Feature request: Mac encryption reboot behaviour

Feature request: Mac encryption reboot behaviour

Hi,

I have a problem patching macOS systems that are encrypted using FileVault 2 -- when the system reboots, it requires the user to be present to enter the password for filevault to unlock the disk.

This means that automatic patching of encrypted macs is not possible, as they do not automatically start up again afterwards.

However, it looks like it is possible to use an encryption bypass option when initiatting the reboot:

Would it be possible for Desktop Central to integrate this into the mac patch process? If desktop central could use this feature when initiating a reboot of a mac, it means the system would then restart normally.

This would be extremley useful for us as at the moment we have to not encrypt our desktop macs, which is causing a major violation to our information security policy.

Many thanks!
