Can Not Delete Device
When I try to delete any device in OPmanager on Red Hat Enterprise 4.0 it display message : Status message Your delete request is being processed.Please check after sometime. But the device not get deleted. What cab be the problem & how can I delete it?

Hello I figure this must be a known or common problem. Partition Detail Resource Monitor query
Hi, One of the Resource Monitors, Partition Details provides the %used of each disk partition on a server. This is very useful to use as we like to keep 20% free on all disks and get an alarm raised when this threshold is broken. However the monitor also includes the same info for physical and virtual memory and we often have less than 20% physical memory available. Is it possible to 'turn off' the information for these two so that we do not get unwanted alarms. regards, Doug
Alarms history and reporting
I would like to have the ability to run reports on all alarms received on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Currently I have the notification profiles to send an alert when a service is down, or a threshold is violated, etc. And another when the alert is cleared, but when I look at all the alarms, it just shows the last alerts received. For example: say I get an alert that CPU utilization is over 80 % at 10:15 am. At 10:30 am I get another one that CPU utilization is back to normal. When I look
Issue with notifications
Opmanager is not sending out notifications when an alert is triggered. I looked at the notifications log and I found why it isn't. "Could not connect to SMTP host: localhost" For some reason Opmanager is trying to use localhost to send out notifications even though it is configured to use our mail server as it's smtp host under Admin - Mail Server Settings. I went back and reconfigured the mail server setting but it is still trying to use localhost. Any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks
Servers not polling
I tried to search the forum for this issue but I couldn't find anything similiar to what I am experiencing. I have a few servers that I have added to monitor. They add properly and I can view them under the "maps" tab. But when I click on the server the dials do not appear and there is no polling data for the server. Debian Install a Nightmare
I have spent forever following the incorrect install manual for debian and trolling through your forums trying to get the damn trial working. So far i've ignored the suggestions to copy the libdb 3.2 file cause it's for redcrap not debian and i've linked the real debian libdb3 file in the /lib folder. Traffic Reports low in detail
My Rx/Tx traffic reports are not as detailed as they were before. On a report generated for today, detail is high, on 7 day Report there is a change in detail from about 4 days ago which detail was high but since detail has been very low. Monitoring levels are set at 1 minute. An example is given below.

OpManager MSP version question
My company has purchased MSP version and few probes. So far the product is great, however i did have questions about rebranding the client piece; 1) Is there a way I can totaly disable web/administration site on a client probe? That way i can have a customer just login directly to our main customer site and generate reports or other tasks. 2) Does the customer really has to download a 49MB file just to install a 5mb probe? 3) Can we rebrand the probe ? so it has our logos maybe our tech support numbers?

Self Test to insure OpManager is functioning correctly
Hello, I'm trying to gather a list of items (processes, services, logs, etc) that I can monitor and have a reasonable "self test". The point behind the self test would be to determine the health or running state of the critical parts of the monitoring engine. The important parts being the scheduler, data collection, rule engine and alert system. Hallo, I am using OpManager 6.0, Build 6002 with Hotfix 6 on a Server with MS Windows Server 2003 SP1. This server monitors 3 other servers, 8 print-servers and 1 switch. Every 5 minutes i am getting from the montoring-server the following alarm: Trouble Mai 01,2006 10:42:37 AM AuthenticationFailure : null When I delete all monitored objects it stops getting this error. Hi, I'd like to add different gauges and views to the main page of a device. For example, when clicking on a server, there are guages for CPU load, Memory load, etc. I'd also like to add Vender Specific monitors into the gauges, such as temperature, so that I can view easily without generating reports.

Why All the Items under the MAPS tab are gray
I am trying to fond out whay all of the items in this case just a few server are now showing all gray in color rather than green like they use too. I also notice that now when I select one it shows the status unknown and I have to manually select each monitor device and test it in order to get them to display meaning Memory, Disk usage, CPU Usage.

MSP Edition
Hi, I�m interested in Opmanager MSP Edition, to serve our customers better. But I want the ability to integrate with CustomerSupport, like the normal opmanager integrates with ServiceDesk. Is this under development? Also, It would be nice to have some more information about desktops from Opmanager MSP Edition. Not so much as from Servicedesk, but information about specification, OS, servicepack, BIOS info, RAM modules would be very nice. Also, if I have 10 customers with same internal IP subnet.

Data migration after update from OPManager ver. 6004 to 6010
Hi, I've tried to migrate my data after upgrading the OPManager from version 6004 to version 6010. Therefore, I've backuped the data with the Data Maintenace-Tool when version 6004 was installed and tried to restore the data with this tool after OPManager had been updated to version 6010. The restoring-routine completed successfully, but when I tried to restart the OPManager the startup-procedure failed after nearly 60% of the initialization of OPManager was completed. HP Raid monitoring
I am trying to add an SNMP Trap processor to monitor HP RAID controller events. I have downloaded the latest HP MIB and extracted it to the mibs folder on the OpManager probe. I manage to fix some issues when it complained that OpManager could not find a file, but now it loads and says there are no traps in the CPQ mib files. What do I need to load to get OpManager to process the traps received from the HP server?

Hi, A good feature in opmanager is to make a notification profile and apply this to many devices. But it would be nice to have a "monitoring profile" and apply this on several servers, with ready-to-go thresholds and all. Possible?
opmanager demoversion does not recognize win 2003 OS?
Hello, we installed the 30 day demoversion of opmanager. It only recognizes our older (win2k) servers but sees all 2003 machines as workstations. How can I fix this? This way the active directory monitoring does not work as well...

OpManager stops collecting history randomly
Twice now within the same ten day period, opmanager has just stopped collecting history, but remains otherwise available. So we have no idea that is has done this until I actually logon to do something and notice that no server is showing any WMI information. Sometimes this will be several days before I notice. We rely on this tool to do uptime reports for 500 servers. We cannot have three day holes like this. Last time this happened, it stayed up for 2.5 days and then stopped collecting data again.

I need to monitor different devices on very big display and if any of the diveces got and alarm or event (such as network disconnection) it get red on that display. Device Type not found on Discovery
I have been informed that my XP workstations need to have SNMP services running for OPmanager to asign an OS type to them. I dont belive it I am afraid Why? Because my service desk software can tell me all about my workstations via a network scan, right down to the model of the pc etc etc.. Why can't OP manager do this?? I really see no need for the Discovery to be dependant on SNMP for Device type Assignment. I am NOT about to enable or install SNMP on all my XP workstations.

Shortcuts - Mapmaker
Hi, Having created maps with links/shortcuts to other maps, I am getting a rather annoying problem. The links are changing colour and registering a map as having a problem (ie yellow or orange) when all devices are clear. It is just the shortcuts that are not green. I cannot seem to find a reason for this and recreating them does not always work. It happens after a divice has gone down, but when clear, the link doesnt go back to green. Create network map & import into Visio
We are trialing Opmanger and love the product so far. Was wondering if its possible to create network maps with Opmanager. It seems all the data is in there, especially with port mapping working. Is there a way in OpManager, or another tool we can get, that automatically creates nice network maps with the data from OpManager. Also would like to export this data into Visio.
