solution will not open
Hello, My users are reporting that they cannot open solutions when they click on the links? They open normally when I am logged on as administrator. Any idea? Thanks
Opmanager 8.700 Vmware & MSSQL
Dear all, I use OpManger without the VmWare & MSSQL options, I have downloaded the last version because I would like to test these options. Vmware : When I try to add Virtual host, I have this error message : An error occurred during the discovery of ESX. Contact support@opmanager.com MSSQL : when I add a new server with MSSQL 2005, OpManager doesn't detect MS SQL. In the forum I saw that SQLserverAgent must be started but I haven't this service in Windows services. I have created snmp & WMI credentials
Cant see reply icons
We updated to 7.6.0 7604 and now we have an empty space instead off a red or green email icon(reply), we can still see red and green but when the system have sent an email it is empty or when we forward something it is empty. Any solutions?
Execute Program Action is not working
I am using Applications Manager 8 installed on RHEL4. I have created a new action of Execute Program type. In the script there is some basic commands like echo, ls etc. But the script is not working. When I tried to manually execute it through button it showed "The action --- has been successfully executed", but actually nothing happened. is there any clue that I am missing?

Change port that traps are received on in OpManager 8
I recently had a problem with OpManager and in the end, had to shut it down, repair the DB, start and start it back up. When it started back up, it worked fine except I got this error: Port 162 needed for receiving traps has beed occupied. Please free the port. We only have a trial of opmanager right now, so the other program we are using for network monitoring is currently using port 162, but it can forward the traps to another port. So I am wondering if there is a way to change the port that
No Data Gathered in Availability Report
Hi, Would like to refer a problem we've just encountered in OpManager. Last July 3, 2010 we we're still able to received Availabilty Report for selected devices. But on July 4 and July 5, the report were no longer able to gather availability of these devices. The report was sent with no data in it. Your assistance is very much needed. Thanks in advance.
Enable AD login for support rep issue
Hi, I had 3 business units and was working on Snowden Internal business unit. (Snowden Internal, Neuroverse, Rio Tinto - Reconcilor) I changed business unit to Neuroverse and imported support reps and enabled AD login for them. I confirmed the support rep had business unit admin role only for Neuroverse. License Additional Fields - multi-line field not working
Hi I working with SD+ 7.6.0 Build 7608 When adding a mutli-line field as an additional field to the licences, this one is not displayed and I cannot enter data into it when editing a software licence. NetFlow Counting Twice the Bandwidth
We are trying to calculate how much bandwidth a particular IP is sending out of our network. We are testing this by downloading a 128MB file off the network. NetFlow Analyzer is however reporting 2+x as much traffic as the actual file being transferred. Is there any reason this could be happening, and if so is there anyway to prevent this? NOTE: I'm currently using the trial license.

Receiving alarms without monitor
Hi again! I am monitoring some printers. One of them has an alarm message that the toner level is 10% and the threshold value is 15%. The correct statement is that the toner level is 10%. But the threshold for this monitor is set to 5%. Therefore the alarm is wrong. I cleared the alarm. 5 minutes later it came up again. I cleared the alarm again and deleted the monitor. 5 minutes later it came up again. I remember that when I added the device (few months ago) I set up the threshold for the monitor
Opmanager 8.7
I couldn't actually download 8.7 via the upgrade links because the UK/Britain/Great Britain/England is not listed in the country drop down. Undeterred I downloaded it from the trial link and installed it, eager to see the support for vSphere 4. Irritatingly, it has only picked up our 12 vsphere servers as linux boxes, exactly the same as 8.5 did, I've rechecked the community strings are correct, which they are. Any ideas please?
Customer get a notification update when an internal note is added to a SR
Hi ManageEngine, The notification option "When the request is updated" configured in Admin tab - Notification Rules - Request tab - Contact Notifications - Acknowledge Contact by Email, sends an email to the contact even if the note added was internal (From within a SR - Actions - Add Note - leave unchecked "Show this notes to Contact also"). Service Desk Plus MSP start up on Boot in Fedora 13
I have successfully installed and done a test run of Service Desk Plus MSP 7.5.1 in Fedora 13. I have followed the steps in the following post : http://forums.manageengine.com/forumHome.do?forumGroupId=49000000002007&forumTopicId=49000002657457 But for some reason it does not start at boot up. I have tried several different things for several hours with no luck. Is that startup script in the post that I linked incorrect for this version of MSP? Please help. Thanks in advance. Nic Young

