Delete alert for person no longer here
One of our employees had created an alert when certain software is installed. He has since left, and we recently disabled his email and now his reports are bouncing back to the helpdesk email account. I've looked though and been unable to find the report to delete it or direct it to a generic email address. I have a similar issue with ServiceDesk Plus, but will open another question in that forum as well. Any help is appreciated.
Best way to upgrade to Desktop Central MSP?

Not accepting AD domain
I'm trying to set this up for an evaluation but the it doesn't seem to accept my domain. I've entered the full name of the domain and it asks me to use the short name. It even tells me the short name to use but when i put that short name in it says it is an invalid domain name. I cant find anything in the help to get this sorted. Any ideas? -Mahoney

Lost inventory details after Updating to 10.0.73
We recently updated Desktop Central to the latest version 10.0.73. After the update, the inventory details of the computers has been lost / incomplete. I am not sure what caused this. The computers which were not scanned, are still having all the details. Please see the attached screenshot. Has anyone experienced similar issue?

I just updated to 10.0.73... however my login page now says there is an update for 10.0.83 What is going on? When I click on the download link it takes me to the 10.0.73 hotfix.

I did evaluation of DC-MSP and I like what I see so far but I have question regards pricing. Since free version comes with ability to manage 25 nodes what happens with those freebies once I decide to buy 100 desktop license? I loose them and get 75 for the price of 100 or I end up with 100 + 25 = 125 ??
SOM Policy: Unable to exclude computer from being added to ManageEngine
Everyday computers are added to manage engine even though they have been excluded in SOM. Under SOM Policy I have Detect and Add New Computer unchecked. Even though computers have been added to the exclude list they are still added the next morning when they boot up. I have even gone as far as removing these computers form the 'Computer' container in AD to avoid them being detected. How can I prevent computers from being added to ManageEngine?

DC Mobile App Issue
Hello, I am trying to sync my desktop central server to my work phone provided by my company. When I open the app it asks for the server name and the port number, as expected. When I go to the admin tab all the information that its asking for is listed right there however when I go to enter it all into the app I cannot connect to the server. dcinventory.exe error
Has anyone seen an issue during installation of the DesktopCentral Agent where dcinventory.exe fails? DesktopCentral could no longer perform an inventory scan on one of my computers, (failed with status "Asset Scanning is Locked"). So, I uninstalled the Agent on the computer and pushed the agent back to the computer from the DesktopCentral console. Search box not working for computer names
Hi, It appears after updating to the latest build 10.0.82 that the search box in the top corner isnt working for machine names. If I try and search for a computer name it doesn't present anything. If I search for an ip address it presents a list of computers by IPs! Can this be investigated please? Eddy
Configuration to delete folders leftover from Windows Updates
I'm trying to reclaim disk space used by Windows. I know how to create a configuration to delete files within folders if the folder name is static. With Windows Updates, the .msu file creates folders with random-looking names that hang around afterwards. - examples: c:\0a423668f8ff7dde393873, c:\1bfd9a1fd85b1ae9fafd121a c:\078b3033bc67f41db8e6b0dc9bb08a74 Assuming it is safe to delete the folders, is there a way to filter for them and have them included in a folder cleanup config
DC server won't start after upgrade
Just upgraded DC server from 10.0.0.70 to 10.0.0.83 and now the service process won't start. The logs seem to indicate some sort of failure during the upgrade process. It is not possible to uninstall the patch thru the update.bat utility.

Is there a way to see when a piece of software was uninstalled from a computer?
A piece of software went "missing" from a user's computer and I am trying to figure out when it happened. The History tab on the "Computer Detail" Inventory screen only shows one day of history. Is there a way to see more days of history? Or, is there somewhere else I can look?
Current DesktopCentral package
When I went to install on my desktop this morning - the package completed successfully - but there was no evidence of Spotify anywhere on the desktop. No icons. 10.0.82 SOM installed status shown in red
I had an issue with an agent upgrading to 10.0.82 the update failed on the client I could not re push the agent. I had to completely delete the manage engine folder then manually download the agent and run the setup.bat file to be able to install the agent again. After this everything was working fine except that in the SOM where it says installed successfully is listed in red not black. see attached screen shot.
Symantec Endpoint Protection - warnings and exceptions
Desktop central flagged a warning saying check the SEP exceptions have been added, so I checked the exceptions and added every desktop central folder and .exe/.dll as per the knowledge base document. The agent troubleshooter still shows a warning against AV and links back to the exceptions knowledge base. I have double checked the exceptions all folders and .exe excluded from scans and realtime protection, but still get warnings about AV. So firstly does the troubleshooter just show the warning

Update 10.0.82 quark
I recently upgraded Desktop Central from 10.0.56 to 10.0.82 and noticed that in Google Chrome, the computer details under the inventory does not display. I have tired other browsers and the information is displayed correctly. Has anyone else run into this issue? I have no issue using a different web browser, but find it odd that IE and Firefox display the content correctly. Thanks, Jason

I am currently in the process of cleaning up my companies inventory in DC. I have roughly 73 machines that the "Agent Live Status" is reading as "down", or "Unknown" However, a lot of these machines have a last contact time of that day or some other time for any given week. Post Upgrade to 10.0.70
We recently upgraded our DC Server build to 10.0.70. Everything appeared to go well, except I noticed (via our Netflow monitor) that our domain controllers started sending data to computers with the DC agent installed in increments of 73 MB throughout the day. Created By field is incorrect
While submitting a ticket using the Desktop Central icon in the system tray, almost all of the tickets are stating they were created by one specific person. When I do into ServiceDesk and open the ticket, I look in the Request Details section, the created by field is always the same person even though they didn't create the ticket. Create Support File - Cannot add Client-Logfiles
I need to report a problem with several clients so i wanted to use the option "Create Support File" to directly upload my server and client logfiles. However, if I choose clients, the selection windows opens and will only show "Local Office", I cannot select my domain because it doesn't show up! What can I do? I am running on Version 10.0.54.
