SDP 7.5 Mail fetching not working
Hi there, We have upgraded and amongst other problems, mail fetching has stopped working. Have checked username, password etc but nothing. Please assist. Thanks Ciosa
Problems since upgrading to 7.5 from 7.0.2.0
Please see attached for the problems I've experienced this morning since upgrading to 7.5 yesterday. I tried to uninstall because it was getting annoying but apparently I can't do this. Problems include an issue when creating a custom report with the available columns window becoming increasingly smaller when I make selections, and also getting errors when I simply try and save a resolution. Version is 7.5.0 build 7500

SDP 7.5 - Request Template Customizer (Moving fields around)
Hi I have successfully upgraded to SDP 7.5 but don't seem to be able to update the default request template. Specifically, I want to be able to move some fields around. I am able to select & drag but "dropping" doesn't seem to do anything. Tried on IE7, FireFox & IE6. Has anyone been able to do this? Thanks Gordon
Pos. SD+ 7.5 issue: Requestor autofill issue
Again, Is anyone else experiencing this problem since upgrade to 7.5? Occurs on editing or adding a new request. On typing in a requestor and selecting from drop down list, SD+ should autofill the requestor details. Since upgrading, I'm getting results as attached. Following the alternative process of clicking the link beside the requestor name and opening a seperate window pulls in the details just fine.
SDP 7.5 "Request Form Customizer" disappeared
Dear all, after installig the obove mentioned version the option "Request Form Customizer" disappeared (please see attachement). We already tried to uninstall this servicepack, but it�s not possible. Please can somebody help me as we need this option urgend. Thanks in advance Julia
Apply hotfix 7022 problem
We have tried to upgrade to 7022 and have encountered a problem where we saw the data for about 3 minutes then when the page updates it will give a 500 error. We have tried to roll back to 7019 and are having the same problems. A call has been logged to support@servicedeskplus.com were we have attached all usual support files BUT we have had no reply and this is urgent for us now! Failed Upgrade to SPD 7.5
Hi All, Stuck at the moment and not sure how to get around this. Failed an upgrade to the latest version riht after completing a upgrade to the version before (7022). i took a backup before doing oth upgrades, the first seemed to go along fine, although i didnt test it. filtering in reports: only IS and NOT IS are useable
Advanced Filtering in Reporting essentially won't let you utilize Contains, Not Contains, Start With, or End With. When Choosing, the current column values found in the database are of course listed for selecting, but there is no way to key in a literal for comparison. Pos. SD+ 7.5 issue: Can no longer edit Groups
Is anyone else experiencing this problem since upgrade to 7.5? Nothing actually happens other than a javascript error in the bottom left hand corner of the browser. I've tested this on a couple of browsers with the same result now.
Issue after upgrade to v7.5
I have upgraded my system from 7022 to 7.5 after a few issues. Now when i go to edit a workstation the compulsary field 'Model' says 'Choose Model', when i click to view the list nothing is shown. I am unable to add a new model because the model already exists. Any help is appreciated

Hi ALL ! My version : SDP Version : 7.0.0 Build 7020 PRO My Team has some troubles. We are 9 technicians. We defined some roles. I've "SDAdmin" role, so for me all is OK. We defined for each "Access levels" two level : for i.e for "Requests" we've created "SD_Requests_lvl0" and "SD_Requests_lvl1". Pos. SD+ 7.5 issue: Site settings maintain as Custom
Again, is anyone else experiencing this problem since upgrade to 7.5? Sites inheriting default settings won't remember the setting as such and changes to "custom". Clicking the radial back to "Copy Default Settings" doesn't seem to stick.
Pos. SD+ 7.5 issue: Can't associate Technicians to a site
Fainlly, is anyone else also experiencing this problem since upgrade to 7.5? Firstly, there does not appear to be a field for Site for Technicians. Secondly, having ticked several Technicians clicking the Actions drop-down list to "asscoiate to site" doesn't seem to do anything. Consequently, filtering by Site doesn't change anything.
7.5 Workstation scanning - Domain mode - hangs
With the new 7500 patch I have now a working test system to check the functionality with. First big issue Ive come across is not able to do a Windows Domain Scan or a single workstation scan within Asset section. Started the domain scan around 19:40 in the log attached and the screen showed the number of assets from AD and then instead of progressing through the machines it just sat there. As this is a less than powerful test machine I left it running till around 22:30 and still no progress so aborted.

Hi, I've seen in previous posts about any issues running SDP on Windows Server 2008 that SDP is going to be officially supported on 2008 from the release of 7.5. Self service alias URL login appended with old link
Hi, i have changed the URL used to login to Service Desk Plus. Changed the value under Self Service Portal Settings > Alias URL. However, when the link to login is now sent to users (variable = $ServerAliasURL) it appears to have the old URL appended with the new one. Please advise how i can fix this problem thanks, Jason
Issue when trying to resolve item
When we enter a resolution and change the status to resolved we are then presented with the attached error. Any ideas? This is an upgrade from 7.22 to 7.5 and only now do we have this. All techs have access to all groups/sites etc.

Custom Templates
Since upgrading to version 7500 i am unable to use the drag and drop facility, it drags but does not drop. I am unable to make any changes to previously created templates, again i am able to change aspects of the template but it does not save and no error massage is given. I have noticed too that any resolutions we had entered on templates before the upgrade has been removed and that function seems to have been removed, it would be great if this could be re introduced.

Upgrade to SD+ 7.5 Who Wishes They Hadn't Bothered?
Great product when it works. Try to update and sometimes it works; but when you spend more time fixing the servicedesk than using it; then it becomes furstrating. I'm looking at rolling back (we run VMWare) and risking losing call data and waiting for a GOOD SP1 fix. Show of hands?

I am trying to use SDP to keep track of all the assets for my company. But when i try to move a server out of the WORKSTATIONS group and into the server group i dont get the same detailed information about them. Is this something i am doing wrong?

ServiceDesk Upgrade Question
We are currently running the standard version of 7022. We have now purchased the Enterprise version of Service Desk. My question is: Am I better to install the license and upgrade the standard version to Enterprise, and then install version 7500? or am I better upgrading to version 7500 first and then using the license upgrade to the Enterprise version? Domain Scans thinking one computer is many computers
When I run a Domain scan, it reports that one machine changes multiple times. Here is a paste of the report (names have been changed to protect the innocent) history from one machine: We'll call the machine AUR001. Hi Every now and then in SDP 7.5 I seem to get the error message "Request doe not fall under your permitted scope.." when trying to update a request. Why is this? I am logged in as Administrator. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks Gordon
Date defaulted to January 1970!!
Hi, After upgrading to 7.5 all my Additional Asset details date fileds have defaulted to 1970. To go in and change all of these is going to take ages let alone remember the dates for the fields. Please advise Regards Neil
SDP 7.5 Templates
We are trying to customize templates for the technician view and want to remove the group filed. Clicking the properties only shows opens for the requester and clicking the x to remove the field does not do anything. Also, when we are customizing a template, the save does not seem to do anything and all the options for modifiying the requester template are greyed out.
Moving IT assets to another category
Hello, I want to have a seperate category in my IT assets view where I can put my servers, which are now under the category workstation. I created a new product type called "Server" which is listed in the IT assets view. However, I can't find a way to transfer the servers from the existing workstation view into the newly created server view. Is there any way to do this, or is there another way to split up devices that are listed in the IT assets category? Kind regards, Dennis
