Remote Control - Two Network Card in Computer
Hello I'm new in this community. Right now I am testing Desktop Central 10 Remote Control and I faced the problem. The PC has two network adapter. One adapter is for external network use and other is for internal. My Problem is that I can not connect with this computer from Tools > Remote Control > Connect although I can scan PC from Inventory > Scan Systems > Scan Systems or Scan All and the scan process finishes successfully (Scan Status: Success & Remarks: Scanning Completed ) Is there any way

USB Pass through
Good afternoon all, We're currently demoing Desktop Central on a couple of servers and laptops. One issue we have encountered is that we only use PIV cards to login to all of our servers. Only authorized personnel have a PIV Card. The issue we're having is that we can't remotely pass through our PIV card to login to a remote server. Local admin accounts are disabled on all servers, so we have to use a LAPS account to login remotely. Unfortunately, this lacks the oversight of who is actually
Blacken the monitor of the client computer (Does not return to previous theme)
Blacken the monitor of the client computer (Windows only) Computers keep a blackened monitor after the remote session is over. It should return to the previous theme.
Remote connection to Mac Os X 10.14.5 Mojave won't work
Hello, I am trying to reach mac computers using remote control, current version of mac is Mojave 10.14.5 . When I initiate the connection using HTML, a new window pops up but shows green screen with an indicator constantly moving left and right. I have no problems on win computers. I can see the green light on Actions menu of mac in inventory section, every other option is working but remote connection. Firewall on mac is off System Preferences>Security&Privacy>Privacy, ManageengineRemoteAccess
Change the storage path of Desktop Central recordings
Hello Support. We currently have Desktop Central v10.0.399. We have enabled recordings of remote connections generated from Desktop Central. We have two questions: Can we change the storage path of the recordings to another disk drive or to a remote path? Can we set the retention time of the recordings generated from Desktop Central? We need to establish the retention period of the recordings or change the storage path of the recordings, so that these recordings are not going to fill the storage
Remote Control on MacOS
I am unable to get Remote Control to work on a Mac client. The action log in DC shows "Remote Control failed to connect with MACOS- TEST.<b>Reason:</ b> Communication failed between Agent and Server". Windows machines on the same network are able to have Remote Control sessions connect successfully. The mac is fully patched, and has Agent 10.14.16. I also tried it on a second mac on the same subnet and received the same results. I'm not seeing anything amiss on the Mac's logs that point to an issue.

How to disable Desktop Central Remote control?
Is there a way to disable Desktop Central Remote control for certain computers. I would like it to be disabled for the servers. - Tasha
Remote Control
Hello From my understanding when you remote control to a device it is done through the central server. We have sites in various continents with a local IT team and a local distribution server who have performance issues when remote controlling their local machines. Is there a way of utilizing their local Distribution server instead of going through the central server?
Has anyone been able to use the new System Manager features?
We have upgraded to DC 10 and are excited to use Remote Command Line and Remote Event Viewer, but neither of these tools are working for any computer in our network. The event viewer does not load, and the command prompt accepts a command but then stalls. Do we need to open any additional ports for these features? Thanks
Changing notification port
After changing the Notification Server Port ( Admin > Server Settings ) how do I update the agents to use the new port? Running the agent troubleshooter shows that it is still using the default port (8027)? I'm trying to change the port because DirectAccess reserves 6000-40000 and I think it is interfering with the connection.
Desktop Central Chat and Remote Control Behaviour
Hi All, Has anyone experienced the chat tool and/or the remote control tool opening in new tabs rather than a new window? I would much prefer it to open in a new window. Many Thanks, Jake
Remote Control to RDP-Sessions doesn't work properly
Hi there, our remote control seems not to work with RDP-Sessions. We are able to select one of the logged-in-users on the computer, but the initiated remote session shows always the console sessions (the locked admin screen). The Chat feature instead works fine. Any hints? Thanks in advance! Regards, Daniel
Does copy/past from remote to host work with the html5 client
When I connect to a remote computer, I can not copy text from my local computer to the remote or the opposite direction. I can with the ActiveX cleint just not the html5. I am on Windows 10 and the remotes are various versions of windows. Travis
Remote Control on Terminal Server Cluster
I can't seem to populate any users on the servers that are in my terminal server cluster. It will allow me to use the chat function, but cannot remote control the sessions. The only users that are populated are on the connection broker server (sr0dxets10). I would really like to use this product, but this would be it's main function for my Helpdesk.
New Remote Control in 10.0.111
Kudos to the desktop central team; at first glance we really like the new functionality (better dual monitor and task support) in remote control and it seems quicker. My group is excited to use it.
Sharing clipboards between pcs remoted by html5
How do I get clipboard to share with html5 remote control between remotee and remoter?
Accept message for remote connections
Can the remote connection aspect of the software have an accept prompt on the end users side? Or some warning BEFORE the tech connects to the computer.
Remote Control - can no longer have two techs connected at the same time.
This feature used to work, now it brings up the screen and never fully connects. Is that feature still available and is there anything I can do to fix the problem? This happens across multiple browsers and computers. We are running Build Version:10.0.91 currently. I do have a support case opened currently but wanted to post here as well.
Dual monitors - Display both screen simultaneously in remote
Hello everyone, I find the way to work remotely on a multi monitor computer to be not very convinient. Indeed having to switch from one monitor to another and never having the possibility to view all of them makes things complicated. In comparison, Microsoft Remote Assitance tool allows the remote display to be adjusted to you screen or even keep the display size and then you simply move the cursor to get the invisible part of the screen, So I am wondering if there is a different way to display remote

