MSSQL Database Monitor
Hello everybody, I have a problem. I installed OpManager v8.0 (build 8051), in Database monitor panel, if I choose the MSSQL named instances = default (SQL Server 2000 with SP4), it just show the name of database, the Active Transactions = N/A; Database size = N/A; ... . But if I choose the MSSQL names instances = SQL2K5 (SQL Server 2005), it show the name of database + the active transaction + database size. (see detail in attach file) Anybody help me?? Solution attachment not attaching and showing as 0 KB
I am currently using SupportCenter plus ver.: 7.7.0 Build: 7506 Whenever I attempt to attach a pdf to one of my solutions it shows it attaches but the size is shown as 0 KB and it will not open the file. I was wondering if this is a bug or if there is a size limit to the attachments? The size of the file 7.0 MB. Thanks for your help. Nic

How can I hide certain support Reps from the Customer Portal?
Hi We have a few support Reps for admin purposes only. I only whish two of our Support Reps to be shown to our customers in the Support Portal. Is this possible, if so how can I do this? Looking at the settings I couldn't see a way to do it. Thank you, Gian
requester allowed to view department requests reverting back to only able to see their own
Several requesters are configured to: Requester allowed to view Show only their own requests. Show all their Department requests. Show all their Site requests. However these are reverting back to show only their own requests on a regular basis. What could be causing this?

White Screeen when opening brower/Domain controller...
I have an issue with Servicedesk 7514, I know what the problem is I just need to know how to fix it.... Basically the domain controller that our ServiceDesk install uses to auth into AD is no longer a DC as it was having a lot of problems so I removed it, that has caused other problems with other services which have all been fixed, except for SD. So my question is, where in the SD install/dbase is the declaration for the domain controller so I can change it in the backend and get it running again....
Recover a deleted request
Is it possible to recover a deleted request? Or, is there some kind of ME event log that tracks what happens to requests and who done it?
Device placed outside of map and can't move it...
I added a bunch of new devices to a Business View map and a couple of the devices are off the map on the right side. I can see part of the device name but can't drag the devices. Is there any way to fix this or do I just need to create a new map?

Login times Report
Hey guys my company has tasked me with a way to log and report on the login times of all users on our Active Directory, Basically we want a weekly report of when and where users log in, for where I just mean which computer name. I have downloaded and installed the trial version of the ADManager software and can find several reports, some of which allow us to view the last log on details, However I have been asked to see more than just the last login, rather every log on for say the past week/month

Email subject/body changes and also Update time?
Three questions, I hope it doesn't get too confusing. One. Is there a way to change the email subject I would like to put our "safe" word in the subject so that it doesn't get rejected by our spam filters. Two. It would also be nice if the alert could be customizable. In other words not only tell us what the event is but add our own input to the body of the email eg lets say you have an alert on a backup server. And the error you get is that the backup drive is off line. Then you would get the alert
Custom Script help
Does anyone use the "Run Custom Script on the Successful User Creation" option under "Custom Attrubutes" of new templates to run a batch file? I would like to use this to run a simple batch file, but I get this error: "Successfully created the user; Script Execution :"IOException occured in execution of script" I'm just entering the UNC path of my batch file, and that is probably what is wrong - does anyone know how to do this? Or, is there a log somewhere that can tell me what the problem is?
Store a list of previously discovered networks in OpManager/Admin/Discover Devices
We are implementing OpManager for the first time and are adding/discovering a lot of networks that will have devices added from time to time. It would be realy nice to have a list of the networks that we have discovered previously so that we can just click on a network and have it discovered again, instead of having to retype all of the information for each network every time we need to rediscover devices.
Disk Queue Length Not working - Test not passing.
I'm trying to get disk queue length monitor on my Windows 2003 servers but it is not working.. The monitor test will not pass. However, when I go into my passwords for the actual server it passes both the SNMP and the WMI tests.. Please advise. Thanks
Date format
I've got page by page for every configuration that is available and no where can I find one of the most rudimentary selections.... How to display the date. For example, in the requests display page, the dates are displayed as Day-Month-Year Time While that's fine for my European brothers, I just looks wrong to me and I'm sorry but I want it to be displayed the standard American way of Month-Day-Year Time Am I missing something here or is it hard coded to display it one way and one way only?
Customise Dashboard Graphs to be more readable
Does anyone know if it's possible to make some minor customisations to the graphs shown on any given Dashboard? The two things in particular that we're after is: 1. Fix the vertical scale on bandwidth utilisation graphs at 100%. Problem of service-back sequence
Dears, We are still using 7020 and the latest is 7604 and what push me back that I need to apply about 4 sequence of update before getting to the latest. We are used by many company that we can apply the latest batch which will have all the update for that major version. If the operation of the batches is very safe, then it would be somehow acceptable, but from my previous experience not always. I hope there will be a solution for this. Thank you and best regards. Preventive Maintenance Task - Monthly schedule by weekday
Hi, We would like to schedule Preventive Maintenance Tasks to occur e.g. 1st Monday of every month. Currently (7604), it seems that monthly schedule only contains schedules according to date (e.g. 1st of January) but not a weekday (e.g. Monday). We would find this kind of feature wery useful as it is used a lot in other places to schedule tasks. Is there a way to do this with SD+ or do you have plans to add this feature in the near future? /lakend
Date format is all over the place
In one case, the way NFA displays dates even ignores the regional date settings of the computer. Looking around the client GUI, here are some examples of the ways dates are displayed: Wed, 14 Apr '10 (User Management page) 2010-04-14 (IP Group > Traffic page) Apr-14-10 (IP Group > Traffic page > Show Data Points) 04/14/10 (Billing page - note that this is mm/dd/yy, which ignores my regional date format of dd/mm/yy) That's 4 different formats. When I am remote controlling a computer and I am logging into it, entering a password in that requires using the shift key, the password is not excepted. I tested it on other machines and holding the caps lock or shift key does not translate through the remote control session. What to do?
Replies dissapear
Hello I've encountered the following problem in supportcenter plus. It seems that sometimes after typing a reply to a request, it sometimes dissapear. You can see the stamp in the history that a user made a reply, but when you open it, it stays empty. After some testing i found out that the problem occures when there is a HTTP link in the initial request. Massive memory leak(?) on startup
Immediately after booting, with NetFlow service disabled, my winXPsp3 machine normally uses 390MB. After enabling the NetFlow service, and rebooting, the machine is using 1.35Gig! That's almost 1GB ram used, for what is essentially a program to listen to datastreams and log them into a database!!!! When I look at Processes running, there are two: mysqld-nt.exe = 125MB jave.exe = 115MB Even just looking at these figures, I can't believe how much memory these guys are using, for what should be a relative
