Software Distribution for Google Apps Sync for Outlook
Hi, I have been trying to get Google Apps Sync to install on a remote computer via desktop central using the template package, but I keep running into this issue. I have also tried setting up my own package, but with the same results. I have also attached the install log file of the install. I cannot find where the error is. Thanks!
Remote Control Issues
Hi All, Please help as I'm starting to get really annoyed with the Remote Control facility in Desktop Central. On connecting to machines, sometimes my mouse or keyboard will not work, so even though I can see the remote screen I can't select or type anything to it. Even pressing the CTRL+ALT+DEL button will at times not work. I've tried using Chrome and IE, both the ActiveX or java plugin options, but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong and has anyone else experienced similar issues? thanks
Terminal Server performance ideas?
I tried installing this on a few terminal servers (Windows 2003) and it caused major slowdowns. Has anyone else used DesktopCentral on TS? What about terminal servers with Windows Server 2008? Is that better?

Is it possible or would you consider including the last reboot (date/time) in the scanned information from a workstation/server?
MDM Execution status - Failed
Hi I am trying to set up Desktop Central v9, MDM I have created and published a simple windows phone 8.1 policy, and associated it to the windows phone corporate group. It does not apply to my test windows 8.1 phone, and the execution status says failed, and the comment says 404 : Name I cannot see what that error is and how to fix it. Can anyone help? Thanks
Java deployment - "Error occurred while downloading the required files."
I have deployed Java 7 Update 65 (32-bit) to 239 machines in our organization. There are 150 successful and only 5 failed which doesn't concern me to much at this point. There are 32 machines that are in retry status and the majority of these machines show message " Error Occurred while downloading the required files." I have seen this message on a few other deployments as well and I am not sure if the problem is from the Desktop Central Server or the Distribution Server. Has anyone run into this
Inventory summary not up to date
Hi, I have noticed an issue over the last few days that the inventory summary will not update. I click generate summary, and it says it is successful. Unfortunately, after refreshing the error is still there. Computers still have old software in their inventory. It appears to update newly added software.
Custom Static User Group not shown in list of available target groups?
Hello, We have DC8 and I've created a Custom Static Group of users successfully and it shows in the list of Custom Groups in the Admin area where I created it, but when I am modifying my configuration and attempting to target this group and select domain\custom group\browse, my Custom Static User Group does NOT show in the list for me to select. I have done this successfully at least once, but have tried several other times and have not been able to get my Custom Group to show in the available list
Where is download for 90044?
Today I was told to download hotfix 90044 for Desktop Central, but the download page only shows 90033. Where does one get 90044? Larry
Be able to set the package installation order for a configuration
When creating a configuration with multiple packages it would be great if you could set the package installation order. Some applications require additional installs of addons and bit so setting the order would be great. Another example is we use a configuration for setting up new computers, the configuration contains the packages for all of the software that will be installed on the computer but some things need to be install before other things.
Adobe Reader 11.0.0.7 in Spanish
Is there a way to obtain a package in Spanish such as Adobe Reader 11.0.0.7 or is there a way to create the template package in Spanish? We have some end users that primarily speak Spanish and I am in need of updating their adobe. I have no problems with the English version. I have been trying to figure out how to set this up but I am not having any luck. Any help would be greatly Appreciated.
How do I determine the offending application that won't download
Hello, I believe my web filter is preventing me from downloading some updates. Is there a way I can tell which application is being blocked? I'm getting the "Draft - Download Failed" error." Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, Since we have installed DesktopCentral MSP v. 9.0.0 with Build No.:90043, we realized that some options have disappeared from the control panel. First, logging with the customer admin user, there are no button to remove computers from the list. This option only appears with the admin user. Also, there aren't option to create dynamic groups neither the option to create a new configuration. Are there any patch to solve this or which solution? Thanks!!!

Computers are all selected by Default in Tools>Remote Shutdown
We use the Restart Now feature to restart specific PCs. Recently, all the PCs in our system are automatically checked when opening the Remote Shutdown windows. Happens in all browsers (IE, FF and Chrome). This selection crosses pages and it appears ALL PCS are selected. Is this some admin setting somewhere that we changed and can change back? Software Deployment doesn't invoke Windows Restart Manager
We have an application that integrates with Windows Restart Manager (our client PCs are Windows 7 machines) to allow automatic shutdown and restart of the running application (and not the entire computer) when updates are installed. The installer is MSI-based and we usually install it with the command line "VVC_patient.msi /quiet /l log.txt" which correctly triggers Restart Manager to shut down the application and restart it (the new version) afterwards, completely silent and with no "files in use"
Fix time setting on Desktop Central server
Can anyone help fix the time on my Desktop Central server? There is a post about running a java script, but it does not work. The post about this not working indicates to contact support. I did, but have not heard anything for a few days now. The server which this is running on has the correct time on it. However, the time stamp within the application is more than 3 hours in advance of real time. Thanks for any help you can provide. Chris
Windows Update settings with Automated Patch Deployment
What should the local Windows settings be for Windows Update if using the automated patch deployment feature of Desktop Central? I do not want to have a conflict with 2 patching methods. If Desktop Central policy is applied does it override the local settings or GPO that may be applied.

Apple iPad Air not enrolling in MDM
We purchased several new iPad Air devices and they will not finish the enrollment process. We can do the self enrollment, email enrollment and Apple Configurator. However, after the initial certificate is enrolled, the device does not show up in the list of devices. It does not install the other profiles from the server either. Unable to upgrade to 90033
I am trying to upgrade from Desktop central 80295 to 90033 without much success. First, I tried upgrading from 80295 to 90002 using the upgrade pack. Once I did this, I tried starting the Desktop Central server and it just hangs in a 'Starting' state .. never starts or gives out an error. Next, I restored my 80295 from backup. Hi, Can you add "last successful scan" to the filter options When I look at the different systems missing patches I can add the column, last successful scan, however I cant filter for it. Has there been any thoughts on adding a chat capability to DC? We have several technicians and it would be nice if there were a built in chat capability where we could all collaborate. Dynamic Group Deployment Issues
Hi, I had a Dynamic Group set up based on whether or not a particular software was installed. This Dynamic Group had 18 computers in it. When I used this group as a target for a software deployment configuration, my configuration went out to over 90 computers as soon as I deployed it. It was as if the configuration completely ignored my target group and instead deployed to all computers. I do not understand why this would happen. Thanks

After Deploying patches computer asks for restart
I configured patching for windows 7 pcs, I chose the option "Do not reboot", even that the standard message of windows update which requires user to restart appears for users, some other pcs do not have this appear, I don't want it to appears to users. Can this be accomplished?
After upgrade to 9, local authentication is default login
We just upgraded to the latest version and local authentication is the default box on the main login page. I've looked and we don't have any local authenticated users. We want the domain to be the default choice. It was working as intended before the upgrade. Please advise on a fix. Thanks.
Uninstall software that requires password
Hi, We have in our company a number of software's that are restricted and requires a password to change settings and also uninstall. I had no problem installing these, however uninstall seems a bit tricky due to the password process- Anyone have a work around to this, is there a way to specify the password in DC and run the uninstall?

Daily Notifications of 'Addition of Hardware Detected' on hardware that has already been detected.
