MDM Exchange profile deployment on Android
Recently I noticed that you fix the issue in deploying an exchange profile on an android device. The issue was a problem with password field that if I left empty in the profile, on the device I received a credential error and I can only delete or retry. Now it works, but only if the device is connected in the same LAN, if I am outside the company I didn't receive the forms to fill the password on the device. Thanks Regards Stefano

HTML5 viewer ultra slow
Hey! Today's patch introduced HTML 5 viewer for remote controlling computers, but it is ultra slow, it needs 5 seconds to do anything. Remote cursor is slowly following my mouse, and when I click on anything, it needs 5 seconds to accept that click. both computers are good, i3, ssd, 4gb ram, and connected by 100 mbps link, so it is not hardware issue. Problem with copied files (exe) - security warning
Hello @all when copying a exe-file like the new PuTTY.exe to our clients via DC, the users (and I) get a security warning like "The publisher could not be verified. Do you want to execute the Software?" I can press execute but I cannot remove the checkbox "Prompt before every startup" without administrative privileges (folder is in C:\Programfiles)! I already have added the DC Server to trusted Sites in Internet Explorer Security settings: "\\servername" Does anyone have a good solution for this
File/Folder Report (?)
Hello @all, I am wondering if there is any possibility to check all systems/certain systems for the existence of a specific file or folder? I could have needed such a feature a few times by now. As far as I see the reports only access already "collected" data (information about computers and software)? So asking to collect completely new information the reports cannot help..(?) Scope of Management - Add Computers option does nothing and won't let me add computers.
When I am in Scope of Management and I click on Add Computers the Add Computers page comes up. I click on Select Computers for my domain. The Select Computers dialog box opens and when I navigate to the computer I want to add I check the box. When I click ok at the bottom to add the computer it does nothing. I tried to add the name to the Selected Computers option at the bottom and it does nothing either. Any help would be much appreciated. Ed
Workstations with error "Asset Scanning is locked" on the Computer Audit Summary section on the Inventory Tab
Good Afternoon, I recently fixed about 7 machines that were showing in the Computer Audit Summary Failed section with error Asset Scanning is Locked on the Inventory tab. I used the instructions from the KB article and so far only 1 machine would not work. I did a wipe and reload on the machine which seems to have solved the problem. Since then I have done about 5 more and then just last week I did about another 5 and I was down to 1 machine and now I am back up to about 5 again. I am not sure what
Remote Control does not work on large displays
I have had problems remoting into computers with large displays. The issue arises if any user has the screen size set to "larger 150%". It also arises if the users resolution is WQHD, 2560 x 1440. That is the only resolution that I have been able to try above 1920 x 1080. As we are deploying more laptops with WQHD, 2560 x 1440 resolution and many users use the larger 150% size in order to see the screen clearly, this is becoming problem for us. Telecommuting staff monitoring and services with DC professional
What is the best way or architectures to support our telecommuting staff? Do we need a distribution server? or can direct connect (https) handle 150 plus users that are remote? I need the same functionality for the remote users that I have with the LAN users. Is the WAN client available with the professional version or will we need to upgrade? I would like to hear/ see how other cutomers' have this configured.

web interface not reachable after adding SSL
Hi, After we activate and installe the SSL certificates in the settings of Desktop Central the page will not load on port 8120 (http) or 8122 (https). The service is running at both ports. Even when we change the ports we still have this problem (we also try to login on the server it selves/so no firewall problem) Is there a solution to remote/change the settings off SSL certificates? It's installed on Microsoft 2008 server, iis 7.5 Or an otherway or solution to fix this so we can login to Desktop

Hi, in my company a need to have one configuration based per user and comp. I don't wish to have two configuration one per user user based one for computer becouse if something have to stop how it will impact in two configuration. Is it possible when somebody's usb is blocked and when he put USB stick in pc he got a pop up message "You are not allowed to have .... contact please..." I am trying to install Desktop Central Remote control component on a windows 10 machine running google chrome version 46.0.2490.86 m. I get to the screen that asks to install the remote control component. I click on Download & Install but nothing happens. Any suggestions?
Remote User Self Install
I need a way to allow remote users to download the necessary files and self install the Desktop Central Agent Can someone outline the nest practices for me? Using tray icon to send help desk emails
I can send help desk tickets with the tray icon when I am logged in the pc. How do I setup this feature for everyone? It fails when anyone else tries to use it when they are logged on. I am sure this is simple but not sure why it only works for me. Thanks, Marc

