Alarms history and reporting
I would like to have the ability to run reports on all alarms received on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Currently I have the notification profiles to send an alert when a service is down, or a threshold is violated, etc. And another when the alert is cleared, but when I look at all the alarms, it just shows the last alerts received.
For example: say I get an alert that CPU utilization is over 80 % at 10:15 am.
At 10:30 am I get another one that CPU utilization is back to normal. When I look at all alarms, I only see the one at 10:30.
Is there a way to keep the history of all alerts, when they where triggered and when they where cleared ?.
On the same subject of alerts, I get alerts when a probe is down, but not when it comes back up. Also, if the probe looses connectivity to the network that it is monitoring, it sends an alert that all monitoring is suspended, but when connectivity is restored it does not send a message that communication is restored.
Can that be changed ?.
