We have one remote office that  we use to setup, check for patches,  and configure new workstations.  This remote office is called:

AIT Cost Share Setup

PCs typically are setup in the workgroup "WORKGROUP" and after DC reports that they have all software and patches, we change the workgroup name to one that matches the workgroup name that is used at the remote office.  The PC is then moved to the remote office.

This leaves the "AIT Cost Share Setup" office with a references to:

AIT Cost Share Setup - WORKGROUP  (this is what we expect)

AIT Cost Share Setup -  ARANSAS-TX  (I am interested in being able to routinely remove some of these).

We also have an entry that appears to have hi-order bits set for the characters and we want to remove it as well.

In the future, we will move the PC to the remote office and then change the workgroup name which will help us avoid this "cluttering" up of the Domain/Workgroup.
