Problem with adding device (snmp related)

Problem with adding device (snmp related)

HI,

I've got a strange problem with OpManager version 6 while adding an accesspoint. When I add the device it is not stored into the database. The device was added with the correct IP and SNMP communitystring. The only way to add it now is to add it with the incorrect SNMP communitystring.

I've done some research on this problem and found on the serverlogging the following entries:

Logging from stderr12 on serversite when adding device with correct parameters:

13:30:03:343 PM DatabaseProduct = 2:DatabaseName=MYSQL
13:30:03:343 PM com.adventnet.nms.store.NmsStorageException: Syntax error or access violation, message from server: "You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '.2.10)))) AND (((IpAddress.PARENTNODE = 'vegwln008.veg.eu.mar"

Logging from discoverylog8 when I've added the device with the incorrect snmp and after it was added changed it to the correct setting:

07:50:51:586 DISCOVERY: Adding SNMP node : 10.6.12.14
07:50:51:617 DISCOVERY: Exception in addSNMPInterface com.adventnet.nms.store.NmsStorageException: Syntax error or access violation, message from server: "You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '.2.10)))) AND (((IpAddress.PARENTNODE = 'vegwln008.veg.eu.mar"

So for some reason the device is sending out some snmp stuff which OpManager cannot handle. Funny part in this that in OpManager already 3 accesspoints from the same type (Proxim Orinoco AS-2000 Access Point) that are running correctly.
