Patch loop problem
I have done a patch scan on an XP SP3 machine and it reports that it needs MS04-028 (
NDP1.1-KB830348-X86.exe). But when I apply the patch it fails with this result:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer an d that you have the correct upgrade patch."
Then when I re-scan, Desktop Central reports that it still needs this patch! How do I break out of this loop?
