Forward Template not used when forwarding "Conversations"
Apparently the "Forward" template (Admin > Notifications) isn't referenced when forwarding a "Conversation". It works fine when forwarding the "Description", but not for subsequent conversations. Please confirm and address this issue as soon as possible. Thanks- Marc
Major Date-displaying Problem in SD+ 7.6 Build 7608
We realized there is a major issue with the dates (created on, due by, etc.) in requests in our ServiceDesk Plus 7.6. Build 7608 installation. See attached screenshots to get an idea what I mean (Today's date is 23.06.2010!):
EventLog Analyzer: configureAsService error
I'm trying to install EventLog Analyzer on Ubuntu 10.04. I selected the option to install it as a service, but an error occurred. When I checked the log, it shows this: .: 8: setcommonenv.sh: not found I opened the script and changed the line to "./setcommonenv.sh". [Forum RSS Feed] - Broken on june 22
Hi, I use the RSS feed to Opmanager forum for a while now and it works fine, but since this morning, I recieve feeds from all the forums, instead of only the Opmanager one, I looked for a few others feed and they now all return every forums, not only the specific one, as an example, http://forums.manageengine.com/opmanager/feed gives the same thing than http://forums.manageengine.com/desktop-central/feed or http://forums.manageengine.com/servicedesk-plus/report/feed I post it here
Remove LDAP Authentication
Hi, I used to use the Domain authentication. Today I made available the LDAP authentication I imported the users, so now I have every user twice (one with my domain, one without domain). But for my account, the LDAP one is selected and I don't have the administrator rights, like I had with my account with domain authentication. I don't have another admin account. Please help me to remove LDAP authentication and get back to Domain one!
Searching for Merged Request (Child)
Please can you advise how to search for a child request that has been merged? This has always been an issue for us but used to be able to search for the requests by changing the request numbr within the URL of another request. This no longer works since we have updated to version 7608 and is a major issue as requesters keep on quoting RequestID's that have been merged. Please could you advise ASAP. Thanks
Notification when use AD in Servicedesk
My configuration is setting to “Enable Active Directory Authentication”. When I authentic using Active Directory , after create a request, the notification of assignment to the technician and the close notification (to requester) doesn´t work. The notification of Acknowledge Requester works fine. When I authentic local (not using AD) in server with user administrator all notifications works fine. Help

SSO Broken after upgrade to 7.6.04 in Servicedesk Plus
2/12/2010 I upgraded Servicedesk Plus from 7.6.02 to 7.6.03 then 7.6.04. Single Sign On worked fine for the brief time I was running 7.6.03 and it was working in 7.6.02 and before. When I upgraded to 7.6.04 Single Sign on doesn’t work. I’ve restarted the service a couple times without success. Every time I load my browser it just comes to the login screen. I can successfully login if I type in my credentials but I cannot get it to do it automatically. I didn’t change anything in the SSO

For some reason I'm getting all the posts in the Desktop Central and PMP forums coming through in the RSS feed from SC+ - can someone please fix this quickly as it's making it very difficult to differentiate which forums the posts relate to and therefore whether or not I have to worry about it in SC+. Windows Service Monitoring is showing the wrong executable
Is there a way to delete a Windows service as being remembered? So it does not show up when I go to add monitor from the device snapshot page. Here's an example of my problem. I was originally monitoring a windows service named "WebApp" that was run by executable "WebApp.exe". After performing an update to the application that runs this service the name is still "WebApp" but the executable is now "WebApplication.exe". WAN RTT - strange number of tests
Hi, I installed the OpManager 8070 demo. I configured a Cisco 3800 to run IP SLA tests. Then I configured 5 WAN RTT tests. The strange thing is that the number of columns is different test to test. Hi, I'm working on "resetting" my whole opmanager setup by installing on a new server, I'm creating a complete new Opmanager setup from scratch on a new MSSQL Server. I created a new "normal" setup with the default database, wich will be my next production Opmanager. I created a second opmanager database on the same server but the apps files are on a Virtual PC, on wich I plant to test the things I do instead of testing on the production server, so I dont get stuck with test values
Unable to install Netflow Analyzer plug-in
We are trying to evaluate the NetFlow Analyzer plugin for OpManager. After installing Netflow Analyzer plug-in for Opmanager and copying bcp.exe and bcp.rll into the NetFlow/bin directory. OpManager errors out with a few tables have become corrupt message upon restart. Running repairdb does not resolve the issue. Opmanager build 8052 and NetFlow Analyzer plug-in version 7700 Your help would be greatly appreciated. Rob

Monitor ESX 3.5 SSH - Did not receive identification string
I am trying to monitor an ESX 3.5 host using SSH on Opmgr build 8052. This error is on the ESX host: Jun 22 11:57:10 servername sshd[27815]: Did not receive identification string from ip address. I have not found a solution anywhere in the forums for this issue.

