OpManager 7 - Map views request
In OpManager 6 each of the "Business" views and "Network" views could be shown as a list, the same as the "Infrastructure" view. In OpManager 7 this is not available. This is VERY inconvenient as the only view you get is a page of little icons showing a color and you have to click on each of them to get any further data. PLEASE change this back as it makes the program very painful to use for myself and my colleagues across the globe which has already resulted in my not recomending it to 2 friends

Opmanager 7 missing interface stats
Hi, I have just upgraded from version 6 (6012) to version 7, using the upgrade pack available from here. All the regular windows service monitoring and interface up/down monitoring seem ok, but I don't seem to be getting any traffic information for any interfaces, being on switches, routers or servers. The devices are mainly Cisco 1801 routers (140), HP 2524 (20) and some mixed other cisco & devices. All these are being monitored fine with version 6. Is there any way to force for traffic/utilization
Help inventory tab and security tab problems
hi basicly my setup is op manager installed on our mail server and a probe installed at our clients server we a using a vpn tunnel to get the imformation from the probe to the server we have opened port 6565 6161 which are scanfi ports through this tunnel everything is working except the inventory tab and the security tab they error saying The given/available NAT_NAME(sistema-v01) & NAT_PORT(6565) for the probe may be wrong. Firewall configuration might not be done in the probe LAN. Probe May be
interfaces can't be added
hello, when i discover the interfaces on a 3com switch and want to add them, the display says interfaces added sucessfully, but when i refresh there are no interfaces. regards sjoerd

No Service or URL monitors for a custom Infrastrcucture View
It would seem that when we create a custom Infrastructure View in OP7 those new views can only have Performance monitors - no URL or Service monitors. At least, these options do no show up when viewing a device that is in a non-Server "category". Any way wo make these monitors show up? Thanks
Device already present in the System (Build 7010)
Hello Yesterday i wanted to add one device to the opmanager. After adding the device OpManager said everything went fine but as i wanted to take a look at the device opmanager didnt find it. So i tried to delete the device with a prepared link (copied the delete link from another device of the same type, changed the name and called it in the browser). OpManager said that the removing of the device was initalized. After about 30min i tried to re-add the device. Now OpManager gives me the error " Device
Report Problems
After the migration of to the new version. We are not able to view reports now, it says no data available. Do we need to do something here?
OpManager 7 does not find network
OpManager 7 does'n find network if i try to discover range, like from 10.15.0.0 to 10.15.0.255 mask 255.255.0.0 Network 10.15.0.0/16 does not appear on the net map.

Upgrade from 6005 to 7010 Issues?
Hello. I'm having issues with all our monitoring after the upgrade path. The problem we are experiencing is that when there is a troubled circuit we get paged/emailed, but when the circuit clears we will get paged sometimes on lines but not other times. I have made sure that the notification is setup to notify us when a line clears. To give everyone an idea here is what we have Op setup to do. We monitor our T1 circuits which have Cisco routers on the other end for errors, line down/up, etc. When
Missing Items on Business Views
Hi All -- I wonder if anyone else has had a problem with items disappearing in Business Views? After upgrading from 6 to 7 all views were in place and correct but recently I've found a couple of views missing items. The only thing that has happened is a couple of sub-network scans occurred. Your help and insights are appreciated.
Standard (non-SSL) port for OpManager 7?
I am evaluating OpManager 7 and I would like to enable access to the web interface via regular HTTP in addition to the default SSL configuration. I could not find any reference to this in the user manual, only how to change the listening port to something else. Is it possible to enable HTTP, and if yes, how? Thanks in advance, Virgil

sd Plus addon not working
I am running 7010 opmanager and i can go to admin addons and configure sd plus and run the connection test is all fine. But then i go to a computer and click on ihardware details i get the following error. So the test is good i am using sd plus everyday the server does exist in the sd plus inventory. DELL Switch Interfaces no longer appear after rediscovery
I am running OpManager 7 build (7020). Initially we had a DELL PowerConnect 3348 switch monitored with all its ports. By mistake the 'Rediscover' button was clicked in OpManager. Now the only switch interfaces that appear are the 6 LAG ports. When you click 'Add' to add the 48 regular ethernet ports it says 'Sucessfully added' but all you ever see is the 6 LAG ports. Can someone help out? Thanks.

