Dual monitors - Display both screen simultaneously in remote
Hello everyone, I find the way to work remotely on a multi monitor computer to be not very convinient. Indeed having to switch from one monitor to another and never having the possibility to view all of them makes things complicated. In comparison, Microsoft Remote Assitance tool allows the remote display to be adjusted to you screen or even keep the display size and then you simply move the cursor to get the invisible part of the screen, So I am wondering if there is a different way to display remote
Remote Control to Computers off local Lan
Is it possible to use remote control to access computers/laptops that are not on the local network via Desktop Central? We have a forwarding server set up for our MDM, and the agent currently has that as it's secondary server IP address. Is this possible, or could I get support in how to achieve this? I have just updated it to the latest Patch 10.0.73.
Remote Control to RDP sessions
I occasionally our Server admins have to provide support to other admins who are more application/Dev types and are managing application servers etc. They all log in via RDP to manage those systems. I'd like for any requests they have to be routed through Desktop Central for logging purposes and some of the other advanced features. However when I've tried to get this to work before, it would appear that remote control only extents to those who are logged in as a console user and RDP users never
Remote control random disconnection
I'm using Windows 10, IE 11 (11.953.14393.0). When using HTML 5 (which is awesome!) Remote Control the remote session disconnects after what seems to be a random amount of time. The remote window gives "Connection Error: Web Socket Communication failure. Error: This connection was established under an authenticated HTTP session that has ended. - 1005" When I return to the DC window to reconnect and I click on an option, I get returned to the login screen. After logging back in I can resume the remote
Remote control freeze's up
When connected to another PC, and trying to disconnect it freezes up and it locks up any open IE window on my PC. Only thing i can do is to use Task Manager to kill the IE session and even that sometimes doesn't work. So I have to restart my PC. This sometimes happens 2-3 times a day. This has started to happen in last 2 months only.
Not finding Remote Event Viewer after update
I updated from Desktop Central MSP 10.0.0.47 to 10.0.0.56 excited to get the Remote event viewer feature finally. To my my dismay I'm still not seeing it at all on the System Manager. Is there something I'm missing? I tried the solution found in a topic: https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/10-0-56 No luck! Please help if you can, thanks!
Remote Control - Restrict Users access
Disregard this post. I cant seem to delete it
Issue with two technicians connecting to the same remote connection
Previously, this feature worked great. It appears after the last DesktopCentral patch (we are running build 10.0.56) was installed, we cannot connect to the same desktop at the same time. When you click on "View Desktop" it asks for a confirmation to connect (since a user is already on the desktop). When you click YES the button changes to "Loading" and never finishes the connection. Only refreshing the browser page clears that up and permits connection to a non-shared desktop.
Intermittent Issue with Remote Control with HTML5 in Chrome
Occasionally while attempting to connect to a remote control session, the connection will close with the error "Web Socket Connection failure. Error: Failed to decompress a compressed WebSocket frame - 1002". It will typically show me the remote machine, but as soon as I move the mouse it will drop with this error. Connecting to the same host using the ActiveX control works fine. I'm sure it's our security software catching something. I just need to know where to look. Thanks!
New behavior issue with Remote Control when switching between View Only using the HTML5 viewer
When remoting into a computer with user confirmations disabled, Remote Control immediately grants access to the machine. This is fine, however, if the operator switches to View Only and then switches back, this message will sometimes appear: This prompt is new as of one or two service pack releases. The largest problem is that there is no prompt shown on the client's end, and the session must be recreated to gain control. Sometimes on the second reconnect, this error will show:

Disable actions on the Quick Launch Bar for Remote Control
Is there a way to disable this Quick Launch bar? Help Desk users are able to click on options like Registry Edit, command prompt, etc and they all open under the SYSTEM security context (a big no-no as these folks shouldn't have that level of access). I've disabled the "Enable Quick Launch Tray" option, but not sure if this is the same feature I'm talking about....I must be missing something here.... Running version 9.0.2.113 I've attached screen shots of the feature I'm talking about.
Remote control - Disconnection advise
Hi all, is there possibility to show a popup to a remote user, when the remote session is closed? Regards Maurizio
Remote Control Concerns: Need to User Notification + Awareness
When selecting to remote a control a device in the console, you have to supply a reason. However, this reason doesn't appear to be used anywhere? Our users have raised the following interesting privacy concerns: 1. Someone can remote control their PC without there permission 2. They cannot tell that their PC is being remote controlled Our business is reviewing the idea of banning remote control via Desktop Central because of these concerns. TeamViewer combats this well be allowing users to accept

Remote Desktop doesnt support dynamic scaling
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askcore/2015/12/08/display-scaling-in-windows-10/ I don't know if you have updated your core Zoho and forgotten DC, but if a high-res laptop is plugged into a normal monitor, the laptop screen is practically useless due to DC's Zoho agent not identifying the new windows scaling. An easy way to reproduce is on a dual-monitor PC: set primary monitor DPI to 100% scaling, and secondary monitor to 150% scaling. this is an example of what the remote PC's second monitor

