Script (VBS) still being referenced in registry after being deleted with a configuration
Every login gets a "script not found" even though the configuration was demoted and then the script deleted. How can we clean up the registry automatically?

Using Desktop Central is there anyway to deploy .reg files to a user? Other App Deploy programs I have used have allowed this but not been able to see it on Desktop Central.

There are times when I would like to install specific software to specific users. When I select the option to allow users to skip installation, it comes up with a very generic prompt - but I do not see a method of modifying. Issue with filtering inventory reports after V9 Upgrade
Greetings, After upgrading to Version 9 (build 90001), we are having a problem with filtering inventory reports. We are using the standard "Computers with/without a specific Software" report. Once selecting the software (specifically, all machines without Java 7 update 55) We generate the report and then try and filter the results by computer name. In reports, this does not work (after hitting enter or pressing the go button, nothing happens). When doing basically the same thing under Scope
Mac - Adobe Air 13.0 update fails and mac office patch 14.4.1
hi desktop central 80362 detects that our mac computers have an update for Adobe Air (v4 to v13 update) and it downloads the patch but during the update it returns the status failed i have manually installed the adobe air update on one of my macs and it works fine what could be the cause of this failed message, anyone else seeing this Also when will the latest mac office patch be supported, it has been out for nearly 1 month now, the last supported update was 14.3.9 many thanks
Is Build 90001 the same as Desktop Central 9?
I just upgraded build version 90001. Is that the same thing as Desktop Central 9? The software still says Desktop Central 8. If it is not the same thing, then having a version number 90001 at the same time as version 9 is very confusing. If 90001 is version 9, the graphic in the left hand corner should change to say Desktop Central 9. The login screen says 9. The main question is will Java updates now work?

Software-Inventory shows WRONG installation date for Java installation
DC tells me that "Java 7 Update 55" has been installed on two computers in January 2014 which is impossible because this Java patch is available since Apr 16 2014. I get this wrong information in my custom report that shows me the Java installations of all computers together with their installation date. I hope someone can help me out. I am a little confused on patch configurations. When I manually deploy patches a configuration is always created. What can I do with these configurations? For example can a patch configuration be reused? Can it be scheduled? Or am I looking at patch configurations the wrong way. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

For example, I pulled an inventory and I notice that there are 7 different variations of Firefox. Need VBS script to rename PC via DC
Romanus in 2009, posted a how to on renaming a PC but I do not understand how to implement it. https://blogs.manageengine.com/product-blog/desktopcentral/2009/04/13/rename-remote-computer-using-desktop-central.html I do know how to implement a VBS script that has an argument to change the Workgroup. Romanus provided that to me last year. None of the PCs are AD joined. The PC workgroup name varies between PCs. Is it possible to get a VBS script that I can use to change the Computer name. Below
Remote Control
Since updating to Desktop Central 9 we haven't been able to remote control anyones PC. I did some troubleshooting and have narrowed the problem down to java. I can remote control people using IE and using the ActiveX remote control but cannot connect using the Java one. I have tried the Java one in both IE and Chrome.
IE Patch Release Inetcpl.cpl error
Good Morning, We released through Desktop Central the IE patch from blletin MS14-021 last night and about 5-10 machines so far this morning can't use IE. They are all getting the attached error regarding inetcpl.cpl and we are having to roll them back. Again, only 5-10 but more might pop up. Any ideas?? This was definitely the patch that caused this.

Yesterday , I installed via the service pack install to 90001 version .....Big Mistake I created a back up of the server, ran the update. It apparently updated all the DC Clients overnight but I cannot gain access to it via http://<servername>:8020/configurations.do it will not allow me to login, admin/admin are the default login but the web browser blinks, and briefly reloads, then no response. it will not go past the login screen. Hi, We have about 10 desktops with MS Office 2013. These desktops are not directly connected to the Internet hence they rely on desktop central to push through the patches. Desktop Central Custom Group / Dynamic By IP range
Good Afternoon, I was wondering if it has been considered the creation of Custom Groups based on IP range. For example I very often setup a functino of groups as a /24. Or we assign resources doing function X to 4 diffrent Class 24s. I would think from a custom layout you would want to to have the option of 1.) CIDR 2.) Range 3.) Java 7 Update 55 Template
Java 7 Update 55 was released on April 15th, 2014. Is there a timeline available when it will be added to the Software Deployment repository? I have an application that won't run because of the way java expires previous versions. most of them I can deploy a custom java config to the machines so it doesn't check for expiration, but this app loads a new applet with every update that checks for the current version. Lenovo seem to have implemented CAPTCHA and have broken the warranty lookup
I started to get warranty lookup errors on Lenovo PC's. I went the manual warranty check site (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-service/warranty-status/default.page) and they have added a CAPTCHA at the bottom. I'm guessing this is what is hosing the Desktop Central lookup?

We want to name our android device using the Device Name. We setted a Device Name on the smartphone and we noticed that the device name on MDM is differnt (username+device model) Is there a field that contain the device name, setted on the phone, on MDM? Patch already installed -- but Desktop Central try to install
Hello, don´t know, if there is a way to suppress such warnings or better question, if there are patches already installed, why try the Desktop Central to install such Patches? Hello, I would like to setup a dynamic group in Desktop Central that automatically adds computers to the group based on the first 2 characters of the computer name. We have various departments and name the computers as such, for example: IT dept - IT04xxxx Hospital Services - HS06xxxx Client Services - CS06xxxx Can I make a dynamic group that will automatically add any computer name starting with "HS"? How to create a Collection of multiple custom Configurations
Hi, I am new to DC, so I may be asking a question with an obvious answer. I have created several custom Configurations for when I add a new computer to our domain - from installing a network printer to installing Office.