bug with alarms clear
Hi, When you select in Alarm tab to show more than 25 alarms in the page because you have more than 25 alarms and when you decide to clear those alarms, clearing process clear only 25 alarms instead all showed in the page. For example, you have 52 alarms, you select 75 alarms per page then you clear all, only the 25 first alarms are cleared, you must redo the same thing for the rest. Regards PCO
Configuring MIB
Hi, We need to monitor a Motorola PTP 58400 device using opmanager. The vendor has send us the MIB of the device. Can anyone guide me on how to do the configuration in opmanager so that this device can be monitored. we have an opmanager central server and 18 probe servers. I have put the MIB in the location D:\Program Files\AdventNet\ME\Central\mibs. We have an option named MIB browser in the probe servers. I tried to load the MIB but it was not listed. Am i missing any steps here. Can anyone guide

Hi there, I'm trying to set-up OpManager to monitor our Exinda Network boxes. I've downloaded the MIB file off teh Exinda Box, however when i try to use it, it gives the following error: Error parsing MIB:Exinda-MIB Exception while loading MIB:Could not parse the file C:/Program Files/AdventNet/ME/OpManager/./mibs/Exinda-MIB The error occured at the line no: 181 ,column: 5. Only the base datatype and TEXTUAL-CONVENTIONs are allowed as syntax in the SEQUENCE construct. Invalid name (character comma)

Problem monitoring new Allied Telesys switch...
Need to monitor a new Allied Telesys switch. The basic switch template shows interfaces OK but I want to get more info by using the MIB from Allied Telesys. I uploaded the MIB using the MIB browser. The OID is .1.3.6.1.4.1.207 Using the MIB browser, I test it by getting the info using the above OID with the switch IP address. The SNMP info is returned as expected. I go to custom templates, and add Allied Telesys as a vendor, plus add other template details (Name, Icon etc.) I then query the device,

No traffic shown on newer Cisco router interfaces
I am running the latest revision of OpManager and am having difficulty getting traffic to show on a Cisco 2800 and 1800 series router. The traffic shows 0s for in/out. The older routers have no trouble displaying traffic. I've deleted and rediscovered the unit again a few times. It's using SNMP v.2. Any ideas why it doesn't seem to work on the newer series of routers?

Windows service monitors down after v7 upgrade
Hi, I wonder if you can help? I have just upgraded opmanager from v6 to v7. The upgrade appeared to work ok, however since then, the majority of my windows service monitors ar showing that the service is down. This is occurring on all monitored devices, and the majority of services are reported as down. Multiple alarms triggered for no apparent reason
We have had at least three instances now where OpManager starts calling out multiple devices as unavailable for no apparent reason (including the server OpManager is installed on!). When this has happened we have restarted our OpManager server to resolve it. Unfortunately, this generated 60+ pages to multiple technicians after hours each time. This happened at least twice on version 6 and now has happened again since our upgrade to version 7. Any suggestions where I should start in diagnosing this?

In Opmanager 7 GA is there any way to rename a monitor? I added the free desk space monitor for the c: drive and it called it Free Disk Space in GB-C:\ Label: Serial Number e4de4ed9. i would rather it just say Free Disk space on C:
OpManager 7020 - Use of interface instead of node?
Hi there! Where I can change the SNMP Query type from node to interface in the current OpManager version? In the "old" V6 the created custom monitors were listed in the opmanager_graphInfo.xml but in the V7? I create a new Device Template with an new performance monitor and apply it to a specific device from which I want to query SNMP values (temperature sensor). But this performance monitor don't seem to emerge in any config file. In the OpManager V6 it was necessary to do these change in the xml
Restore of the OpManager Database doesn't work
Hello I'm using OpManager 7 (BuildNumber: 7010) and i've got a little problem with the Restore of the Database. It justs stays for a longtime (over 1 hour) at "Please wait ! Restoring in Progress....................." and doesn't finish. OpManager is running on Windows 2003 Standard Edition (on an Virtual Machine based on ESX) The .data File is about 60 MB. 've got about 300 monitored devices in the database. Does anyone know whats going wrong?

Can't clear an empty alarm
I have one server in OM that has a "ghost" or empty alarm that will not go away. I have deleted & re-added the device, updated status, rediscovered, but within 10 minutes the ghost alarm is back again. See attached image for proof. Can someone shed some light on how I can resolve this please? OM 7010 with MSSQL backend.

OpManager 7010 Traceroute tool
I had reported a problem with your built in traceroute tool in version 6, it only shows the few lines of a traceroute which makes it useless and was told it would be fixed. The problem still exists in version 7, just go to actions and then traceroute under a device that has more than 4 hops and you will see the trace only shows 4 lines. When will this be fixed?
