OpManager upgraded 8050 and MS SQL backend
Hello, I upgraded our OPmanager with latest service pack 8050 and now we are facing issues. Opmanager is used with MS SQL backend on MSSQL 2000 First problem When I try to add Windows services I got error Error While handling the request Second problem Process monitor is not working, when I tried to add a process monitor, i'm not getting error message, I've nothing and process monitor is not added. All existing process monitors gone As there aer a lot of great new things in this version
How to change the severity of alert?
for example, i want to change the interface down alert(not the trap) from trouble to attention.
Scan problems
I have run in to several issues with scanning computers. Particularly Mac's. Here is a few: 1. SD+ can't get the Serial Number 2. yet alone identify a host by that S/N (So, If the host info in SD+ and reality are not 100/100, you can't really scan the network without creating duplicates). 3. Domain part is dropped from Resource Name (hostname.domainx.com is OK but hostname.domainy.com is cut to hostname. This creates several issues). 4. Model is shown as --Choose Model-- in edit mode after the scan.
Matrix report group by Year / Month
The matrix reports grouped by year and monts sort column by name of the month. So first is August (08) no January (01). This should be sorted by the number of the month. I have a polish version of SDP. Is names of the months can be translated?
I've lost my inbound e-mail
I've noticed that I've lost some my inbound e-mails... Here I see request that have inbound e-mail from requester And here I can't see them :(
When Changing priority level from medium to low the call breaches SLA
SLA is set as follows Priority Medium - 4 hours Priority Low - 8 hours Create a call in PM an save it. Edit the call and change the priority to PL the call breaches SLA immediately. Also the "Due By" date & time field gets erased. Why would this happen? There are no issues if creating a call in PL and changing it to PM. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Custom Query Report
I´m trying to use the Query Report, but I have a problem. In my select I have this function (A.TIMESPENTONREQ/1000/60/1400). In same cases the result of this function is a decimal number, but the report is always round up. How can I see the number in the report with their decimal fields ?
ERROR: Trying to start MySQL server failed
Hi there, We've been runnng Password Manager Pro on Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 for almost a year with no problems. The server was rebooted on the weekend and now we're unable to start the PMP Service. I'm able to start the service manually (using the Services MMC) but it stops again almost immediately. I've attached WRAPPER.LOG, SERVEROUT0.TXT and also the output I receive when running STARTDB.BAT from the command line. Any help would be much appreciated.

It says Requieres more than 1 bussiness views of shortcuts exhausted, also when i want to add a device(s) the program star to load the configuration however it never go forward. Also when i select the link Maps and then i want to add a Business View it never pass, it says Initializing Bussiness view and never go forward. last week we have installed the OPmanager Distributed editton, (build 7501), we are going to monitor aproximatly 1000 devices that are located in more remote locations. The Database from the Central server is on MSSQL 2005, and the database from the Probe is on mysql. Linking Opmanager with SDP
I am trying to link Opmanager with SDP, and keep getting the error "Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high". SDP is setup to use AD usernames, and I have followed all the guides as to setting this up. I have Netflow residing on the same server as SDP on a different port and it connect fine.
Problem with performace monitors with opmanager update 8050
I update my opmanager to the last versions ( 8050 and 8051 ), but now i can't see the historical data of the performance monitors of any device. The opmanager show me the text "No data available" (" No hay datos disponibles " in spanish version ). We execute repairdb.bat but i can't resolve the problem Thanks!

