We have a new person starting with us, and they are having problems using the ActiveX Viewer on their computer. They can still use the Java Viewer, but the ActiveX Viewer doesn't work for anyone who logs into this computer including domain administrators.
Here are some things that I've already checked:
* ActiveX security settings are applied by group policy, gpresult shows that the correct group policies are applying to this computer.
* The security settings listed
here are set to 'enable' in the group policy object that applies ActiveX security settings.
* When I compare the affected computer with a computer where the ActiveX Viewer is working, I can see that the ActiveX security settings are identical, the browser version (IE9) is identical, and the version of Java is identical (version 6 update 6).
* I've tried clearing the temporary internet files, the Java cache, and I've reset the browser defaults several times.
Any assistance you can give in this matter would be greatly appreciated, as I can't think of anything else to try and fix this issue.
