Problem in desktop central when adding any PC in domain
Dear Team, Please help me out. I am using SDP 8.1 & DC 8.0 with a feature of integration of each other. But whenever a machine is added in domain, this become a request and forwarded to SDP. So how can I stop this. Your reply are highly appreciated. Regards Prashant Mangal

Clients with multiple IP's
Hi, I am having an issue with certain client machines that may have Multiple IP addresses it appears that clients that have multiple IP 's will not be managed by Desktop central server correctly scans fail, configurations do not apply disabling these additional NIC's with different subnetted IP's is not an acceptable solution as they are required for example for cluster services can you advise how i set one fo these IP addresses for the client as the primary means of comms to the server Thanks
DC8 Spamming new hardware mails: Addition of Hardware Detected:Desktop Monitor,Desktop Monitor
I have DC8 set up to mail about hardware changes made to machines, A very useful feature. DC8 Builds 80340 & 80339 send many mails about new monitors. Most of these machines are virtual but with some laptops and a desktop too. I've had 8 reports about new monitors just for my main laptop which hasn't got any external monitors attached. Hi, Would it be possible to have a copy of DC ULA ? We have a legal concern, regarding licenses. We purchased DC with 1000 nodes to support our business, we currently have 300 computers that are actively managed, so we have 700 free nodes. I have a couple of companies that run Desktop Central MSP for me to manage their computers. I'm ready to purchase a license and wonder if there is a way to migrate or merge these DBs. Does DTC support Single Sign on? Its a pain to sign in every morning when SD+ signs in automaticly and i have to manually sign in to DTC. How-To: Change Date format used by reports
I want to export a report with a date or datetime column to XLS or CSV for further processing using Excel. But since we use German version of Excel, I can't use the date format exported by desktop central, for example "Mon, Jan 20 2014, 12:00:00". Instead I need the date value in the format "20.01.2014" or "20.01.2014 12:00:00" So, my question is how to change the date format used by Desktop Central especially regarding reports. (In Servicedesk the overall date format can be easily change under "Personalize").

WOL over Cisco 2960
Hi All, Has anyone currently setup and using WOL broadcasting through cisco 2960 switch? We have lots of different subnets for each floor and branches of our company and would like to enable WOL to automate windows updates. Pull event logs with Inventory
Are we missing it or is there not the ability to review event logs for managed machines in DeskTop Central? We currently have LanSweeper also as were planning to replace it with DC. LanSweeper pulls the event logs with the inventory scan which allows technicians to review the latest logs prior to even connecting or contacting the requester. This many time allows for a hypothesis to be well formed at the time of first contact. If this does not exist, sounds like a feature request.
I've never used DC to patch my servers....
I have a wide range of servers 2003, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 hyper v hosts, etc... some physical, some hyper V, etc... I've never used DC to patch my servers, have always run it without issue on my workstations but have been leery of patching my servers. Curious to hear from users who are patching their servers and if there is anything I should be aware of in terms of do's don'ts types of boxes I shouldn't use DC to patch, etc...

How to set targets in Permissions Manager within Desktop Central?
I've created a permission to grant Domain Users to have full access when running an executable and to the related registry keys. I've tried to set the target to Domain User and to two OUs containing Windows 7 computers, but the Execution Status still shows "No targets available". Status shows Ready to Execute. Agent Not Reachable in Desktop central
We have recently migrated the ME-DC Server to a new computer, we verified the old http:\\oldserver:8383 its diverting to the http:\\newserver8383 however when we tried to scan the agents its showing Agent not reachable. VMWare ESX 5.1 crash
Has anyone else experienced a crash (PSOD) of an ESXi 5.1 host when installing the Desktop Central agent onto a virtual machine? I have had this happen twice. How to test DC Agent ICON in System Tray
We are thinking of turning on the Agent Icon in the System Tray (currently it is off) and we want to test the features of the agent. Hi, When Desktop Central was first installed it was not envisaged that it would take up as much space as it does and therefore it was installed on a disk without enough space. There's only one Distribution server on the network and the the remote office is setup to use direct communication over https. Problem with the way IE v11 shows up in Software Inventory
We're running Desktop Central 8 release 80296 (I think it's the latest available). I've used the templates to create a package for deploying IE v11 for Win 7 x64 (noticed that it was recommended we remove the command-line option that doesn't look for updates).
