Device Type not found on Discovery
I have been informed that my XP workstations need to have SNMP services running for OPmanager to asign an OS type to them.
I dont belive it I am afraid
Why?
Because my service desk software can tell me all about my workstations via a network scan, right down to the model of the pc etc etc..
Why can't OP manager do this??
I really see no need for the Discovery to be dependant on SNMP for Device type Assignment.
I am NOT about to enable or install SNMP on all my XP workstations.