DC Remote Control Copy and Paste
Hi I need some help/advice re DesktopCentral's Remote Control feature. I am finding that it doesn't support the copying of text from the controlled PC to the controller's PC but it works the other way round. Is there a way to get this working bi-directional? I am using the HTML5 option with Chrome browser, but also tried with Firefox and Edge. Thanks for any suggestions!
Remote-Control Winkey glitch
I was actually testing another issue (I can remote-in but can't use DC system manager tool) when the remote-user lost control of her PC that I remoted into (HTML5 viewer). The setup: Head office - DC Server - DELL PC using chrome (LAN) to connect to remote-office using HTML5 viewer Remote office - DELL PC (identical to mine) After a successful remote-access session (and then disconnected) the remote-PC thinks that the windows-key is being held down all the time. Getting the remote-user
After update to Desktop Central SP2 or later remote control stops working.
Build 91124 works. But when I try to update to 92041 it stops working and just errors out.
Tools/Remote Control shows "No Domains Available" and shows no computers
Hello, When I go to "Tools/Remote Control" within DC it populates no Domains or computers. No search criteria (adding a specific IP address or computer name) to search for yields anything. This also happens when I go to "Inventory"... No data is present at all. The agent says it is installed correctly. Clicking Scan Systems/Patch Scan shows all systems and all available domains. This just started happening maybe 2-3 weeks ago. Thank you for any suggestions
Remote Control launches window option menu on connect
Whenever I connect to a client, the top window's menu launches like this: It would also be nice to have an option to launch in view only mode with the ability to take control. The current 'view only' option is a global option and does not allow taking control after the session has started.
Remote Control will not connect successfully.
I just upgraded Desktop Central last week to Build 92029. The Remote Control (HTML 5) which was working great is now not connecting and stays at loading or when I click connect it will go back to connecting and then will just hang. This is urgent since the majority of the computers we use are remote and now cannot connect to.

Waiting for presenter message
While trying to connect to a system remotely, it gets stuck on the screen stating "Waiting for Presenter" . I have already completely updated/reinstalled Java to latest version, confirmed that Active X was enabled on system, and also completely reinstalled the Desktop Central Agent but am still having no luck. Any ideas of what might be causing the issue or what I should try next?

Desktop Central HTML 5 Viewer
Myself and a few of my coworkers are having remote control problems with the HTML5 Viewer. We have had to remote numerous times to the same machine. The viewer will not connect and displays message "Agent not Reachable" or it will go back to status of "disconnected". I have tried rebooting the client machines and the server. Neither worked, and we are still experiencing the problem. Some machines after trying to connect 7 or 8 times it will finally connect but then after a minute or 2 the session

HTML5 viewer ultra slow
Hey! Today's patch introduced HTML 5 viewer for remote controlling computers, but it is ultra slow, it needs 5 seconds to do anything. Remote cursor is slowly following my mouse, and when I click on anything, it needs 5 seconds to accept that click. both computers are good, i3, ssd, 4gb ram, and connected by 100 mbps link, so it is not hardware issue. Thanks, Tomislav
Remote Control does not work on large displays
I have had problems remoting into computers with large displays. The issue arises if any user has the screen size set to "larger 150%". It also arises if the users resolution is WQHD, 2560 x 1440. That is the only resolution that I have been able to try above 1920 x 1080. As we are deploying more laptops with WQHD, 2560 x 1440 resolution and many users use the larger 150% size in order to see the screen clearly, this is becoming problem for us. I can not add attachments on here via the desktop or

Roaming users maximum
Hey all, We have about 30 users (sales, marketing) who rarely are in the office where our server is. There is the option to configure roaming users to directly communicate to the server when outside our network, in the documentation it recommends doing this for no more than 10 users for bandwidth related issues. What's the recommended course of action for a situation like this? The important thing for us would be to let our technicians remote into their machines for support when needed.
Enable NPAPI in your Chrome browser for trouble-free Remote Desktop Sharing
Hi All, In the latest version of Google Chrome browser (Version 42), Google has removed NPAPI support. Since Desktop Central's Remote Control makes use of this plugin when used from Chrome, we request you to perform the below steps on the viewer machine to configure NPAPI based plugins. Enter "chrome://flags/#enable-npapi" in Google chrome's address bar. Click "Enable" link for the "Enable NPAPI Mac, Windows" option. Restart Google Chrome. Now try Remote Control from Desktop Central. More Details:
Remote Office IP and ports (WAN)
Hello, I got a couple of computers that's never in the office so I have to make a remote office configuration. I just wan't the agent to communicate with the server over https, could I only open up port 8383 in the firewall then? Or do I have to open the other ports to? Like 8027 and so on? In the settings for the remote office Desktop Central has the local server IP adress by default? Because it's there and I didn't add it. Could I just change that to the WAN IP or the domain name i configured?
