Hi All, We are currently testing Biztalk server and would like to know if it is possible to monitor it via op manager? We would like to monitor the Orchestrations and applications as well as the server. Anyone doing this? Thanks

How to edit device snapshot
Hi, We see that on many of our servers the Snapshot on the servers shows CPU Utilization information that is wrong. Basicly it shows 100% CPU Utilization. But when i click on the real time under CPU Utilization it show 3-5%. From what i have seen snmp can be tuned to check every 5 mins, but wmi is set to an interval at 45 mins which you cant change even if you do change it in the edit. This seems to be for both CPU and memory. I have set the monitor period interval to 5 mins, but the snapshot

OpManager 9 - critical error for admin down interfaces
We just upgraded to OpManager 9 and we're seeing that interfaces in an Admin down state are being reported as critical. These interfaces were reported differently in the older version of OpManager we were using. Is this something that is customizable in version 9? How do I configure OpManager 9 so that admin down interfaces are reported as a different status than an interface that is up/down?
template not setting the threshold for "Partition Details of the Device(%)" wmi monitor
This is a major show stopper. Start with a with a windows 2003 device with a Partition Details of the Device(%) monitor and no threshold. Go into device template and set the partition threshold to 85%. "Apply & Overwrite" the 2003 template to the original windows 2003 machine. The threshold setting for partition details of the device will not get set. The only way to apply the device template with the partition threshold is to first delete the windows 2003 device and then add it back. Because

Hi Is there any possiblity that we could get a TBps.gif file for OpManager ? The image OpManager is trying to display where the red X is in the attachment is: /webclient/common/images/TBps.gif And checking the folder on the server this file does not exist.

i saw there was a way to embed dashboards and widgets but is there a way to embed maps? i want to embed the switch map in a page and im not having much luck figuring it out. thanks
Probe Web Client "Loading..."
Hi, We've installed the Central server on a GoDaddy server and the probe at our co-location. I pointed the probe to the public IP of the Central server, but when I try to open the web client on the probe it just sits there with a "Loading..." message on the top left-hand corner after logging in. As far as I know all the ports are open for Manage Engine. Do I need to establish a VPN or something else in order to connect? Thanks in advanced, Jose
TLS security vulnerability
I recently had a security scan on the OpManager installation at my company. OpManager has TLS renegotiation vulerability . We were using https with self signed certificate. Unfortunately OpManager just hang on start up. Please, upgrade the JRE.
All My devices default back to unkown Category after upgrade !!!!!
Im not to sure which upgrade(9100 or 9101) as they were both done near enough to each other but all my devices that i spent hours and hours if not days setting up with custom alerts and notifications and t/holds on interfaces etc all defaulted back to a Category of :Unknown, thus removing any custom settings i had applied. So critical devices that i thought were on 1 minute polling with 4 different alerts set are now set to 60 minute polls and not notification. I have a backup of Opmanager taken

Intergrating OpManager with ServiceDesk Plus
Hi I am not able to get OpManger to intergrate with ServiceDesk Plus. I am getting the Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high error. I have been through all the groups etc and removed any special characters. I have tried local admin user and domain user but still no joy. Is there anything else that I need to check? VmWare option not available anymore
Hi, I have added in version 8 several hosts VmWare part of a VmWare Cluster and all was working fine. Once migrating to version 9 i have noticed that the VmWare hosts are not getting data. I have tried to delete one host a re-add but i received a notification about feature not licenced. Is the VmWare feature licenced since version 9? Thanks and Regards, Razvan Despa
New Mapmaker - Very Slow
Hi, Has anyone else noticed that the new map maker is quiet slow and unresponsive when you click on a device or link, don't get me wrong the new features are great but it just seems very slow and the layout in Map maker doesn't all ways match the business view aspect ratio. Cheers

