IP address] 25 and 110 and both responding very well. Anybody knows what is the problem Regards
MS SQL & Quick Configuration Wizard
Hi, I'm testing OPmanager for monitoring some Windows server. Currently I need to add around 10 MS SQL server. I use the QCW to add the standard monitor without problem, but is there a way to do the same with the MS SQL Monitor? How to Export Opsmanager 6.0 Database to 7.0
I have 1 x server running Opsmanager 6 and 1 x server running Opsmanager 7. I want to move all monitored devices from Opsmanager 6 to Opsmanager 7. As I need to move 100 devices, anyone knows whether there is a more efficient way of directing exporting the database from version 6 Opsmanager into version 7 instead of manual key in again?
memoy utilization and disk cache
I am using the monitor "memory utilization" for a server Redhat Enterprise 4.0. The threshold of 70% continuously is exceeded even if the processes occupy only a minimal part of the memory because of the disk cache. Is it possible to use the monitor of the memory without to hold account of the disk cache? My Opmanager version: 7.2 build 7205
Current HTTP Connections
I am tryin to set up to display the current connections for the sites in IIS. I uploaded some .MIB files and am now monitoring currentConnections but its not monitoring individual sites. Maybe I need to refrain from using SNMP for this and go with WMI? My other monitors are all using SNMP. I've searched the discussion board and only found users to setup VBS to do this. I'm so lost... Opmanager - SQL Server cache hit ratio
Is it normal for a database(SQL SERVER 2005) has 100% cache hit ratio? The Opmanager shows an alert that the threshold is violated when the value 100%.. Any solution for reducing the cache hit ratio
NLB Cluster IP
I am using OpManager 7200 and trying to configure it monitor my 2 web servers. The web servers are load balanced. When I discover the servers, OpManager is using the load balanced IP for the interface. When I discover it on server 1, it adds it to server 1, when I discover it on server 2, the interface disappears from server 1 and moves to server 2, and vice-versa. I read in a post from 2005 that this issue was going to be fixed in a future version with the ability to manually add/override each interface.

Single Sign On
I am still having trouble with single sign on and I thought that was fixed in a hotfix release. I am at 7.5.7503 now and when I enabled single sign on, my users get prompted for IIS credentials but then do get logged in. With SSO off, they get presented the service desk login screen but without the IIS login. SSO was working fine in 7.0 for me, don't recall making IIS changes, so has SSO been fixed yet?

Hello, I would like to submit a feature request. For "Scheduled Reports" module, my company would love to have the ability to send scheduled reports as CSV format, not just PDF. As it is, CSV reports can only be run manually. It would be great if we could schedule these as well as PDFs. Thanks. Matt Braga
Bind to ip problem
Hi. We have a dedicated web-server with several IP addresses. SDP Version: 7.0.0 Build 7018 I found this post: forums.adventnet.com/viewtopic.php?p=75309#75309 But it seems that this feature doesn't work in latest version. I changed TrayIconInfo.xml, but nothing happens. SDP still listen on 0.0.0.0. No errors in log, nothing. Looks like SDP ignores ipToBind parameter. How could I bind SDP to one IP address?

Not Assigned reports
I wish to run a periodic report capturing tickets assigned to Technicians that have not had an appropriate Category, Sub Category and Type allocated. I am looking to report on all those with SC and Item as 'Not Assigned' and cannot determine how in Reports this is achieved. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Move from Professional to Enterprise(ITIL)

To stop the monitoring by command lines
Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to stop temporarily the monitoring of a service by sending a command line to Application Manager. During a server maintenance operation, without access to the Application Manager interface, I would like stopping the monitoring on it to avoid alerts on the interface. Is this action possible by command line? Thank you very much for your help.
ELA Trying to connect to unknown IP address
Hi I can see from our firewall logs and from Network Monitor that ELA is trying to connect to an ip address 10.0.0.6 every 10 minutes on port 135 or 137. This IP address is unknown to us and is not an IP of any host for which we are collecting logs. I have double checked all our host details and that IP address is not there. Is there any reason why EventLog Analyser would be trying to connect to this IP address?
Device with Virtual IP?????
I am showing 3 ports (out of 1500) in Switch Port Mapper desiganted as having "Device With Virtual IP" . I have physically looked at the end hosts and for the life of me cannot figure out why they would be getting classified as such. Any ideas?

Config File Manager Backup Hourly
Would it be possible or is it possible to setup the automatic backup scheduler to run every hour. Also, is it possible to have OpUtils send an email when the backup has completed. Thanks, Earl
