linux disk space monitoring
Im trying to monitor a red hat ent server, snmp is fine and i can monitor cpu and memory usage but not disk space. In mib browser i can get the values but the disk space has no data on the server object any ideas? thanks

I have been cleaning up my domain and one of things was building a new DC with 2K8. I did this and wanted to get rid of one of the 2003 DC's which was one who happened to be doing all sorts of SQL stuff and held the servicedesk. After running DCPROMO, all the access was stripped from the database and the windows internal database would not start and no domain account could access servicedesk. I set the windows internal database to local logon and it started but no domain accts could access it.
Problem with Receiving a Notification when a request is assigned to a group
Hello, Group notification is not working correctly. When a request is assigned to a group, the notification is not send out to all technicians which should recieve the notification. Only some of them receive it. I removed the technicians from the notification list and reassigned them, but this didn´t help. Please advise Version is 7.6.0 Build 7603 Thank you, Tatyana
database restore
I had to move one of my managed app manager installs to a new server due to a hardware crash. I installed the program, copied a backup of the AMDB folder & ran repairdb.bat, but the service won't stay started. Is there something else I need to do?
Custom Filters - probable incorrect localization of "and/or" in Russian
Hi, SD support! When creating custom filters in Russian locale "AND" rule (Match ALL) works incorrectly - selects requests as with "OR" rule. Looks like SD uses translated word in query instead of "and" - because in English locale everything is fine. Please fix it.
MS SQL issue since upgrading to 8050
I just upgraded to 8050 and afterward all my MS SQL monitors are gone. Every server I had the monitors setup on shows the monitor dashboard but all the monitors are gone. I added the monitors back for my main cluster but most of them are now showing alarms. Here is one of the alarms.. Average Lock Wait Time is 837541 ms, threshold value for this monitor is 2048 ms Before the upgrade all the monitors were fine. Not only did the upgrade remove all the current monitors and make the new ones way off
Router changed IP - unable to rediscover interfaces
Hi, We've recently had to change the primary IP address of our core Cisco router to fix some QOS issues. This then caused the device to appear as not available. I changed the IP address and now I can see Availability, CPU, Memory, etc but on the listed interfaces I'm not getting any traffic or utilisation like I was before the IP change. I've tried to do a rediscovery on the interfaces but I get the error "Unable to rediscover the interfaces. Check et, etc". SNMP is working I would assume since I'm

Goup notification does not wotk
When request assigned to group, nobody gets notification, although checked in group settings. If additionallly supp rep has been specified he gets the notification, but not other members of group. Bug?
Auto Authentication Intermittent Issues
All users are intermittently being prompted for their network credentials when accessing SDP 7603. Sometimes they are able to auto authenticate and sometimes they are prompted for their credentials. The system autenticates about 85% of the time. The rest of the time users either have to log in with their credentials or close all browser windows and reopen SDP. Descriptions and resolutions disappear when saving or closing
I have had many users complain and experienced the problem myself where a description or a resolution disappears when saving or closing a request. I am on 7603 but have had the issue on previous versions. The issue seems to happen more frequently since upgrading to 7600. Has anyone else had this issue?

