Switch port collisions
Hello,
I have a question concerning switch monitoring. I had +18000 collisions on a FastEthernet interface (0/24) from a Cisco catalyst 2950T. So I cleared the counters on the Cisco switch and checked those counters again a while later. The switch shows me at the moment that there are +-88 collisions on that interface, but OpManager still tells me (a few polls later) that there are +18000 collisions on that interface.
[ I'm using the vendor specific monitor > Cisco > Interface collisions ]
Is this normal? I would say that OpManager show the same number of collisions as the Cisco switch shows but this isn't the case.
