Custom Monitor not working - Please help
I am having a real problem in getting custom monitor to work. It is appending ".0" to the OID I specify causing a failure.. Below is the OID for "Memory Utilization" on Cisco devices present in the "Resource Monitors" section and it works just fine.. (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1*100)/(.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1+.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.6.1) However, when I setup a custom monitor using on of the above OIDs it fails, very likely becuase of a ".0" appended at the end. e.g a specified OID of ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.48.1.1.1.5.1"
APC UPS with environmental monitoring card

Custom Monintor is changing the specified OID
I am seeing a probelm in OpManager 6.0 when adding a custom monitor for my Dell PowerEdge server. The probelm is when I create a custom monitor using the OID obtained from MIB Browser, OpManager is appending a ".0" to the OID. e.g I am creating a custom monitor "ifOperStatus.65540" to view the operational status of my GigE interface on the poweredge. Hi, I am trying to create a meaningful notification message when we have a "URL down" problem. For reasons that would take too much time to explain, I need to use the URL monitor on Device level and not the global URL monitor. I keep getting AuthenticationFailures on lots of different devices. I have check the SNMP settings with the devices and ensure that the Opmanager settings are the same, but the warnings keep happening Any Ideas
the server dont start
After install the OpManager 6 (Windows) i try start the server but a blink a DOS prompt in the screen and the server dont start i execute the command line: "C:\Arquivos de programas\AdventNet\ME\OpManager\jre\bin\javaw.exe" -Djava.library.path=.\lib -jar .\classes\OpManagerStartupCla but the system return "path not found" what can i do?
Error when trying to run StartOpManager.sh
Just installed the latest version as of this posting with no problems. Interface Utilisation Not Working :(
I am monitoring a Cisco 2801 Router which is connected to a 2Mbps Leased Line. On other monitoring software I have been trialling, this link speed is reported correctly and therefore the Interface Utilisation is correct. From OpManager the link speed is not reported and therefore my Interface Utilisation is not being shown at all. Any ideas? Thanks.
Exchange 2003 monitoring generates excess network traffic
I have noticed that network traffic between Opmanager server and remote Exchange 2003 servers is about 3-4 Gigabytes a month per server. I find that this is rather disturbing as monitoring almost equals SMTP traffic. Can someone explain what is generating this kind of traffic and if there is anything that can be done to reduce it without losing benefits from this add-on. Thanks

Does the MS SQL capability include using an ODBC connection to an external SQL database? I have so many devices in opmanager now, it's outgrown it's current server. I have a more robust server ready, but this would be a good time, to convert it's database to MS SQL. Can you provide a link to the using an MS SQL dtabase information? Thanks!
MSP help desk ticketing system

Feature Request - Central Management of multiple sites or Cu
Hello, I would like to be able to install OpManager at all of my customer sites and have a central server at my office to be able to monitor all of the customers from one management screen. I would envision installing OpManager at a customer site and then have it forward all information to a central server at my office. User rights
Hello, Which rights must the user on the server have for authentication. I don't know how to explain in english, but look at the attached file :) Does he have to be an administrator because the administrator on our servers can monitor all servers/devices in europe/america/japan. That's not the intention; the intention is just to monitor europe. Can we make a normal user @ the servers for monitoring? I hope you guys understand my question... Abstruse

Hi, There are something wrong for my opmanager. So I run the "repairdb.bat" to solve the problem. But I see a lot of error message. "warning: 5 clients is using or hasn't closed the table properly". How to fix it? Sam.
Device Type Settings
The device type setting did not update for the scan so now I need to go through and select each device individually to set the device type to Windows2003 for example.. or is there a bulk update method for this?
Export to PDF from Monitor Detail Screen?
I know that from the Reports screen you can export to PDF but is this possible from the following: Click on the device --> Go to Monitors ----> Click on one of the Resource Monitors This would be useful as the Reports menu dosn't always show the graph and when the graphs are viewed they are always really small on screen. Server outage and total availability
We are having some issues with our purchased copy of OpManager. after adding all of our servers into Opmanager, and setting them up for SNMP, the uptime does not change if I bring a server down. All we get is a web service outage. I currently have 50 servers in OpManager and out of this 50, 10 are experiencing this problem. They were all added, and setup the same. When I go to printout a report, it should show outages for these servers, instead, it shows 100% availability which it shouldn't. Any
Problem with adding device (snmp related)
HI, I've got a strange problem with OpManager version 6 while adding an accesspoint. When I add the device it is not stored into the database. The device was added with the correct IP and SNMP communitystring. The only way to add it now is to add it with the incorrect SNMP communitystring. Within the asset managment area there are workstations and assets. To me workstations are assets. How can we give the workstations the same fields as assets i.e. cost, purchase date and so on.

A couple of notification bugs?
I am using ver 5.6 and have found a few annoying bugs in the alerting. I have a wireless network with a dependecy set for the wireless gateway for all the devices beyond that point. This morning the gateway failed and the dependecy worked just fine on the failure and only notified me of the firsst failure point, all points beyond that that "depend" on the gateway did not email an error.... great so far. Problem removing URL monitor
Hi, I used to have a couple of URL monitors in opmanager with "&" signs in the monitor name. When i deleted the monitors, opmanager told me it successfully removed those monitors, but apparently did not. When i go into the admin panel, url monitors, those monitors still exist. Also the alarms regarding those url monitors can't get wiped, very innoying, i already tried restarting the opmanager service, but no luck either.

I have a global catalog server which, a few days after making it an Opmanager client, started getting Event 1053 Source Userenv errors in the Application log. After trying a few things and realizing that nothing on it had changed other than making it an Opmanager client, I deleted it from Opmanager. The errors stopped. I then readded it to Opmanager to see what would happen. Now Opmanager doesn't see it as being SNMP enabled (no star). Also in the device alarms I repeatedly get AuthenticationFailure

Custom monitor problem
Hi, I have problems plotting the IIS current connections. I have the MIB's in place, and i am able to get the value from the MIB oid. The only problem is, it does not display me the absolute value, but the difference between two measure points.
