WinInstall MSI package Software Deployment problem - Desktop Central
I am testing DC software deployment of MSI package which is created by using Scalable WinInstall LE. The Desktop Central task said "executed", but when I checked the client computer, the apps was not on start menu, not listed in "add remove programs" and no registry changes for the apps, however the apps folder was created in program files and apps can be run from there.
I also tested the MSI package installation directly on the client machine and there was no problem at all. So I assume the package created by WinInstall LE has no problem or does it? I'm using WinInstall to automate the creation of MSI package for EXE based application that requires user intervention for installation, such as License input or component installed. I am no fan of script, that is why I use WinInstall to create MSI package for software deployment.
Is there anyone has any clue why DC software deployment behave like this????
