Hi AdSupport! It would be very useful to have more reports under Monitor Groups. At the moment i can choose: Availability of all Monitors Health of all Monitors Response Time of all Monitors Alerts of all Monitors But it would be very useful to have additional reports in monitor Groups to see whats going on in this group with one view(click): :D This reports i missing: CPU Usage of all Monitors Memory Usage of all Monitors Disk Usage of all Monitors It would be also nice to see the report with bar
URL Sequence, alert for match content
How can I add multiple phrases on the control panel for alerting me if the keywords are found? Would a comma separator be enough to sperate multiple phrases/words? For example, I want the monitor to alert me if it found the phrase "Server is unavailable", or if it finds "Communication problem" or...etc.
Need location of archive of older versions of appmanager
I need the location where I can get version 6600 Service Pack : 6.0 of Appmanager. I called earlier today and got the instruction for moving from one server to another, but it requires that appmanger versions be the same. We are not upgrading the older machine to the newest code, upgrades will be done on the newer machine. Kindly do the needful and provide the web address for the archives for applications manager

Remote Script Monitor problem
Hi, When setting up a remote script monitor, I'm having some issues... - ssh connection is not working. I can't create the monitor because AppManager can't connect. SSL key issue maybe? - using telnet, it can connect and create the monitor, but it does not run automatically. When clicking Edit then Save, it suddenly says it can't connect, and to "check host settings". Host settings are inaccessible. - How do I remove and/or edit hosts from the Remote Scripts host drop-down? Very frustrating. Thanks
PDF incomplete to see in Scheduler reports
Hi, Im evaluating App Manager and the PDFs send by scheduler reports are showing incomplete for the summary type report. The bottom part for the disk occupancy appears incomplete in the PDF. Is there any way to fix this ? Is it possible the PDF use 2 pages instead 1 to show the reports complete? thanks in advance.. Omar.
SMTP Server Problem
Hi, I add a monitor on a mail server. There already have a monitor on the Exchange on this server, put I have more than one serveur SMTP, POP and IMAP on. That's why I want to monitor all the server. Unfortunatly, the monitor saw the server offline whereas I can make a telnet on the port 25, 110 and 443 and it answers perfecly. The server have 4 IP adresses: 172.20.100.100 (SMTP, IMAP, POP) <- want monitoring 172.20.100.101 (SMTP, IMAP, POP) <- The Exchange monitor did it 172.20.100.103 (SMTP) 172.20.100.102
Custom Reports
Hi there, I have been asked to generate some Custom Reports based on the Monitor Groups and server's uptime and availability within Business Operating hours ONLY (8 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST). I cannot seem to do this with the Reporting functionality you currently have. Hi i would like to know how depth does the root cause analysis will do to indicate the error that cause the downtime? like for example a apache server having a downtime cause by web pages script error or db connection, would this kind of error (usually will go to error.log) will be define clearly on the root cause analysis or just a 404 message ??
from address of reports
when creating an e-mail with pdf attachement , the from address of the e-mail seems to allways be the same as the to address. This is a bit confusing and not very helpful when trying to sort e-mails every day. is their a way to customize the from address of these e-mails?

Definition of Response Time
When I'm configuring a monitor for IIS, I realized from the statistics (shown in AppManager) that during the last 7 days, my IIS server Response Time is always above 4000 ms. So, I wonder how AppManager defines Response Time. From the IIS log, the only hit coming from my AppManager server is a get to the root web. Is this how AppManager calculates Response Time? If yes, then I wonder why AppManager gets >4000ms while if I hit manually using a browser it is always fast (less than 1 second). If no,
Problem with monitoring disks in AIX
Hi I have problem with monitoring disks I/O stats in AIX 5.3. Other things like CPU, MEM works fine but under disks I/O stats i see: No data available !!! I am using SSH connection and root proviliges. I see "iostat -d" in the system, "iostat -x" doesn't work. (parameter "x" doesn't exists under AIX) Please, help me Pawel

I am trying to monitor a URL but keep getting an authentication error. How can I turn off the username/password authentiction feature? When I make the monitor I see this area for authentication in advanced but leave it unpopulated. I keep getting an error when I check the page that the page load fails due to failed authentication. Hi App-Support! I�ve many monitors and sometimes Application Manager brings an Availability Error, monitored server xy is not responding, but if i manually ping the server xy everything is ok. On the second poll AppManager brings an ok message. I think the ping which AppManager send on every poll is in our big environment to sensitive, is it possible to "tune/tweak" this? My workaround now is to set up "Poll 2 times consecutively before reporting the monitor is down" under "Configure Alerts", but

Schedule reports mail subject bug
Hello, I've noticed a strange thing - all new reports I create are sent with "-Schedule Reports" appended to the subject. Eg. a report named "Daily availability report - all sites" is received as "Daily availability report - all sites- Schedule Reports". The message body itself is fine (contains "Schedule Name Daily availability report - all sites"). This only happens to new reports; the old ones work properly. Any ideas how to fix this? It looks very unprofessional.

Monitoring Service accout getting lcked out!!!
Hi, We are using our monitoring generic id in Appliactions Manager monitoring. From yesterday evening it is getting locked out frequently. We are sure that this is due to some wrong password supplied in Appliactions Manager. It is quite impossible to go and reconfigure the password for our 600+ monitors. disk i/o for windows servers
I have activated the disk i/o statistcs option in the admin section but am not seeing i/o stats in the windows monitors. the feature was activated several days ago so the servers have polled many many times since then. any thoughts as to why i am not getting disk i/o statistics in my windows monitors? SSH sessions left over on monitored linux machine
I'm monitoring many linux machines via SSH, and on all of them it appears that AppManager is not closing its sessions when it logs in to perform its checks. I have dozens of sessions on each box, all of them initiated roughly 5 minutes apart. Can I do anything to fix this?
New version wont run in other browsers only ie.
Unable to run app manager web gui in anything other than ie. If I try it in netscape the browser carshes and the same with opra. Please fix as our main monitoring boxes do not use IE. Fireblade
customizing reports (adding pie charts)
Hello, is it possible to customize reports that are scheduled and mailed? Specifically, I would like to have a report that shows availability for a monitor group, but not only text data as now (monitor name/total downtime/MTRR/MTBF/Uptime %) but also a pie chart of the uptime (as it is on eg. last 7 days availability report for one monitor) for each monitor that is part of the group.

Hi, I configured a distant script monitoring which worked with the sample script given earlier in this forum. Then i switched it to my script, but when i do this, the monitoring is said to be down. I was succeed in monitoring one Exchange, but in the other network, I have any counters (SMTP, IS, etc) which working. I repeat the same procedure in the two network.
