Can't install DeviceExpert on Windows

Can't install DeviceExpert on Windows

Hi

I've downloaded the trial version of DeviceExpert and tried to install it. But it doesn't work.

My PC: Toshiba Laptop with 2GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo T1700, Windows XP Prof. SP3
Downloaded File: ManageEngine_DeviceExpert.exe  (File Version 2.11.15.0, 32'859 KB)

What I do: I double-click on ManageEngine_DeviceExpert.exe

What happens:
  1. Extracting Files.
  2. Opens 2 Windows: a DeviceExpert Window (blue color) + Installshield Wizzard Window.
  3. Then both windows disappear and nothing happens anymore.
  4. When trying to start installation again, step 1 and 2 happens again, but I get an error window in addition. This error window says: "The installShield Engine (iKernel.exe) could not be installed." After clicking ok step 3 happens again.
Examining:
  1. In the task manager I see IKernel.exe as a process. Killing the process gives another error message: "An error occurred while launching the setup. The remote procedure call failed."
  2. After killing IKernel.exe process and starting installation again, step 1 to 3 happens.
  3. There is no installation of the DeviceExpert, it never really started the installation.
To me it looks like something is broken in your installation routine.
