Unable to modify Notification Template - Returns "Error Occurred"

However when I do this in version 7007 it comes up with a popup box, error occured see attached. Problem scanning new worksation
Hi, Im having a problem while scanning a new worksation. I scan it and no errors are reported, but no changes are made in the worksation information. I can scan almost all the others worksations, and being this new machines it must be a windows problem, i follow all the indications given when a unsuccessfull scan, but no change. Any ideas? Upgrading from jre 6.16 to jre 6.17 with Desktop Central build 70010
When I shedule a software install (.exe) with the recommended arguments to upgrade to jre6.17 it conticuously says that it cannot find the install file and to check its location. I have opened up the network share competley to everyone so I don't think permissions are the issue. I can actually run a software install configuration with the jre (.msi) package and it finds it within the same network share I have the .exe. However it fails with a "fatal error during installation".
Opmanager doesn't start
We're running Opmanger ver 8 on Windonws 2003 SP2, using SQL on another server. Recently after returning from vacation I found that the Opmanager service stops when I try to log on. If I start the service and try to log in it stops again. I tried to start the service with startopmanagerserver.bat, but that also failed. I heard from our SQL admin that during my absence there was an issue with the accounting DB and it had to be restored. Apparently nothing was done to the Opmgr database. Attached
AS400 collect logs problem
Hi, I'm trying to receive logs from AS400 server to ELA. I must use the european date format dd/MM/yy. This seen be a problem because I receive only a part of logs every day. In particular I receive logs from 00:00 to 02:59. NOT one from 03:00 to 23:59. I don't understand what I wrong. Can anyone help me ? Regards, Pierpaolo De Grandis
7.6 Upgrade...Extra Whitespace on Email Replies
This seemed to have just surfaced after our upgrade, but email responses created from within Service Desk seems to be adding about 5 extra lines before the begining of the typed email response. Is this something that is configurable? John

Problems after 7.6.0 updates
Hi, After upgrade to 7.6.0 version we have few problems... (java client upgraded to : jre 6.17) like : Scheduled report - Our report is configured to send by mail all request created at yesterday... But after the update, the scheduled report collect ALL request present in our database. !!! and after that, the report mail is not send. OpManager Randomly Unmanages Servers

Replying to request creates a new request
Good Afternoon everyone, I've been unable to accurately recreate this issue to figure out what the problem is, but it does happen fairly often. A ticket will be submitted via email. A technician will reply to said ticket using the web interface. For whatever reason, the reply creates a new ticket as "RE: [ticket id]: ticket description." Hi, I need to collect AS400 logs so I'm testing EventLog Analizer. I create the object, assigning IP, admin credential and the european date format dd/MM/yy (NOTE THIS). So, I receive some logs but there are somethings wrong: 1. I receive only logs from today at 00:00 to today at 03:11 2. I continuosly receive the same logs. Every 10 minutes logs increase of dimension but they are always the same. What can I do ? Is there some other parametes to change ? TIA
Time and Date are wrong
Hello, I have a mix of Win 2003 and Win 2008 servers. The 2003 servers are being logged in EventLog Analyzer correctly however the Win 2008 servers are not. The times and dates show in Eventlog Analyzer as approx 5 hours in the future from real time. The time on the 2008 servers are correct. Any ideas?
Upgrade to 7.6 failure
When upgrading my test environment to 7.6, I took a database snapshot from production and upgraded to 7514. When I did this, I received database null constraint errors that I got past by editing the updatemanager.bat file to ignore errors in the processorinfo, softwarelicenses and wordmap tables. Upgrading to 7.6 broke RTF editor for Request Template "description" and "resolution" fields
Since upgrading to via patch from 7.5 to 7.6. The Request template fields "description" and "resolution" do not work when (both in IE and Firefox) copying and pasting RTF formated text into these fields. Previously formated text in these fields also was lost during the upgrade. Now, we are resorting to basic HTML to format text, and it does not work well at all. No more copying and pasting from Word or Excel. :(
Solution IDs Jump by 300
SDP Version : 7.5.0 Build 7514 We've recently begun using the Solutions portion of SDP. We noticed that every 5 entry the ID jumps by 300. (Please see attached image.) I would assume that this is not supposed to hapen.?.

custom dates not included in email report
When generating a PDF version of a report for a custom time period, the date range is displayed in the report header, but when you choose to email a PDF report for a custom time period, the date range is NOT included. This makes it impossible to tell what data is represented in the report. This appears to be an oversight, since the dates do appear in the PDF you can view directly from the application.
Wrong character set in AD module
Look at this screenshots . I have a domain on Windows Server 2008 x64 Russian . (for Windows Server 2003 x86 Russian in another domain - the same problem). OpManager constantly stops working
Our installation of OpManager, which is a fresh install of both Server 03 and OpManager, continously stops working. This has been a problem since we starting using the product about 2 years ago, and is very frustrating when I get alerted of a problem by an end user instead of the product we paid to notify us. We are on the latest patch, except for the one that was just released. When it stops working, the server itself is functional, but I have to either restart the server or restart the services.