Downtime Schedules cannot start in the past
If I create a Downtime Schedule that starts in the past, it will never take effect even if the ending date is in the future.. Here's an example: 1) I need to suppress alerts immediately and the time is currently 12:16 PM. 2) I create a Downtime Schedule for 12:15 PM to 18:00 PM. 3) I click the Update button to return the list of Schedules 4) The "Next Scheduled at" column says that it's Finished even though it should be in effect up through 18:00. The only way to get around this is to select 12:30
Associated Requester site not filled in new request created with the API
Since upgrading to the new 7602 release, every new requests created with the API don't have any site specified. It used to automatically associate the newly created request site with the requester's site, and now it does not anymore. Anyone having the same issue? Anyone found a solution for this? Cannot access mysql database
We are deploying OpManager to a number of sites, each with similar configs, but with a few tweaks. As a result I was trying to look through the sql database to see if we could script some steps to save time when we deploy the program. However, I am having troubles logging in. I use the command "./mysql -u root -P 13306 OpManagerDB" fromt he mysql subfolder in the OpManager folder. WinInstall MSI package Software Deployment problem - Desktop Central
I am testing DC software deployment of MSI package which is created by using Scalable WinInstall LE. The Desktop Central task said "executed", but when I checked the client computer, the apps was not on start menu, not listed in "add remove programs" and no registry changes for the apps, however the apps folder was created in program files and apps can be run from there. I also tested the MSI package installation directly on the client machine and there was no problem at all. So I assume the package

Emails not being sent on Resolved since upgrading to 7604
When setting the Resolved status (either on the Request tab or the Resolution tab) the emails are not being sent to the user. All the configuration is correct as far as I can tell, sending emails works if I just reply to a request, but the notification rule for Resolved doesn't appear to be working.
appmanager truncating hostnames
We are running applications manager 8.6 (latest build). We experience the following problem: When adding a new remote host (eg. during the addition of a script monitor), if you enter a hostname that is (presumably) too long, it truncates the hostname - so thisisalongh.ostnamefor.com became "thisisalongh.ostnamefor.c".

Event Summary Reports in Cisco ASA
I have problem with Event Summary Reports and Cisco ASA. I see in „Event Summary” table "Information" severity with about 2000 events, but when I click on "Information" link and any ip address I see „No Data Found”. I don't have this problem with "Error" or "Warning" severity (I can see normal syslog informations). What is wrong ?
Searching for request information not producing results
We are experiencing some wierd behaviour when searching for information in requests. Before logging certain types of requests we search for a batch number that could already be reported. That way we don't report duplicate requests to update a batch. What we are finding that pretty much in all cases if the batch number is in the subject line the search will find it. Problems with long paths
We are looking to upgrade from 7016 to the latest version, before doing so we always backup the entire SupportCenter folder as a just in case. This time when we tried to do this we received a large number of warnings regarding file paths (examples below). Most of them seem to be in the <Drive letter>:\AdventNet\ME\SupportCenter\Patch\ It seems you are using very large file and folder names under this directory and it is rendering them unusable to Windows. Opmanager integration into Service Desk Plus
I have tried numerous times to integrate OpManager into SDP. Both products are on the most current builds, and I have followed the instructions for supplying domain credentials without success. Adding a device successful, but then not found in system
Since upgrading to build 8050 from 8025 I am unable to add any devices to the system. No errors on the upgrade and since we have not had any issues with general use / monitors or the website itself. We have an unlimited node license. Please help as I have new servers and a remote router that I must have monitored for compliance and statistical purposes. Regards, Ash
Error with Adtran Routers
After the installation of 8030, I can no longer rediscover the interfaces of our Adtran devices. Other routers do not seem to be effected. Has anyone experienced this? Thank you

After upgrading to 7.6.40 "Add new role" does not work
Within the Admin tab > Roles > add new role link stopped working after upgrade. The work around was to open an existing Role and go to "save and add a new"...this was the only way I could set up a new role.
Shutting down a domain server (to use a new named one) caused problems
We had cause to change the domain server for one of the windows domain. Once SD+ had started it's daily scan, we noticed that it hung, and we could not gain access. if we re-booted, we could gain access for a short time, and did have time to change the domain controller it needed to use for the 2nd windows domain. We continued to have issue for some time, before it finally came right. The issue seems to be that if a domain controller is not found when it starts it's scan, it does not fail gracefully
Backup scheduling problem
Hello, I have the following problem, the backup tool in help desk is not working. The last backup was on Feb 12th - 3:51 PM, the next one was supposed to be on Feb 13th but it didn't do it. So I manually change it to Feb 18th, we are currently on Feb 22th and still doesn't do it. The backup schedule is enable. Every is set to : 1 day.