Adding Software As Product - Minor Version Doesn't Display All Items

Hi, do you have some product able to reproduce web, application and database transaction remotely? A customer has several branch offices and he would like to monitor the end-to-end performance of the web server, the application server and the database server from each branch office. I am already aware about the URL monitor within OpManager and Application Manager, but they are from the server prospective. I also know about the RBM monitor, but it is only for web server. Can't add downtime schedule with end time lesser than start time
Hi all, I want to add downtime schudule for out office time from 5.00 PM to 8.00 AM but when I try to set downtime frequency by every day and set time from 17:00 to 8:00 the program don't allow this value like pictue below. Now I try to split downtime to 2 downtime schedule like this: 1. from 17:00 to 23:45 2. from 00:00 to 8:00 On rule 1. I can't set end time 00:00 because I lesser than start time then I will loss 15 minute for this configuration, please kindly recommend

Multiline Additional Fields for Assets not showing correctly.
When I add Multiline Additional Fields to Assets they don't show up as multi line in the create/edit asset page. This is my additional field: It contains 4 lines in total: Fahrzeug Nr.: Fahrer Nr.: Cadis User: Barcodes: This is data I only need for our scanners - so I don't want to waste Additional Fields and make each one it's own field. This is how it looks in add/edit asset page: Scrolling doesn't work either. The problem is the way SD+ renders these fields: <td height="20" align="left"
Manually Asseting Software to System
Is there a way to manually assign a software license to a system? There are some systems that are either 1) unable to be scanned by ServiceDesk or 2) the software on the system is unable to be detected. This causes a problem when we need to know what system is using a certain purchased software. For instance, one product that we purchased is a plugin for another product. There is no way for ServiceDesk to pick up on the installation of the plugin, so the software shows as not installed even though
Wrong German translation in the Request Approval form
We realized - due to complaints of users - that there is a mistake in the German translation in the Request Approval form: In English, the request can be "Recommended" or Rejected" via radiobuttons. In German, the first button "Recommended" is wrongly translated into "Aktion". It sould read "Zustimmen" / "Freigeben" or something similiar... We are using ServiceDesk Plus 7.6 Build 7608. Desktop Central manage software licenses
Hi, a customer recently bought the Desktop Central software. He needs to manage software licenses but he has two problems: 1- the Microsoft office licenses are 1 for each PC and this is easy. The problem arise with Citrix users. Each user should have is own license. How they can count them? 2- they have several licenses for Lotus Clients no matter the version, unfortunately the DC counts each client version as a separate software. How they count the whole Lotus Clients installed instead? Thanks.

Issues monitoring Cisco Switches/Routers Interfaces
Hi, Last week I was able to monitor the cisco interfaces on our switches/routers. I now have the following issue: - No interfaces appear in the interface tab for the devices. If I press rediscover it finds the interfaces. I press add its states they are added but nothing appears in list. SNMP etc is working. Any ideas on what I need to check? Thanks John

E-mail Command Ampersand
Hi When logging requests with the e-mail command facility, it won't populate the site if its contains an ampersand. i.e. @@SITE=Blah & Blah@@ I have tried alternative ascii codes and do not wish to change the site name. It just doesn't populate the field. Any help would be appritiated? Thanks
Soon To Expire Password Notification Policy- Can't Add Specific OUs
Hi, I'm experiencing an issue where I specify a selected list of Organisational Units to apply the Soon to Expire Password Notification policy and when I save the policy and re-edit it, I find it reverts back to All OUs. I only want this policy to apply to specific OUs and there seems to be a bug in the product which will not let me do this. Any assistance would be appriciated. Cheers.
Request Custom Views are not properly working when SD is set to non-English
After the latest patch, Build 7608, finally the Custom Views do work again. Unfortunately we realized, that there is another issue: When configuring a Request Custom View, it is only properly saved & functioning, when the ServiceDesk Plus language has been set to "English" (by the User) However, the Custom Views do not work (get not applied) when created when the ServiceDesk Plus language is something else beside English (in our case it's German). I'd really appreciate if this could be solved
Stop timer NOT started when Requests are Resolved?
Hi, I've noticed some Requests go overdue immediately when requestors reply to resolved requests. Even though the Request was put into the resolved status before the due date, users who reply after the due date automatically make the request go overdue. It seems that the stop timer does not start when Requests are put on hold - is this correct? I appreciate I can use the settings under the Admin / Self-service portal settings to prevent requestors re-opening Requests with emails, but we like this
Issues of OpManager Build 8052 and ServiceDesk Plus Build 7608.
There is an issue of integrating both the applications. OpManager does no log auto-tickets in SDP. The dopcumentation says as follows:- "Since OpManager uses email as the mechanism to log a new ticket, you need to enable the “Email - to - Request” conversion feature in ServiceDesk Plus."