Update to 7514 - Can't change request status
Hi, I updated ServiceDesk from7503 to 7514 this morning, and now it seems we can't change request status. I tried 3 different ways (clicking on status in the request, clicking on edit in the request, and the resolution tab) but it still doesn't work. Everything else can be change as usual, the only thing we can't update is the status, and it's a bit critical since we can't close them (resolve them in fact, we use a custom Resolved status on most of our tickets) The problem affects new tickets (7514)
Changing request template removes entered data
Hi, Has anyone else noticed that when the request template is changed that the data entered for the request is removed? Example: select new request select a requester Change Template from drop down Template changes and details disappearI understand that some templates require different fields and default values, but shouldn't some info be retained, such as the actual requester? Mail Fetch won't start after server outage
Have noticed after a recent outage that servicedesk isn't fetching the mail. All looks ok, but when I stop fetching and 're-type' in the username and password I receive the message - FAILURE :Email Settings saved successfully. But error occured while trying to check connection with mail server - Authentication Failed using the given username and password. The username and pw are correct. I've even reset the pw to make sure. After the above message I can still click on Fetch Mail and all looks fine

Hi everyone I got some problem with accessing into OP8 yesterday night. I checked Event log on the server, It said the OP8 was terminated yesterday afternoon. I tried to bring it back by restarting the managengine services and run the repairDB.bat and reinitialDB .bat. But none of them working. Can anyone give me some idea what happen is this? Is database corrupted again?
when you click on a change sometimes a different change is brought up
Sometimes but not all the time, whenyou click on a Change in the Change Tab, that is not the Change that gets opened. Sometimes if you reorder the changes and try again the right one gets opened but not all the time. Sometimes you have to exit ServiceDesk all together before it fixes itself.
java.exe using 90-98% of CPU
Hi there, Since the latest build of SDP I have been experiencing issues with performance and mail fetching on SDP. I migrated everything to a new server with entirely fresh install but it has returned. I updated java and still no luck. Now my system has stopped fetching mail. I run on Windows 2008 with TREND officescan AV, and the system is literally clean as can be. DB is only about 100mb so it cant be that. When mail fetching is stopped the system performance returns to normal. Please help.

ESX 3.5 Virtual Machine Email Alert Only Showing Machine Name for One CPU Core?
We monitor our ESX VI3 clusters with OpManager and there seems to be a glitch in the alerting for virtual machines with more than one CPU assigned. Example: DatabaseServer01 is assigned 4 CPU and during the course of daily operation, some action causes said CPU's to breach the assigned threshold of 95%. We receive 4 email notifications about this breach, but only one of them actually contains the VM name: Message: CPU Utilization of VM for .707 is 96 %, threshold value for this monitor is 95 %Device:
Repeated date in Date/Time popup.
I noticed that when I edit a report I made, the date popup shows the first two days of the month as 1. Anything that refreshes the popup(such as clicking the Today option or changing the month) fixes it. Minor annoyance, really, but I thought it's worth reporting.
Backup Config on Avaya Media Gateway

Service Desk not picking up new emails
Hi I have had this problem with Service Desk plus where it will work for around a day or two but then it will halt and appear that it is still working, but new requests which are emailed in arn't picked up and created as new jobs. I will then have to stop the Service Desk service and start it again and then all the emails that have been sent throught the period of when SD has stopped working will all be created as new jobs as soon as the service is back up. Solutions - Attachments not found
I recently migrated SD+ over to a new server. Ever since I've done that, I am no longer to view attachments within Solutions. When I click on the Solutions, it says "File was not found". I added a screen shot of the error. I am able to go in to the solution and delete the old one and re-add the document but is there any other fixes to point the Solutions to where the files are. I also have no moved any of the files. Ideas?

NTFS Reports - Permissions for Folders
When I run this report for Parent Folder it runs fine and I get the results I am expecting. Running it for Sub Folders also just results in an eventual time out. Any hints or ideas on how to get this report to run. Thankyou
