Remote uninstall of software not installed through Desktop Central

Remote uninstall of software not installed through Desktop Central

I just installed this software and am hoping to use it for a small business of 18 or so workstations and laptops.  I had a few questions:

1)  Is there a easy way to do a software deployment directly from the Inventory screen?  For example, I pulled an inventory and I notice that there are 7 different variations of Firefox.  Would I would like to do is select all of these computers from the inventory and them choose to deploy Firefox 29.0 for example.  I didn't see an easy way to do this so I had to write down the machine names and then create a separate deployment and add them back in.  Am I missing something?

2)  Is there a way to just uninstall an application that was not installed through Desk Central?  For example. it would be nice to just select the software in the Inventory and remove it.  I find of found a workaround by making the software "Prohibited" and then rebooting the machines but that seems like the wrong way to do it.  It would be nice also if I could just chose a machine and uninstall software remotely.

So far other than that it has some pretty easy tools.  We have Shavlik for patch management and may just stick with that for patching, but the tools in this application seem easy for a small business to use.
