Automated Deployment For TeamViewer 9
I am wanting to deploy TeamViewer 9 to all of our users but unsure of the switches/options to use in the software configuration. We have paid licensing for TeamViewer and not using the free version. I found some instructions online (see attached file) on how to deploy via a domain group policy but prefer to do so with Desktop Central. The group policy method deploys the setup file and a .reg file that has the settings (account info, options, etc..) in it. Not sure how to deploy both of these to our
Software Install configuration option save as draft deletes all packages except the one on the top
Hi, I'm going crazy! We updated to Desktop Central 80332 just before the end of last year. The normal issues we experience are client agents not upgrading and execution of MSI and EXE's fail. Both MSI, EXE's and client agents were tested but just this week after deploying an Installation configuration and saving it as a draft all of the packages within the configuration were deleted bar the first one in the list. This issue is happening in two sites we currently have Desktop Central 80332 installed.

Pull event logs with Inventory
Are we missing it or is there not the ability to review event logs for managed machines in DeskTop Central? We currently have LanSweeper also as were planning to replace it with DC. LanSweeper pulls the event logs with the inventory scan which allows technicians to review the latest logs prior to even connecting or contacting the requester. This many time allows for a hypothesis to be well formed at the time of first contact. If this does not exist, sounds like a feature request.
I've never used DC to patch my servers....
I have a wide range of servers 2003, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 hyper v hosts, etc... some physical, some hyper V, etc... I've never used DC to patch my servers, have always run it without issue on my workstations but have been leery of patching my servers. Curious to hear from users who are patching their servers and if there is anything I should be aware of in terms of do's don'ts types of boxes I shouldn't use DC to patch, etc...

Change display settings just for remote sessions
Is there a way to change the display settings in Desktop Central on the workstations I remotely manage, without affecting the users display settings. Some users have changed their display settings to allow for larger fonts. This causes an issue when I remote in, the bottom of the screen is cut off and I am unable to click on anything correctly. Categories on Tickets
Good morning, I would like to ask you something related to a doubt that I have. I have the site XXX for a particular client, and I would need to create two categories: PPP and MMMM. I would need that certain users could see the tickets associated to PPP but couldn’t see the ones associated to MMMM; other users would need to see the tickets of MMMM but not PPP. How to set targets in Permissions Manager within Desktop Central?
I've created a permission to grant Domain Users to have full access when running an executable and to the related registry keys. I've tried to set the target to Domain User and to two OUs containing Windows 7 computers, but the Execution Status still shows "No targets available". Status shows Ready to Execute. Hi, I would like to disable user configuration to apply to certain computers (when users logon on a different one). Our situation: We got a group of laptop users who needs local software, but when this users logs on a desktop at the office I don't want that software to be installed on that desktop. Crashplan Pro.e Remote Full Install for Active Directory
I'm trying to figure out a way to remote install Crashplan Pro E using the desktop central software deployment feature. We currently run an Active Directory which Crashplan already ties into and reads. Currently if you deploy Crashplan remotely, the user computer pops a notification that requires you to sign in using the users AD credentials which has to be done by hand. Some Lenovo models fail when looking up warranty details
I get the error "Warranty Details cannot be fetched because the given details are wrong" when looking up Model 7269D2U, SN MJ20509. Applying Configurations for Secure USB....bizarre behavior

Permission Management Not working
Hi, I am trying to set permission on drives. It is working fine in all drives except where OS is installed. In configuration it is showing completed successfully, but if I go to the computer and check the security permission, it is not appearing there. Secure USB and RoadWarriors
Hi all. I am testing DesktopCentral and i need some info about secure usb. Is there any way to enable USB Devices when a user is not at my company network? (users that have laptop for both personal/company use lets say) I tried with a script that checks if the domain controllers respond to ping, and if they don't, it stops the DesktopCentral service, but it didn't work probably because the agent makes registry changes. Deploying user configuration instead of computer configuration is not an option.

Have a Computer Configurations option to move the computer to a different Active Directory OU
You have a good list of Computer configuration actions but one that is missing that we would use is the action of moving the computer to a difference AD Organisational Unit. When we add a new computer to our Domain it is added into a "Build" OU and we have Desktop Central set to auto install the agent to computers in this OU and we have a configuration targeting this OU which installs a few bits of software. We have recently migrated the ME-DC Server to a new computer, we verified the old http:\\oldserver:8383 its diverting to the http:\\newserver8383 however when we tried to scan the agents its showing Agent not reachable. Has anyone else experienced a crash (PSOD) of an ESXi 5.1 host when installing the Desktop Central agent onto a virtual machine? I have had this happen twice. MSI software deployment have the option to browse and associate an MST file
I know you can specify an msi transforms file (mst file) using the "MSIEXEC/EXE/ISS/Command" option within Software Deployment but to me it would seem a slicker solution if when you have the package type set as MSI you had the optional option to browse and associate a MST file. We use mst file with for most of our msi installers to customise the setup so at the moment we don't really set the package type to MSI that much instead we currently use the MSIEXEC/EXE/ISS/Command package type and specify