Device in Trouble state without open alarms
Hi, I have a bunch of devices showing Trouble state (in the icon next to the device name) but there are no alarms for them. Can I do something to correct this? Many business views are shown in trouble too because of them. Thanks in advance. Andres
Alarms on virtual device
Hello, I have to monitor several ESX with new VM created each days. My problem is I don't want to monitor those VM but only a few of them. I have already used the quick configuration wizard to suppress alarms on virtual device but when a new one is created I still have alarms from it. Moving opmanager an MSSQL database to a new network
Hi guys we are upgrading our network Structure and need to move opmanager and the MSSQL DB to a services network. The main issue i have is the IP address of opman and the db server will change. What are the forceable implications of this and how can i update the details so when i move the devices opman will it still see the db server Thanks, Stephen
Embed-ed dashboard for large screen
Currently, I'm using the large screen monitor as the dashboard to monitor the devices. Those screens are really handy to see what is going on the network devices and servers. I'm using the 2 screens. One for the Server and VM OpManager business view dashboard & Applications Manager business view on dashboard with embed-ed iframe. Others are network map. These screens are refreshed by JavaScript and show 30 seconds each. Also, since it is large screen, I enlarged the screen by 130% on web browser.
Device Template for Domain Controllers?
In a future version, can you create a Device Template for Domain Controllers similar to the new VMware device templates to allow monitoring parameters on all Domain Controllers to be updated simulaneously.
layer 2 mapping and VLAN
I was wondering how the layer 2 mapping will reacte on a network were we rely on VLAN. I want to discover switchs and determine my physical layout. WMI not an option on Central
Hi, We are in the process of defining the device templates for our servers. When we want use wmi to add counters not default in OpManager, we do not get the option to use WMI when on the Central node. On the probes on the other hand, this is an option. What can we do to enable wmi for monitoring on the Central server too? Regards Svein

Hello, i have Installed opmanager in a VM of windows server the sever in which we installed opmanager..we are able to open the opmanager through internet explorer but when we are trying to open opmanager through internet explorer from desktops,the opmanager is not opening but if we ping to that particular ip which is assigned to opmanager then reply is comming, but if we enter the ip address or domain name in the internet explorer the opmanager is not opening please help.

MIB File rename script
Let me kick off by sharing a solution ;-) I have created a windows vbs script to help you rename the MIB files to the names given in the MIB itself. I noticed most vendors distribute MIB's but have the strange habbit to rename the files. This script will fix this problem. P to V conversion
We're performing a P to V to add guests to our VMWare infr and we're noticing the devices are not being showing up under the Virtual Device category after the process is complete. We've tried to update status, rediscover, remove and discover again and they still show as non-virtual devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
QNAP Devices.
Hi there, got a few QNAP devices (www.QNAP.com) to monitor and though the test service monitor gives a response and a value, the CPU and Memory graphs do not show up: I have added a custom template, added the QNAP MIB (Please see attached file), no joy. Also, you do not have the Vendor/Type of QNAP (NAS) by default? Any ideas? Thanks! Adrian.
Updating Clients IP Addresses
Hi everyone, We are running Opmanager build no 8812. I noticed the Desktops clients that are being monitored do not get their IP Address updated when that changes. We have a DHCP running in our network( other than the server running OpManager) Server running OpManager solves corectlly the names and nslookup looks correct and accurate, but OpManager does not get updated. Issue Using Perl for Windows and Custom Script Templates
I have an issue where I have OpManager installed on a Windows 2003 server and am trying to use Perl to write a custom script template. The issue I have is that whenever I try to use a "foreach" loop, the script just hangs and eventually times out. The script runs fine when ran manually. It only fails when ran through OpManager. Has anyone else seen this issue? If so, did you get it resolved? Thanks!

Help: OpManager mail reports in an hour later
Alarms are reported to the server when the event happens, but the detail shows one hour later. example: Event occurs at 15:00, are displayed on the monitor without problems, but in the mail shows that the incident happened at 14:00.