Unable to reply to a request containing an E-Mail address starting with an underscore.
When trying to reply to a request where the 'To' or 'CC' fields contain an E-Mail address starting with an underscore the following message is returned and the reply isn't sent. Message from webpage Please enter propper E-Mail ID: __email@domain.com I assume this has been caused by some field validation which was introduced during a recent upgrade. Members of SDAdmin unable to approve their own Solutions
I have just noticed an issue where members of the SDAdmin roll are unable to approve their own Solutions but can approve other users Solutions without any issues. This is annoying as all I approve all the solutions for QA but I also submit my own and having to grant another rights just to approve my solutions is not really an option. Data not recorded in Script Monitor
Hi I now have lost 3 days of data on one of my script monitors. The output file is refreshed correctly with new data every time the monitor is run, but in Application Manager, only -NA- is displayed. And in last 7 days, the latest data is 3 days old. Help appreciated.
SQL Server 2005 install
Had to manually create a couple tables: AM_SearchKeywordsColumnsMapper and AM_SearchResultsHandler. I'm guessing that SQL server has case sensitive column names, so have capitalized installer has: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( ID BIGINT NOT NULL, ... had to change to: create table AM_SearchResultsHandler ( id BIGINT NOT NULL, ... After that, the stderr.log file fills up with a bunch of invalid column names, and all the services stop. I'm switching to trying a MySQL install instead.
SAP CCMS add-on: attribute name not reporting the complete ccms path
Hello, I've noticed that AppManager doesn't report the complete path for an attribute. For example (look at the attachment) I have in my CCMS tree several "Free space" attributes for each Oracle tablespace. The "Monitor Information" area display a generic "Free space" attribute in alarm, not the complete path. Switchports and alerts
I have several Cisco access switches that are monitored by Opmanager. Every time a user unplugs their laptop or it gets shut off we get an alert. This is not optimal as we get hundereds of alerts a day. I have read the forums and the solution has been to unmanage the ports. I do not want to do this since I want to continue to gather performance statistics on these ports. I have seen the ability to change the criticality of certain interface rules but I dont want to change the rules for interfaces

We use servicedesk.core.gb.com as the url for all service reps and customers both internall and externally. servicedesk.core.gb.com is redirected to http://www.core.gb.com:8080/sd/SolutionsHome.sd however when emails are issued with this url http://servicedesk.core.gb.com/WorkOrder.do?woMode=viewWO&woID=415 our redirect converts it to http://servicedesk.core.gb.com/sd/solutionshome.sd/WorkOrder.do?woMode=viewWO&woID=415 which returns a 404 error. Can this issue be resolved?

installation problem under ubuntu with mysql

Hi, I have OpManager build 8050. I tried to connect to it using the Blackberry web browser but, after some time, it says "connection timed out". Problem after upgrading to version 9 - URL monitoring
1)I upgrade AppManager from 8.5 to 9 and the backup script for the database forces a shutdown to mysql !! 2) I want to monitor a URL of an internal Web Site which has integrated authentication with AD When I recorded the scenario I was asked for userid& password and if I provide valid username the recording proceeds but after the installation the monitor is always down. Issue with changing Scanned Software types
SDP+ 7603 To reproduce the issue: 1. Open Assets --> Scanned Software 2. Check the checkbox on 1 or more entries 3. Change the “Move To:” dropdown box to the desired Type 4. Click the “Move” button Once complete, repeat the process again on 1 or more entries. When you click the “Move” button for the second time, the selected entries are not changed. NOTE: In addition, after this action is performed, most “Filter” dropdown boxes for any list in SD+ (e.g. Requests, Purchases) fail to work.
Adding custom WMI monitor does not work
Hovering over the WMI perfomance counter shows me the current raw value from the exchange server, however when I add the monitor and try to test it, I get The Monitor did not respond to the test request. The specific monitor in question is the PhysicalDisk.AvgDisksecPerRead (any instance). Is this due to the fact that it is a 2008 server. Has anyone gotten this working? Thanks. Rob

Hello, I have a problem with Opmanager 8 build 8050. When I try to make a new Notification Profile Rule in a device (Add Profile > Select a Notification Profile > Define Criteria > Apply this profile during the below mentioned time window), I define From 18:00 To: 8:00 all days, but this rule does't work. add asset issue
Hi, whenever we add a workstation, it just replaces an old entry, instead of adding a new workstation. For example, after a network scan we have like 20 workstations. If we delete 19 of them and then add one, then we will not have two workstations, but the workstation will be replaced. Is there any resolution ? this is really buggy... Thanks.
Request loses group and technician when Request Status changed via Edit Request from filtered view
If we are viewing our tickets in a filtered view (that is, a list of Open Requests, Pending Requests or some other custom view) and check to select the ticket then click the Edit Request button at the top, then only change the Request Status, the request loses Group and Technician assignment. If you look at the screenshot, this is what we see in the history tab, making it appear that the Technician actually changed those fields when in fact ONLY the Request Status field was adjusted.
