Default admin user account
Hi Guys, I need help to change the default admin or administrator password. I have tried using admin admin as well as administrator administrator and it does not work. I received an email with a MySQL query which is supposed to change the login info to admin admin and it does not work. Please help!!

When using the purchase module; I Place the order; Authorise the order; Book the goods in, and the PO is then closed How do I then return part of the order back to the supplier? Email Polling
After running a test of the Opmanager6 and uninstalling the application. the service Desk is still polling the test e-mail from the OpManager which is no longer installed on the machine. I have deleted all the directories containing the OpManager and 1 week later I am still getting the test e-mail. the Service Desk email box is empty yet this is still happening. Is this a bug with the newest release which I am running Version : 5.5.0 Build Number : 5507 ?? Please Help

mail fetching problems...
Hello SD-support, Once a while SD (v.5.5.0) stops fetching mails from our mailserver. Sometimes it helps to click the stop and start mail fetching button. Other times it helps to restart the SD-service (a few times). Yet another time I had to remove a couple of emails from the mailbox on the server, before SD would start fetching the remaining. Requesters Refresh Page
The default for refresh on the requests page is set to "none". Is it possible to change this to every minute. It is annoying having to remember to change this everytime I login to SD. Many thanks George
Set DueByDate when creating a Request?
Is there a way to add the DueByDate to the Request Form so that when a Request is created the DueByDate can be assigned? The only way I see to set a DueByDate is to create the Ticket and then go back in and Edit the ticket and that makes the DueByDate available. I would like to have the option to set the DueByDate when creating the Request.
Getting Started
I've been on a quest to find a help desk software and Advent seems like they offer the best bang for the buck. However, after downloading I have no idea what to do next. Problems Integrating an Exchange(SMTP)account in ServiceDesk
I�m trying to configure an e-mail account, this account is an SMTP account, when I configure this account in Outllok I just need know the exchange name server and the display name. In the Mail Server Settings section from service desk, asked me about the Incoming server but in this section i don�t found a SMTP e-mail type If I can do anything else please let me know thanks in advance
Disk utilization at 100%
We are encountering performance issues with Service Desk Plus. Using Windows perfmon the Avg Disk Queue Length peaks and stays at 100% for several minutes. The host is a dell optiplex 280, with 2GB RAM, 40GB Western Digital Sata hard drive (WDC WD400JD-00LSA0), OS Server 2003 The periods of slowness make it difficult to work in the help desk. They occur periodically, approximately twice an hour with no apparent patterns.
Multiple emails for one ticket
I know if you put ##ticket_number## in the subject of an email, it appends it to the ticket. But is there any other way? For instance, OpManager may generate 4 or 5 tickets in helpdesk, for one server outage. I would really prefer one ticket with all the emails attached to the ticket. Otherwise, I have to go in and merge all the tickets together. Thanks, Matt

Inventory Change Report
We are looking at change management as part of our compliance requirements. I notice that under each server/workstation there is a history tab that shows software changes. Wonderful I thought. Problem is it will take forever to go through each workstation and server. is there a report, custom or otherwise that will list all the changes and the software that has changed on a server or workstation for a given period. If not can someone suggest the best way to get this information using Business Objects.

Problem in importing from Active Directory
While importing users from AD I suddenly have lost connection to the application, and of course AD. We have about 3500 users to import and I never come through with all those. Sometimes I get 4 00 user, next time 1000 users. Any idea what's wrong? Reidun :?
Preventative Maintenance - one month out
We have two preventative jobs that alert us to handle the changes from BST to GMT on a number of clients sites. This morning I look at the servicedesk and I have two jobs for this recurring job sue for today. Today is the 24th November and the jobs are scheduled for 24th October and 24th March. I am not sure that we actually saw the job turn up on SD+ back in October. Any thoughts? Thanks

Users [requesters] not able to view requests
Our users in our organization have not yet been logging to SD+ to create and view their requests. I would like to have them start this process but we are having a problem with my test users viewing requests that they are the requester of. The only requests they can view and track are ones they create themselves via the web form. If I or another technician change an already created request to make them the requester they can not view the request. They also can not see any old completed requests that
Call Templates
Morning - I recall asking some months ago for the ability to have common call templates within Service Desk. i.e. password reset calls. The reply was that it was on the roadmap and would be included soon; to my knowledge this feature has yet to be included, could you please confirm when it will be? SDP Client
When will we be able to install a SDP client on users PCs to gather the inventory data and relay it to the SDP server? I would rather the client use just one port for communication back to the server rather than having WMI, RPC, DCOM services always enabled. RPC ports open and ports 135 and 445 open. Add On Program Settings
First off, thanks for the fantastic programs! We currently use Service Desk Plus, and we're evaluating OPManager and Firewall Analyzer. My suggestion isn't related to just service desk, but to all your programs. I notice how OpManager can integrate into Service Desk, and vice versa. But how about adding that feature in all the programs? Something where you can customize what programs you'd like to "Jump to". do we have tools that may help speed up service desk, we have noticed that flicking between screens can somtimes appear to off hung, i dont beleave this is the case just that it is retriving the information, is there a tool to help make the performance of the database retrival quicker, hope this makes sense, thanks ryan
Business rule based on customized field
