A couple of notification bugs?
I am using ver 5.6 and have found a few annoying bugs in the alerting.
I have a wireless network with a dependecy set for the wireless gateway for all the devices beyond that point.
This morning the gateway failed and the dependecy worked just fine on the failure and only notified me of the firsst failure point, all points beyond that that "depend" on the gateway did not email an error.... great so far.
However I need to also receive notification when the status returns to normal.
When the link came back up, I received an "Active and responding" notice from every point past the gateway that depended on it, a huge flood of emails.
Now one would expect I should have only received the "Active and Responding" message from a device that previously sent a failed message!!
This is an annoying little bug. I hope that there is some work around or it will be fixed in a future release.
