Opmanager web interface failing
Hi; I've just installed and licenced the new version (6) of opmanager. however now, after a certain amount of time suddenly the web interface stops working? I'm only accessing the interface from one machine. And I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Opmanager once. If i then restart the opmanager service the website starts working again? Is this a licencing issue? I never had any problems with the trial version of 5.5
Custom Application monitors
Is there anyway to add custom application monitors to OpManager, I need to monitor processes on Solaris 5.8. I read through the forums and found a post where it directed the user to a link on how to setup Linux process monitoring but i need to monitor solaris processes and daemons. How do I do this and have it show using snmp since most if not all of the OID monitors are a graph using a number or percent? I need to check if something in solaris is up or down and if down to send a critical alert.
problem with Windows 2000 Server Std
Hi, i try the free version of opmanager. I've got a problem with SNMP and a Windows 2000 Server. I installed SNMP on this machine and checked the settings for the snmp service (public...) but it isn't possible for the manager to contact them. The communication over snmp with a Windows 2003 Server is ok... What is wrong? simon
Access to OpManager via a firewall
Hi, I've just purchased v6 of OpManager and have a problem trying to access the application from outside our internal network (via the internet). I have configured our firewall to accept port mapping and I think that the first call to OpManager appears to work as I get the login screen displayed. The problem seems to occur when OpManager tries to return the Home page data. Have you got any suggestions on what I need to do to allow me to access the OpManager data from anywhere in the world? SLA reporting
I like the features of your product, especially the custom MIB support. Do you have an SLA report which can be automatically generated & mailed out on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis? Ideally what I'm looking for is network wide SLA exception reporting. I.E. - only show me devices which have exceeded a predetermined threshold during the reporting time period.
email notification problem
We're having an issue where some of our email alerts are not being sent, while some are. An excerpt from the notificationlogs.txt file follows (I've masked some info). Some entries indicate "Sending Email Notification for " followed by a text display name (those mails go OK), while some indicate "Sending Email Notification for " followed by the device's IP address (those mails do not go). I don't know if that is signficant. It does not appear to be an issue with the email notification profile, since
FWSM
I cannot get any cpu or active session counts to show up in Opmanager. It finds the interfaces and knows its an FWSM so SNMP is working.
Alarms - Trap Message Cut Off
There seems to be a maximum length of the message for an Alarm tiggered by a SNMP trap. Our CISCO equiptment is returning data that exceeds the max length of the message on an alert. This is a problem because the info we need is at the end of the string. Is there any way to fix this? Are there any parsing tricks in the system?
Problem starting OpManager 6
Hi, We are using the new trial of OpManager v 6.0. We had to restart the service this morning, but we were not able to get it running again. All it does is starting the java.exe process, but no mysql or apache proces. There is only one log file being written, the wrapper.log, saying: vm 1 | 2006/01/27 17:21:32 | Wrapper (Version 3.1.1) http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org INFO | jvm 1 | 2006/01/27 17:21:32 | INFO | jvm 1 | 2006/01/27 17:21:33 | inside addon check That's all it does. OpManager Web Client - Blank Screen

OID's not valid?

incorrect mem utilization values
Dear Support, I am using opmanager build 5.6 to monitor local exchange servers. SO far, when i use WMI to display CPU utilization, the values are correct. But with SNMP, they are wrong. How come? Also, the memory utilization snapshot (pie chart) shows incorrect values. Please help. THanks
getting error! page when logging in
After I install OpManager 6.0, it seems to run alright for a few minutes and then it crashing. When I try to login I get a page that simply says error!. This has occurred on two different systems I have attempted to eval OpManager on. I did a quick search and did not see anything that stood out. Thanks in advance for your help.

Auto Discover doesnt work
I have installed opmanger and when I do a auto discover it doesnt find anything. All my local machines on my network have a local firewall running. Any ideas.
no outgoing traffic visible
i have configured my 2600 router with following command ; int fa0/0 ip route-cache flow ip flow-export source fa0/0 ip flow-export version 5 ip flow-export destination 10.x.x.x 9996 i am able to get the in coming traffic on the interface but out going is not visible Can anyone help me out to sort what exactly the problem is. thanks, Vishal D.
WMI memory utilization monitor
I have set up 3 WMI monitors for a server as a test. CPU a utilization is at 23 %, which seems correct. Disk Utilization is at 32%, which may be OK as well. Memory utilization is at -123%. What could cause this? HP Proliant ML370, 5GB RAM, Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Ed. Thank you, David Conroy
Java client doesn't work
Hi all, I have been installed the Opmanager 6.0 for 1 week and I found that the Java client doesn't work. Everytime when I start up the client the Opmanager start up the web client instead. Please advise how can I fix this probem cos I really want to try out the 'business view'. thanks, Alex

Customize the "Vendor Specific Monitors"
Hi, is it possible to customize "Vendor Specific Monitors". I want a new Group "Interaction Inteligence" and add some custom monitors to this group. I have a custom monitor, this monitor check an subsystem as result i become 1 for running or 0 for stopped. It is possible to change the format for this monitor like Windows Services. So when the result is 1 it should show the green dot and when it is 0 then red dot? Please advise. Thanks. Christian

Inlet/Outlet Temperature Monitor does not work
The Cisco vendor specific inlet/outlet temperature monitors do not work, any idea's on what needs to be done to get this working as this is would be extremely useful. This is same for Cisco routers and switches. Any help appreciated. Regards Scott.

CPU Load under Linux?
Hi Folks, We're in the process of evaluating OpManager as a replacement to a hodge-podge BigBrother+MRTG system, and so far am pretty impressed (I'm assuming that the insane slowness of the system is due to the PIII-800 It's currently running on while we evaluate the software..).
