NetScreen 25 and 5 no interface data being displayed.
We are monitoring the NetScreen 25 and 5 and we are not receiving any data from the interfaces. Please help?

This error message is coming up in Event Viewer after a "There were 1 failed launches in a row, each lasting less than 300 seconds. Giving up." event message. Any ideas on where to look?
Looping Emails
Just replied to an job request and added helpdesk email address into the CC Field. THis caused an email loop to occur as I also had enabled the option top email the requester on receipt of a new job. and because we cannot reply to a current job with out creating a new job request the loop continued. I have had to turn off the return request option to stop the loop Can the being able to reply to requests by the requester without creating a new job be fixed ASAP. Thanks Andrew Loughnan :twisted:
Installation Problem Under Linux (Centos)
Hi everyone: I payed for a webhosting under Linux Centos, but I only have access to my space through ssh and http, therefore I cannot see the java screen. (I see through console the message saying "Initializing InstallShield", and Starting Java Virtual Machine, but that only leads to a prompt, and the Installation stops. EventLog Analyzer Starts but Only Monitors Local Host
Good morning, EventLog Analyzer, running on Windows 2003 Web Ed, is able to pull information from local machine and successfully receive syslog messages from a UNIX host. However, a second Windows host cannot be monitored even though authentication is verified. Is this as a result of the machine not being on that domain? I do not imagine that being on the same domain is a requirement, is it? Any other ideas? Chris

I _LOVE_ your software, and what i love most is its speed of performance. I am on the cusp of buying but want to know that you are not planning on going to Java or .NET any time soon, both these technologies complicate, and slow down the interface a lot and I would hate to see such a good product killed ..

When scanning our Windows AD network keep getting duplicate workstations returned, these then show the same IP, Serial Number, etc attached to the same domain? This does not happen on all stations, approx 5% are showing these duplicates? Thanks for any help

I would like monitor only some interfaces at a router (Cisco). I have this interfaces not select in the Option "Configure Interfaces" (no manage, no notify). But i see them again in the device snapshot. For switches works this way fine. What can i do that i not see this long (full) list of interfaces for the router?

TCP_Apps missing port list for IP Groups
Hello, I recently created an IP group for a specific host address. I noticed that under "Top Applications IN/OUT Report", TCP_Apps does not contain a feature to allow you to determine the specific TCP ports that were used in this category. Was the ommission of this feature intentional? Thanks

Seed device discovery from hosts file.
I am in the process of installing a demo version of OpManager 5.5. I currently monitor my network and servers with a couple of other commercial applications. I am not too keen on performing network discovery to monitor all the devices. Is there a way to input devices into Opmanager via a text file import or hosts file or csv file? I have a lot of hosts that need to be monitored, but there are 10 times that many that need to be excluded, so it would be a huge chore to input each device one at a time.
Server check done by PING, can this be switched off?
I have some devices that I need to monitor that are not accesible via PING, it appears that these servers are always shown as having a problem? Is it possible to have an option to say that if PING is not available but SNMP or some other check is that OpManager relies on this check to confirm if the devices is up and not the PING check?
Ability to check WWW sites through multiple proxy servers
I run multiple proxy servers and it would be useful for me to have a "use proxy" setting for each server that I add in as currently with only the global proxy setting I can check only 1 proxy server at a time. Are there any plans to change this?

Is it possible to set threshold values on multiple servers?
Is there a way to set and configure resource thresholds accross several machines simultaneously? I know I can add a monitor, and I can add a notification using configuration wizard, but I can't seem to find a way to configure thresholds using it. Am I just missing something? Thanks, Caerie

Guys I'm sure I've seen detail on here before on how to run NA as a service on a Windoes 2003 server - but cannot seem to find that information anymore. If it is indeed possible, could someone please post instructions or a link to instructions. Many thanks Stuart
Cannot view ServiceDesk
Running RHE 3. Installed ServiceDesk via console on same server running Opmanager. Installation went fine. Started ServiceDesk just fine and it says to goto http://localhost:8080. Well of course i replaced localhost with the IP address of server and I get page cannot be found. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

We are currently reviewing Managed Engine Service Desk. So far we have liked what we have seen. I do have a question about the Request ID's. We would like to able to track how many calls we do in a year. Is there a way to reset Request ID at the end of the year or put a identifier for the year in front of the ID number?
No Device Added
Hi, I've installed FirewallAnalyzer on Linux with NetflowAnalyzer on same server. Tcpdump shows packets from cisco pix, but still I have no logs in the Fw Analyzer and packet count shows no packets... syslog config appears to be correct and shows up status.... no idea what else to try...please help..
Log Import & Reports
I have a PIX firewall which logs to a unix syslog - at this stage I can't change the logging to FA as this is a remote site. I have successfully imported the log files into FA - this can be seen by viewing the Import Log files screen - I see the log filename and approx 500 000 records. The problem I have is there are no reports for the days that I have imported, how do I get FA to generate reports for these days?
Cisco PIX 6.3(4) help.
We have a Cisco PIX 506, v. 6.3.(4). The syslog is being sent to the server with Firwall Analyzer on UDP port 1025. We are not using the Cisco Emblem format for logs. Right now we have informational level set for syslogs from the PIX This has been up and running now for 2 days. Today it seems no logs are being analyzed. Yesterday everything seemed fine. This afternoon I noticed that all reports now say "No Data Available". In terms of setting up, we just had the PIX send the syslog to the ip address
Problem starting Eventlog Analyzer
Hello: We have installed EventLog Analyzer for testing. Initially it installed okay and was working well, we really liked the product in our initial testing. However after couple of days, web client didnt respond and browser came back with page not found errors. Then, I tried after stopping service and restarting it, but that didnt work either. I then tried starting from the bat script for starting the server and it reported, as below, in the command window: Unable to start MySQL server on port 33335.

Right now if you look at any graphical report in the system with a table attached (such as the Top Protocol Groups - Received report on the Protocol Usage reports screen), you can drill down into the data by click on the bar on the graph, but not by clicking on the line items in the table immediately below the graph. From a usability standpoint, you should be able to click on either. You should also be able to click on entries in the "view all" table to drill down into them just as you can by clicking
Traffic between groups
Hi, In your reports one can see the traffic in/out for the resp. groups. Is it possible to see the traffic between 2 groups in 1 report ? Then you can establish traffic patterns and do baselining... Regards, Johan
