Problem with the way IE v11 shows up in Software Inventory
We're running Desktop Central 8 release 80296 (I think it's the latest available).
I've used the templates to create a package for deploying IE v11 for Win 7 x64 (noticed that it was recommended we remove the command-line option that doesn't look for updates).
Now I see that our workstations that have IE v11 installed, the software inventory displays it as "Windows Internet Explorer 9" with a version of 9.11.9600 (IE v10 shows up as "Windows Internet Explorer 10" with a version of 9.10.9200).
It would be helpful if the description field (titled "Software Name") were changed for IE v11 to match the way IE v10 is displayed:
"Windows Internet Explorer 11" (or some similar variation of that.
I'm trying to get a handle on how many of our machines have already been upgraded to IE v11 (or are still running IE v10 or IE v9).