Remote Control to Computers off local Lan
Is it possible to use remote control to access computers/laptops that are not on the local network via Desktop Central? We have a forwarding server set up for our MDM, and the agent currently has that as it's secondary server IP address. Is this possible, or could I get support in how to achieve this? I have just updated it to the latest Patch 10.0.73.
Remote Control to RDP sessions
I occasionally our Server admins have to provide support to other admins who are more application/Dev types and are managing application servers etc. They all log in via RDP to manage those systems. I'd like for any requests they have to be routed through Desktop Central for logging purposes and some of the other advanced features. However when I've tried to get this to work before, it would appear that remote control only extents to those who are logged in as a console user and RDP users never
Remote control random disconnection
I'm using Windows 10, IE 11 (11.953.14393.0). When using HTML 5 (which is awesome!) Remote Control the remote session disconnects after what seems to be a random amount of time. The remote window gives "Connection Error: Web Socket Communication failure. Error: This connection was established under an authenticated HTTP session that has ended. - 1005" When I return to the DC window to reconnect and I click on an option, I get returned to the login screen. After logging back in I can resume the remote
Remote control freeze's up
When connected to another PC, and trying to disconnect it freezes up and it locks up any open IE window on my PC. Only thing i can do is to use Task Manager to kill the IE session and even that sometimes doesn't work. So I have to restart my PC. This sometimes happens 2-3 times a day. This has started to happen in last 2 months only.
Not finding Remote Event Viewer after update
I updated from Desktop Central MSP 10.0.0.47 to 10.0.0.56 excited to get the Remote event viewer feature finally. To my my dismay I'm still not seeing it at all on the System Manager. Is there something I'm missing? I tried the solution found in a topic: https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/10-0-56 No luck! Please help if you can, thanks!
Remote Control - Restrict Users access
Disregard this post. I cant seem to delete it
Issue with two technicians connecting to the same remote connection
Previously, this feature worked great. It appears after the last DesktopCentral patch (we are running build 10.0.56) was installed, we cannot connect to the same desktop at the same time. When you click on "View Desktop" it asks for a confirmation to connect (since a user is already on the desktop). When you click YES the button changes to "Loading" and never finishes the connection. Only refreshing the browser page clears that up and permits connection to a non-shared desktop.
Intermittent Issue with Remote Control with HTML5 in Chrome
Occasionally while attempting to connect to a remote control session, the connection will close with the error "Web Socket Connection failure. Error: Failed to decompress a compressed WebSocket frame - 1002". It will typically show me the remote machine, but as soon as I move the mouse it will drop with this error. Connecting to the same host using the ActiveX control works fine. I'm sure it's our security software catching something. I just need to know where to look. Thanks!
New behavior issue with Remote Control when switching between View Only using the HTML5 viewer
When remoting into a computer with user confirmations disabled, Remote Control immediately grants access to the machine. This is fine, however, if the operator switches to View Only and then switches back, this message will sometimes appear: This prompt is new as of one or two service pack releases. The largest problem is that there is no prompt shown on the client's end, and the session must be recreated to gain control. Sometimes on the second reconnect, this error will show:

Disable actions on the Quick Launch Bar for Remote Control
Is there a way to disable this Quick Launch bar? Help Desk users are able to click on options like Registry Edit, command prompt, etc and they all open under the SYSTEM security context (a big no-no as these folks shouldn't have that level of access). I've disabled the "Enable Quick Launch Tray" option, but not sure if this is the same feature I'm talking about....I must be missing something here.... Running version 9.0.2.113 I've attached screen shots of the feature I'm talking about.
Remote control - Disconnection advise
Hi all, is there possibility to show a popup to a remote user, when the remote session is closed? Regards Maurizio
Remote Control Concerns: Need to User Notification + Awareness
When selecting to remote a control a device in the console, you have to supply a reason. However, this reason doesn't appear to be used anywhere? Our users have raised the following interesting privacy concerns: 1. Someone can remote control their PC without there permission 2. They cannot tell that their PC is being remote controlled Our business is reviewing the idea of banning remote control via Desktop Central because of these concerns. TeamViewer combats this well be allowing users to accept