I am in the process of counting users and devices for a Microsoft contract order. Is there any guidance on how to best use Desktop Central to assist on counting? Script copying to %localAppData% does not copy to correct directory
Hi, I have a custom script that copies file from a network share to the %LocalAppData% directory of the logged in user. When I deploy through Desktop Central instead of copying to %localAppDat% or c:\users\xxx\appdata\local\yyy it copies to C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Local\yyy Is there anyway to make the script execute as the local logged in user instead of the system user

Hello, I am super-happy to see the "Self Service Portal" beeing implemented in the newest build! :) Unfortunately I haven't found a setting to disable the Desktop Icon for SSP, which gets generated with the client agent update. I would like to check the new feature before I publish the feature to all users and I want to prevent the user from clicking into ssp as long as I haven't published the feature officially. Uninstall Office 2007
Has anyone used offscrub07.vbs to uninstall Office 2007 from Desktop Central? If I run it local, it runs fine and does its job, if I push it with Desktop Central I get a error not enough perms to access registry..... Any ideas?

I am trying to create a office 2010 package I have created a .msp file by following the documentation on how to create this package. Under the part adding the package in Desktop Central it says Specify the Preinstalltion script as : 7za.exe x-y "Office2010Pro.7z". I am unsure where do I specify this this script. I tried it under pre deployment activities but got an error saying that it couldn't find the script.

Hello @ all, I stumbled across a problem when I wanted to add licensing information to DesktopCentral: For Example: Adobe Creative Cloud. There are subscriptions for single products, i.e. Photoshop, and then there are subs for the whole suite (all products). Let's say I have 15 subscriptions. 5x Photoshop & 5x AfterEffects & 5x whole suite. So as far as I see now, I have to add licensing information for every single Adobe Cloud product? help importing CSV file (asset import wizard)
I have a CSV file with just server names. The file is formatted is such: server1,server2,server3,server4 When I load the CSV file, I'm required to use the drop-down menu to pick a column for workstation name and model. First - I thought CSV files don't have columns...they are just text (left to right) separated by a comma. So, how can I have a header for workstation name and model?? DC Shortcut, "Icon File"
We are trying to learn how to use the "Icon File" feature of the Configuration / shortcut creation. Our customer is requiring a specific icon to be displayed on shortcut creation. The help documentation indicates to "browse and choose" an icon file, but this is not possible. How can we use this "Icon File" field to upload and display a specific icon for the newly created shortcut?
MYSQL database filling up hard drive
We are having an issue with Desktop Central filling up the D: drive. After investigating, we found that the ibdata1 file is 30.5 GB and growing. Is there a way to either trim this database down, or slow down it's growth? We have patch management and AD reporting turned on. Thanks, Dave
Cannot add Powershell script to the repository
I am trying to add a powershell script to the repository with the .ps1 extension which it says is supported. In the add script to repository menu the only boxes I get are script name and description. When I try to browse to the network share, it will not see the script. If i try to manual add the FQDN, it says it is not a valid script name, "\\SERVER\Scripts\Autodesk Inventor2014-64.ps1" Thanks, -Ben

Package deploy issue.
I created a software deploy package to install a simple .exe application. The deploy did complete successfully but the configuration status still says "ready to execute". I verified the program was installed on the destination computer. How can I fix this? I need to see the status so I can monitor the push to over a 1000 computers. I have made other packages that install and report back correctly.

On the MDM Location Data screen highlight if the device has not signed it's location in a long time
Hi, The new Location Data view you recently added to MDM is great however it would be great if devices that that had not synced their location in a long period of time were highlighted. For example in the screenshot below I have two Apple devices, one last shared its location 2 mins ago and the over was over 30 days ago. You can click on them to get the data but something like changing the background colour of the icon would be good. Thanks

Slow response when deploying software
Once I have updated Desktop Central to the latest Build, do I have to do anything with the client machines? When I ran the Scan Systems option under Patch Management, it found the client was out of date on all the machines, but has since updated them automatically. The reason for the question is I have tried pushing software out to a couple of machines since the upgrade and whereas before it would be near enough instant (using Deploy Immediately) it seems to stay on 'Status: Ready to Execute' even

I have updated my automatic patch deployment jobs to run separately for my remote office sites. I have noticed for the last week that my exclusions are showing as failures. I exclude the servers and update those manually at least for now.Why do they show as failed instead of not applicable. Ed
Forcing Mac Agent to contact server
Is there any way to initiate communications to either the distribution server or the primary server, using the command line on a Mac? Recently we ran into an issue where we needed to push something out via DesktopCentral immediately (remote script to update a standardized password), and saw that many of the computers are online, but were never pushed the script.