At input of Cyrillic characters in the field of search of the client there is an error The error occurs at editing of many fields, not only by search. The problem appears only at logon through the external address (www.myadress.ru). At an input through a local area network (licalhost:8080) - all is normal. Unable to generate the report
Im trying to do any report and my Support Center return the message: Dear User, Unable to generate the report. So please contact supportcenter support for further... I realize, when I restart the SupportCenter Server I can use the report once and after this, when I try do another report (any report, inclusive the standard reports), the error appears. NetFlow Integration with OpManager Sign In Under NetFlow Traffic Statistics
I have integrated NetFlow with OpManager. When I go to look at the NetFlow Traffic Statistics in OpManager I am prompted for a Sign In to NetFlow. I type my credentials (for the Admin account) and they are not accepted - the Sign In screen comes back again. I tested the connection using the Add-On/Products Integration screen for NetFlow Settings with the "Test Connection and Save" button and the status comes back Successfully tested. Suggestions on how to fix this?

Request Notification Email - Description Field Error
A technician reported that the notification regarding a new request seemed to have errors. This error is listed when you hover over the job in the Service Desk where the description contains error information. Windows 7 ServiceDesk connectivity issue
I am having trouble using the ServiceDesk Plus and Win7 desktop machines. When trying to open the website to post a helpdesk request, I dont get anything. I have tried by IP and name. every single Win 7 computer is having this issue. All of the Win XP machines still work fine so it has to be a security setting that is enabled by default. Hi! I think I've found a little bug but it is not urgent for me. I just want to let you know it. I've created a new user with "read only access" and selected "Only the selected Business Views". I didn't choose any business view. I've logged in with this new user account and had to assess that there where no alarms shown (because of the non given rights). Business Rule Fetching Details
I recently modifed by business rules to state if request type = none to assign the request to a group. I've found after doing this that I cannot access my business rules anymore. If I delete them and recreate them without the request type=none, it works ok. I need to include the request type=none because the rule isn't executing properly because the request type is not mandatory on our request templates. Event Log Analyzer cannot start
Hi everyone, the evaluation period of my Event Log Analyzer installation was expired. The program automatically switch to free edition and I was able to cllect logs from 5 hosts. After a server reboot the service starts normally but if I connect to the web client I received the "page unavailable" message. Unable to restore a backup to a different server

Unable to add Monitor OID with index value
I am trying to add a monitor to a device template. The MIB for the monitor in question references an index value. There are multiple sensors of the same type, in this case temperature sensors for an APC UPS. To get data for a specific sensor, I need to reference the index value of the probe in the OID. How do I change the SNMP OID value for the monitor to add an index? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Memory Leak
I have build 8052 and it appears to have a memory leak which happens about every 3 days of continous running. I restart the service for OpManager and my problem goes away for another few days. I need to get this resolved.
cannot forward mail containing an image
Hi When sending a mail from a request (by clicking forward or reply button underneath the request desciption), and when the description of the request is containing an image, we get a 'Sending notification failed.' error. The mail is not sent then. We have to remove the image from the mail. The mail is sent out then. Thanks for any help Marc
Custom Monitor aving multiple sub-OID

I created a template but I found that the Juniper CPU and Memory OIDs are not leaf but they have sub-OIDs one for each chassis instance: fan, power supply, Routing Engine, Forwarding Engine and so on. Obviously the CPU is applicable only for the RE or FE not for a fan or a powr supply! This is the same for the memory. Unable to add MIB for APC UPS
We are trying to configure OpManager to manage an APC UPS and to report environment variables. I have downloaded the latest MIB from APC, but after loading it, I can't access the MIB in OpManager. Every time I try to access it, I get a message "A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive". I have options to stop running the script. If I choose to keep runing the script, I keep getting the dialog box over and
Printing a Request prints only half of the text, because of the scrolling area
When in a Request and navigating to Actions > Print Preview, all the Request-text is being displayed in a scrolling area. Internet Explorer is not capable of printing this inline-scrolling-area correctly. Workaround is, to select the text one wants to print manually. But this is a very unconvenient solution. You should fix the Print Preview-dialog in order not to use any scrolling areas.
