OS Deployer Drive mismatch
When I attempt to deploy a image across a couple of models within the same manufacturer (Dell) I get that the image is to large. "Image Deployment Failed: Deployment failed since the target disk size is lesser than source disk size or the disk is incompatible. Shrink partitions, create image again and retry deployment."
Can we move the install files from C:\Windows\Temp?
We have a bunch of machines that are failing to upgrade the DC client, uninstall or allow us to run a repair from Programs & Features due to the installers being located in the above directory. Most of our end users do not have access to this location.

Why is DC so poorly coded to deal with its own shutdown? I have DC installed on a single Windows Server 2019 machine, which runs alongside some other server services e.g. a small mail server. On a standard installation of everything including DC, if I simply shut down the server normally on the machine restarting DC is left having to recover it's Postgre databases because they were not shut down cleanly. Distribution Server - replication cycle finished with some failures
Hello, We have installed the 10.0.479 version of Desktop Central and this week we will update to 10.0.484. The issue is that we have "some failures" at the DS replication remarks. We have 8 Remote Offices, where 3 of them are good and we have at the "Remarks" field, the following message "Replication cycle finished successfully", but for the other 6 of them, we have another message "Replication cycle finished with some failures". Exclude usb device
Hi, We have set up policy to disable the USB devices on all of 500 PCs and it is working. Now we would like to exclude a usb drive for a user. We know that we can add the usb id to exclude tab of our current policy but this would mean that we have to run the policy again for all of the 500 PC's and each time we want to add more usb ID's we have to re-run the policy. is there other way to do this witout the need of running the policy again? OS Deployment Disk size issues
Hello, I used OS Deployer in my past position, and it worked great for imaging machines, etc. When I first started using the tool, it had issues with drive size mismatching. which, almost made me stop vetting it and going to find another tool - Luckily, engineering introduced auto shrink, and I was able to image systems with smaller drives. Here I am 3 or 4 years later, and again, using the OS Deployer tool within Desktop Central.....again, I am hitting a wall with regards to imaging smaller drives.
Desktop Central/OS Deployment stops 1/2 way through imaging
I'm currently having a weird issue where I can PXE boot into the system with no issues. I can login and select the image I want to use (we currently have 3) and the install begins. But on all of them at around or just over the 1/2 mark the PC reboots. Once it is done the windows image is corrupted and it goes into an endless repair loop. The only thing that has changed that I am aware of is going from SP version 517 to 556, prior to that it was working with no issues.

I understand that Java environment included in 10.0.515 is 1.8.0.192 x64, but what I can see that Java engine uses up to 2,5GB of RAM and can't go futher. Hello ! In older versions (eg 10.0.479), in the "Scope of Management -> computers" tab, computers were listed with small vertical spaces. In the new version (e.g. 10.0.555 and 10.0.581) these gaps got terribly long. Therefore, you cannot see all computers at once and you have to scroll the screen. Question. Is it possible to set smaller vertical spacing between computers? I'm sending two pictures, the old one and the new one, where the big gaps are clearly visible. Can it be reduced? Shrink? Thank
Dynamic groups based on AD container
We group our servers and workstations in Active Directory according to function, eg Servers Mail Servers Citrix Servers Workstaions IT Workstations Finance Workstations Laptops etc. It would be very useful to make dynamic groups from these OUs, when adding a server or workstation then the dynamic group would automatically pick it up for the correct deployments.
Custom Group Add List
I have no idea why this feature went away. But please dear little baby Jesus...bring it back. Being able to paste in a list of computers to create a custom group was great. It was fast. Easy. It's how I did most of my groups that span more than one OU in AD.

Unable to list the computers
Team, I'm not sure if this is for me only, but I find one problem in the new Create Group page. If I select 6 or more Domains/Workgroups in the Domain field; while creating a static group; I can see no computers listed in List tab of Available Computers. As I add the Domains/Workgroups, the list is populating until I click the 6th one. I tried in all possible combinations from the list of Domains/Workgroups and its the same -- as I add the 6th Domain/Workgroup, the List tab shows no computers. I
Remove computer from Desktop Central WITHOUT removing agent
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to remove computer records from Desktop Central without it automatically uninstalling the agent when it next communicates? Basically, I want to remove all machines that haven't contacted the server in 60 days but for them to auto-repopulate if they do check in again. Withouth having the agent removed and then re-installed Is this possible?
