filtering in reports: only IS and NOT IS are useable
Advanced Filtering in Reporting essentially won't let you utilize Contains, Not Contains, Start With, or End With.
When Choosing, the current column values found in the database are of course listed for selecting, but there is no way to key in a literal for comparison.
For example, in generating a Custom Report choosing Contracts, I desire to provide a filter where Contract Name begins with "SHP%" (transact-SQL LIKE notation). But all I may do is pick one or more full names of contracts.
I hope I am overlooking some obvious way to edit the filtering commands and that you will correct me and I will feel foolish.
Otherwise, please provide a means to key string literals so that Contains, Not Contains, Start With, and End With work as implied.
