monitoring online

Hi, I�m new with this software and I'm evaluating it to buy the Proffesional Edition.

I need an online display that show the events and I wasnt able to do that by the moment.
I need to monitor different devices on very big display and if any of the diveces got and alarm or event (such as network disconnection) it get red on that display.
What I already done is to configure one server, and connect and disconnect it to the LAN. It refresh it state only when I click on servers under maps.
I'm sure that this software is capable to do what I want, but how is the question.
Can anybody tell me how to do that?
