Issue with remote control
We're testing out SDP's remote control agent and so far haven't had much luck. When we attempt to start remote control, we're getting "FAILURE :Failed to copy files to the remote workstation. " We have the Windows 7 firewall disabled in domain mode, and the user configured is a member of the local administrator group on the test PC. The asset scan works without issue. Problems deploying agent to Windows 7 machines
We are running Service Desk Pro version 8.0.0 build 8000. improper behavior for approval actions
Hi I have noticed when you resend an approval ( selecting only one from many) on the request tab the sent on column is updated on all the approval requests regardless of whther or not acvtion has been taken. This results in approvals being shown as approved before the request went out. Obviously when you choose to send out a "second request" to an approver that has not responded yet the sent on value should not be updated for all approvers. if you look at image below you will see the act on date

Can't logon after demoting old domaincontrollers
I have demoted our old domaincontrollers and after that we can no longer logon to Servicedesk. It is set up with SSO for all accounts including technicians. I have tried the suggestions in https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/cannot-login-to-service-desk-plus but the database (MSSQL) does not contain at table named aaaauthorizedrole and the query therefore fails.
Failure : Problem while fetching network list from system
Hi everybody We have just upgrade our ManageEngine ServiceDesk from 8211 to 8213 ( in two steps, first in 8212 and then in 8213 ). Now that the upgrade is done, I have an error message when I go to Admin\Discovery\Network Scan : I have the same message when I go to the CMDB, choose a printer, and try to use the button "scan now" (same problem when I try to scan a single computer). Tasks from Work Orders in a controlled Group
I have segregated work queues in my SDP 8.2.12 installation, meaning that Techniciand cannot see work order in Groups where they do not have rights. My problem occurs when a Technician needs to assign a Task to another Group. Work order is in Group A The Task is assigned to a technician in Group B, with no rights to Group A, field "Group" on the Task is set to one where the tasked technician has rights. Dashboard days are off by one starting just this week
I've attached an image to show what has happened this week. Our ticket system has been running fine for the entire year and we didn't change anything before this Sunday either. Yesterday's tickets (Monday) are showing up as Sunday on the Dashboard report now. The tickets themselves all showed November 4th and when you click Edit they all show that the 4th is a Monday on the 2013 calendar. Ctrl-V causes IE DEP to close ServiceDesk
Since we patched to 8126, the following occurs for many technicians in Internet Explorer only: When adding or editing a resolution, if the technician does a ctrl-v to paste info, the attached screenshot occurs. If the technician uses a right-click and paste, it works fine. Only ctrl-v causes the error. I cannot duplicate this issue in Chrome or Firefox. Only Internet Explorer. E-Mail Command - add resolution and close
Using one email, is it possible to update a request with a resolution and close the request? A resolution is mandatory for us in order to close the request, and I'd like to accomplish this with just one email. I only have it working by sending two separate emails, one operation to EditRequest, and another to CloseRequest.
Servicedesk 8213 version error fetching mails and merging requests
Dear all, Since i updated SD to latest version the mail fetching is not working. It works for a while and it stops suddently. It happens each time an e-mail containing the requuest ID in the subject enters the mailbox. Also when i try to merge two or more requests i get an error: "FAILURE :Problem while trying to merge this threaded request with the selected request." Network Backup Errors
Need some help. I would like to get backups scheduled to run to a network location. Thus far these have failed. I keep getting the same error email. Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk PLUS. I do have a current support request but I haven't heard anything since yesterday, I figured I may get some assistance from here while I wait. I would like to get this back to working condition as soon as possible. Servicedesk (DNS NAME)= Crest-NOC (Server Name) = 180.200.100.30 ServiceDesk PLUS is running on port 80. OpManager is running on port 8060. This was working until recently, no changes made. I am running the latest version of both applications.

Hi, We are having a problem that the e-mail signature and cursor always appearing before content. As personal signature is always appearing before the email content, I am now using the $Technician at the bottom of the email. However, the cursor is showing before "Hello $Requester Name" and we need to manually move it to start typing anything. And also, there are blank spaces before "Hello $Requester Name" which makes the format uncomfortable to read, and we need to manually delete them either...

SDP - No method for cleaning up archived work orders?
I have a running installation of SDP (8.2.12, Windows server 2003, MS SQL server 2008) where we have been archiving work orders. My installation has become unwieldy due to the number of archived work orders, inline images, and attachments. Replying to a Request will not allow image insert
Using SD Plus ver 8.1 build 8106 under Notification Rules > Replying to a Request > Customize template we are trying to create a signature with a Company logo at the bottom of a standard reply (global use). Text, hyperlinks, values all work, but we cannot add a small JPG or GIF in Rich Text HTML format. Adding additional fields to Service Caterlog
Hi. I have created an additional field called Brand. This is to capture differing information per person that is not held in AD. I have created as a pick list multiple options. Have set as mandatory for the requester. When they log a request and it has been resolved i cannot close the request as it says the field cannot be left empty. This is not the case and the field has been chosen. Can some one advise how this can be overcome?? Thanks

I have recently installed SDP 8.1 build 8119 on a Windows 2008 server. The server is associated with a domain and can communicate with the domain controller. I have successfully imported the users from AD and have enabled Active Directory Authentication. Double up email all email recipients
Hi, I've got a strange issue with some tickets. E.g. attached screen shot. When I click reply, the recipients emails get doubled up. The ticket is not merged or anything similar. I checked the original email in the inbox (copy kept) and they are all in there as single, so no double typos ether. Latest version 8213 is installed on Linux and I just restarted as well. Reporting To field clearing after AD import
Hello, We are seeing an issue where we had to manually add each user's manager to the "Reporting To" field as there doesn't seem to be a way to import this. The issue is that when AD auto updates the field gets cleared. Is there any way to auto populate this field or prevent it from getting cleared when the AD updates?

Hello, When we receive emails into our helpdesk system, it looks like it strips all styling that was on the original email. This is especially noticable when someone submits an infopath form that has check boxes, radio button, and a people picker field. The buttons become symbols, as do the check boxes.
