Feature Request: Reformatted URL Monitor Notifications
I think this has been requested before, but I'd like to bring it up again. The format of notification emails for URL monitors leaves a little to be desired, especially for us because we send URL notifications to our cell phones via text message. What happens is that the subject of the message is so long that the text message gets cut off before the actual URL that is down is visible. Here's an example:
503: Service Unavailable .The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. : <URL> <URL Name> URL Service Down
I removed the URL and URL name in the example, but you can see that because the actual error message is sent first, and the error is so long, it would get cut off in a text message due to the length restriction of SMS. This makes the notification useless without logging into OpManager to see which URL was being referenced.
What would be ideal is if the subject were formatted something like this:
<URL Name> : <Error Message>
Thanks for considering this kind of change.
