Binding Opmanager to one IP
I have a new multi-homed server running IIS, Kerio Mailserver and hopefully OpManager, I have 3 Public ips, with IIS bound to one, Kerio to another, but I cant fet OpManager to bind to one ip address. I have tried changing apache's config to "Listen x.x.x.x:80" but i get HTTP 400 errors. Ideas?
Binding Opmanager to one IP
I am installing a new server that will be running multiple web services on multiple ip addresses, IIS will be on one ip, Opmanager another, and our web interface for mail on another. Can you add a device that is not reachable via ping or SNMP?
Hi all, I am trying to monitor systems that we have installed at customer locations. These systems are reachable only via SSH. I see that OpManager cang et CPU, memory, disk etc via SSH. However when I try and add a new deivce to be monitored it says the device cannot be added. Thei support says that because it is not reachable via ICMP ping or SNMP you cannot add the device. Any other ideas? I have been able to add devices by using an internal IP that can be pinged then changing hte IP afterwards
Display Name from Switch?
I have many Cisco 3548 switches that I am adding to OPManager and they monitor just fine. My question is, when the are discovered the display name and the Description of the port are the same, even though I have custom descriptions on the switch itself. ie: both are Fastethernet0/1 What I would like is for OPManager to pull the description from the switches (ie: MyMailServer) and use that as the Display Name. Is there a way to accomplish this so that it will do it on a consistent basis (ie: if I
Unable to clear / delete event
I have set up application events to display in OpManager.Everything is displaying fine but I am unable to clear or delete an event. I have cleared all other events that have come in. The event is COM+ related and is passed in the URL when I attempt to clear but nothing happens the page loads blank and the event does not clear / delete. here is the string being passed : http://localhost/fault/AlarmActions.do?methodCall=alarmProperties&operation=Clear&entity=ersfilenetweb01_COM+ any ideas ? Hi all, I'm testing OpManager and it seems to be a satisfying product. But in the availability reports section most of our customers want to see en explanation near the outage specifying whether the outage is provider or not provider responsible. MSP OPManager Probe Bandwith usage
I tried using the search but couldn't find the answer to the one and only question I have (at the moment that is): Is the probe on a remote site permanently in connection with the central server, or is there a general polling interval, and if it's connected what is the approx. bandwith usage for the sent data?
Logging stopped over weekend
We are running OpManager and trying to figure out a problem. still unable to monitor pix 515 interfaces
I demo'd this software a year ago and stopped using it because I was unable to get it to consistently monitor my pix interfaces. My company decided to go with AppManager so I grudgingly decided to give this software another try. I added my network devices and once again, unable to monitor pix interfaces. Unable to Maintain Remote Web Client Session
I can log into the OpManager Web Client locally and experience no browsing problems. However when I log in remotely, Web Client displays the Overview page as expected and as soon as I click any links, I am bumped back to the login page. I have tried this from different remote machines and experience the same problem. Any ideas?

MIB parsing
Hi all, I added new MIBS in OpManager. I constated that I need to load them at least once because in the other case I do not have MIB parsing when I check trap alarms. Error adding a new Windows service when password has a space
When i use the link "Add new service" from the "Windows service monitors" i get a screen that asks me for a device and login credentials. i enter the login credentials, and the admin password just happens to have a space embedded .... this results in a "wrong # of parameters" error If i use another account with a password with only letters it all works find
about monitoring interfaces of PIX 515
I added the PIX 515 to the OP monitor and then want to monitor the interfaces statistics of it. However, after I added the monitor for interfaces, I click the link of the statistcs but it has no respond. I can monitor interfaces for other cisco devices such as 3560, 2950. Do anyone experience this problem too?

Can you confirm is the MSP version can integrate with ServiceCenter? I've seen comments that it can with ServiceDesk but as MSP is aimed to deal with multiple clients I'd have thought integration with ServiceCenter was essential. Thanx
Strange SNMP request behavior on OpManager
Hi all, Sometimes I do not have SNMP answer when I test system monitors such "CPU Usage", "Memory Usage". And WMI monitors does not work in most of time. On my computer I created a special account with Administrator right. When I add "Free disk space .. WMI" with no username/password defined, OpManager ask me for Windows authentication, I define username/password and OpManager valid them but when I test WMI monitor, it fails with the message : The Monitor did not respond to the test request Possible

Hi All, I'm trying to configure custom monitors for an EMS ax100 storage device. When I look in the web based management page for the AX100 I can see that it uses a MIB called fibre alliance. I downloaded that mib and I tried to use the stand alone mibbrowser to see if I could read some data from the device. Service Alert Issue
I recently installed and configured OpManager to monitor a few specific services on a remote server. I am able to monitor the services but when I try to associate a email alert to these services, they do not show up in the check boxes of selectable services. I am curious how I would go about adding a alert to a specific service that does not show up through the normal process. Manage HP Storageworks SAN Switch in Opmanager
Anyone try to manage an HP StorageWorks SAN Switch in OpManager? I have defined the object type and categorized it as a switch. But when I look at the ports, it does not recognize them and complains that the Bridge mib has not been implemented on the device. OK that makes sense because it is not a network switch. I have problem with setting up email notification profile - I have set email to be sent as "plain text" in notification profile, but notification emails are still sent as mime multipart.
