Monitoring Domian Controllers

Monitoring Domian Controllers

With earlyer versions of OpManager it was possible, to monitor Windows domain controllers WITHOUT the active directory add on to OpManger. Of course, one couldn't monitor active directory counters, but one could monitor ressources such as memory or disc comsumption as well as hardware failures (as long one was installing the correct MIBs).

Today I found out, that this is not longer posasible using built 8051 of OpManger: the system detects domain controllers but refuses access to them, stating that active directory monitoring is not licensed. I hope to find a work arround for that, beacuse I'm NOT interessted in active directory monitoring (especialy not beccause it is not working with Windows 2008 R2 domains) and licensing of the active directory features is out of the financial scope of my project.
