how to enable Change Management for Cisco equipments?
Hi we bought device expert professional edition.I'm trying switch on change management. At my cisco ASA firewall I did following: logging host inside 172.16.63.144 <---- here situated device expert and its syslog logging asdm notifications logging trap notifications At device expert server I added new device, enabled Syslog Change Detection, created rule and associated it to this device When I configure my equipment I unable get change notifications automatically. Adding new vendor from Software License
No matter what role or permissions I give the technicians (besides admin) they are unable to add a vendor within the Asset tab > software license > add new, they can within the contract tab> add contract > new vendor. Was this ever fixed or is grant Admin rights the only fix? I do not want to give admin rights to a technician for them to perform this function.

Asset Scan failure
A laptop harddrive failed and the technician replaced it with another harddrive (the laptop name, serial number, etc remained the same), Within Assets, the laptop was still displayed but when he went to Scan Now to run an update on this laptop a failure message popped up. I saw the laptop that he forced a scan on and it was defiantly connected to the network at the time of the forced scan. Reason this occured? Unable to delete report folder / report folders not displayed
Hello all, I've been looking at our report definitions and am looking to remove some custom folders that have been created to house reports. It doesn't appear that this can be done from the application itself and so after reading a few previous posts, I figured that the report definitionss must be contained with in the database somewhere. Sure enough I came across the CustomReport_Folder and CustomReport_Details tables (MSSQL) which seems to house the detail I'm looking for. My first question
AppManager Keeps Asking for Login
Almost anytime I select a report or make a configuration change in AppManager, it goes back to the login screen and I have to login again. Is there something I can do to fix this?

We use application manager as a reporting tool and also to find the performance related issues in weblogic integration servers ( Clustered enviroment ) In the ManageEngine Application Mgnr 8, I have the default monitors which says about the health statistics etc for each managed server in the cluster. CPU and memory bar in the maps "List view"
Hi, I created a custom template for a Juniper switch EX4200. I configured the monitoring of the CPU and the Memory. I also changed the "opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml" to see the dial on the device detail. I would like to see the same information also in the List view. See the attached file. As you can see the CPU and memory bar are always 0 even if looking the device detail you can see that the memory is 5%. How I can do that? Thanks, Roberto D.
Mobile client does not work on AT&T
I have been working with support on an issue and wanted to see if others have the same problem here. My cell phone is a Tilt 2 with AT&T. I can't get the mobile help desk site to work on my phone. I constantly get a 504 Gateway timeout error. It will work on the iPhone on AT&T as well as on any phone on the Verizon network but it will not work on Tilt 2. I spent some time talking with AT&T and they told me it is because their MediaNet servers can't compress the site enough to send it. I asked
Site not filling for requests submitted via API
We're using the API interface to submit tickets from our Software Installation Self Service system to SD+. We're using the "Operation=AddRequest" function, and we're using the "RequesterEmail" value to identify the requester. However, the "Site" is not filling in for the requester, therefore our site-based rules are not being engaged. Is this a known bug with the API interface?

CAT OS and IOS
Although we can 'see' Cisco IOS, we cannot see CATOS. We have tried to upload a MIB, but just fails with nothing special to report (ie helpful). We have a fair bit of equipment that needs this.

User Can Override Domain Password Policy and change password as much as he wants
Hi, We are experiencing a problem where users can simply override domain password policy by accessing selfservice URL and click on reset password link. our domain password minimum age is set to 2 and password history to 8, and the reset password function doesn't comply with this even if the password policy is displayed in the page. ServiceDesk Plus v7605 Testing Issues Thread
If you are like me, you test all updates to SDP in your development environment as thoroughly as possible before going live in production. I am starting this thread as a central location for us (the SDP customers/Admins) to record issues we run across when testing the latest version of SDP. My thinking is more heads are better than one and if one of us is having an issue, there is a good possibility that others will as well. At the least, recording the issue here will give other SDP Admins a “heads-up”
Missing Event Log Rules
We recently noticed that we now can only see Application and Security Event Log when trying to create a new event log rule. We are missing System and any other event log monitoring. I know that these existed before, but cannot determine how long this has been a problem. How can we get the standard System Event Logs back? MSSQL monitor values way off...
Hi opManager team, we have an MSSQL server which is reporting highly improbable values (see image below) - our computers are not that! fast. Other MSSQL servers do not show this problem. Hi all, Is there any provision in Opmanager to monitor the Website from remote location ? I have a webserver connected in the same network as that of Opmanager server. This webserver hosts an application which is accessible from internet. Added devices not showing up
Recently, when I add devices they do not show up anywhere in Opmanager. I have tried restarting the server, repairing the database, and just waiting. I can keep adding them over and over and it says successful, but can never find it. I am using Opmanager 8051 on Windows 2003. Any ideas? -Sam
Variable $NoteMadeBy is not functioning in subject line
I'm on the template "E-mail technician when note attached to a Request." The default subject is "A note has been added to Request Id ##$RequestId##", I'm attempting to change that to "$NoteMadeBy added a note to RequestID #$RequestId". When I get the email however it's not replacing $NoteMadeBy with the value. Any ideas?
Mail Fetching not working
Mail Server Settings shows status as 'Running' but mail is not being fetched. we recently moved to exchange 2007, which uses TLS for POP. is this compatible? i set email type as POPS with port 995. POP with port 100 did not work either. i tried the recommendations of start/restart service, etc in other mail fetching threads, with no luck. support logs attached. thanks for any help! -Andrew

Change alert email sent but does not show
Good afternoon I receive alert emails for changes made by our engineers in our routers and switches configuration files. However, when I check the daily configuration change details, these changes can not be found. I have already checked the related change management rules and found nothing wrong. Any ideas why the changes indicated in the alert emails do not show in the daily view of the devices?
Importing configuration files?
We are exporting the config files using the export tool and once we do a mass change on them how can we import them back in without opening every config and copy / pasting to each device? I have almost 300 routers we need to make a change on and would like to do it in bulk.
Weird visualization on a frame
At my company, we have an intranet we use for many things and we wanted to show the Help Desk application as part of "modules" of our intranet, we inserted a button on the modules menu on the left frame and targeted it to the Service Desk Plus application on the right frame (which is actually the same server, but on a different port). pfsense & OpManager Dials.
I have installed OpManager (Build 8051) on RHEL 5 and attempting to monitor several pfsense embedded routers / firewalls. The monitors (CPU Util, Memory Util, etc) are collecting data and graphing. The Dials are not displaying any data and stating "No Data Available". The monitor test are returning values and I have modified the opmanager_snapshot_dial.xml as per other directions found in this forum. Just to confirm operation I added a Netscreen 5GT to OpManager and the dials do populate for it.
Request Templates - Categories / Sub Categories / Items not Propegating.
Hi Im attempting to create a few basic template calls so the technicans can raise a number of basic one click calls, password resets etc. However i am unable to complete creating the templates as the connected Sub Categories / Items are not being displayed ie 'User Administration -> Passwords -> AD', i can select User Administration, but the following 2 do not offer any options. Installed the latest patch today hoping for the issue to be resolved, no change. Tried in both IE8 and Chrome.

SLA Times off
I set an SLA High respond time of 5 minutes, and a resolve time of 25. I created a trouble ticket at 12:47 Configuration is as follows: The SLA response email was sent to Valerie at 12:55 Jeremy Recieved the resolution SLA email at 1:05 AND at 1:15. The times on all our servers and PC's are synced up. Email is hosted in house so no delays on delivery. Is there anything wrong on why the times are off, this cn be worrying, especially on high priority problems.
VM-Ware ESX
I'm on the latest version of OpManager and it seems like every 7-8 days I have to reboot my OpManager server for it to start registering SNMP again on my VM-WARE ESX servers. I've got more than the system requirements for the OpManager server and I just find this really odd. Was wondering if anyone else had reported this issue.
