Re-open request when requester reply on closed request not working

Scheduled task run time incorrect
Hi Could you tell me please why the time scheduled for a task to run, and the stated next run time are so different? The dashboard update tasks are 4.5 hours out... The scheduled report run time is 16.5 hours out... The time on the server is correct, the region is correct, and the time zone is correct. Why the discrepancy please? Many thanks

Pass Through and SSO issues
Hi, I have setup Service Desk Plus and all is ok apart from the Pass Through will not function or SSO and the computer has been successfully created in AD to allow this to work. I can only logon with local authentication and not via AD. Any ideas what else I can do?

Hi, I wanted to make a simply script to add an option of choose of one field. script: $CS.addOptions("ServiceReq_1801_UDF_CHAR2",["Piotr","Andrzej","Jerzy"]); Unfortunately it doesn't work. WMI scanning "Least Privileges" service account question
We are setting up WMI scanning but due to the sensitive nature of our business and the amount of servers we cannot grant a service account admin access nor load a client on all of our windows boxes. We are playing around with the security level and have asked support multiple times but they link me to to same "generic useless" page on granting the account admin access or tell me to load the client on the machines. Does anyone know what the "least privileges" settings might be for a AD user account
Change the installation to a non site based
I know it may be a challenge, but I’m wondering if there is a way or work around through some queries or whatever to change our current site based SDP to non-site based? the sites were created accidentally while importing the users details from Active Directory, and SD confided each "physicalDeliveryOfficeName" as a new site. Can I go back to Non-site based installation and delete all these created sites? Many Thanks

[SOLVED] What are valid characters in SDP passwords?
I've been unable to USE my password with same characters as my AD password bacause "~" character seems to be invalid in SDP password (no problem with AD account at all; we use local authentication in SDP). SDP allowed me to change my password but then i was unable to login. I realised that old password is still valid. No sign of error message at all. SSO and click through links in email
We are using AD integration and SSO so that we do not have to log in to the help desk. Startup service failed when change OS date
Dear All, My ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus version is 9.2 Build 9227 install on Windows server 2008. Due to the Operating System current date setting was wrong, I have to change OS date and time setting back to one day, such as aleter the date '2016/10/24' to '2016/10/23'. After that I restart the whole OS but SDP startup failed, error log detailed as 'Inconsistent change detected in date settings error code 527'. 'Add to Dashboard' button disappeared after upgrade from 9212 to 9229
Hi Expert, Recently we upgraded the SDP from 9212 to 9229 in our testing server. After comparing the production and testing system, it's found that the button of 'Add to Dashboard' in Reports disappeared. The following screenshot comes from the production system (9212) and you could see that button is there. But in the testing system (9229) that button disappears in the same report. Hello All, I've had this issue in the past and forgot how to correct it with the scripts...... Our SSO has stopped working and we most likely need to reset the computer password. I have the two VBS scripts but I'm unsure of how to run them. I get a bunch of popups when I run the scripts that suggest I am not putting in the script command line arguments. Thanks!
System time in Service Desk does not match Server time, method of timestamping unclear
I see nowhere to configure the time showing in the top right of the service desk interface. It is not showing server time either. Server time is correct per our technical group, but the SD interface time is one hour off (perhaps due to recent change from/to daylight savings). I would expect that the setting of the timezone on the Site entity should govern all requesters and technicians from that site, I have not yet been able to test a requester account to verify on that side but clearly this is

Duplicate requesters when importing from AD - is it better to import or use LDAP?
Hi there, I have enabled scheduled import from AD but it keeps bringing in duplicates. I have seen the other post about this https://forums.manageengine.com/topic/duplicate-requesters-when-importing-from-active-directory and have similar issue with the domain showing for some so made sure that "Override user information based on e-mail ID" is enabled. What is the best way to link to AD so that new users are automatically created without it creating duplicates? I have both "Enable Active Directory
Incorrect Requester Name For Incoming Emails
We use a third-party website to allows our employees to fill out forms and have the results emailed to SDP, which opens a request for our back office to complete. The problem I'm running into is that the email from our third-party website has the from address as such: btoy@nextierbank.com on behalf of nextierbank@csiweb.com So SDP is showing the requester as nextierbank, instead of the correct user btoy@nextierbank.com I've talked with our third-part website and they cannot change how they send emails.
iOS App Errors
A couple users have reported errors today when using the Helpdesk app on their iphones or ipads. The first one reported no usability at all. After reinstalling the app, he could get it working, but still an this error, which was also reported by another user. Can't attach a screenshot right not, but there is a red bar at the bottom appears when you open the app or perform certain tasks, but then hides after a couple seconds. It shows a message,"Module provided in the request is not supported."

Migrate from Spiceworks to SDP
Is there any easy way to do this? I do see some past forum posts about exporting tickets, though the replies are unable to be mapped as single replies, and the entire conversation would end up as the description of the ticket. We would like to move over, and make this as seamless as possible. We would need to move currently open/in progress tickets from Spiceworks and into SDP, and allow the conversations to be picked up from there - without a new ticket being created in SDP.
Assign Technician Based on Field in Request Catalog Submission
Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to assign requests to a certain technician if a box is checked. I currently have an "On Form Submit" rule that executes: $CS.setValue("TECHNICIAN","Name of Technician"); if a box is checked. However, when I submit the form, the Request remains unassigned. Service Desk Plus won't start after database restore
We already have Prod environment running and I am working to stand up the test environment to match the Prod version. I took the Prod database backup. I installed Service Desk plus same build as Prod on a new Windows 2008 R2 server and restore the database from prod DB backup. Hi support, I have a ServiceDesk Plus version 9036 Mysql 5.1.50 for database I installed it follow this step - Installed form source ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_64bit.exe ( version 9036) ,and mysql was installed form mysql-5.1.50-winx64.exe - While was installing I chose postgres . then the install was finished , I run changeDBServer.bat to chang postgres to mysql. User not showing in Asset workstation list but does show in workstation details
I am wondering why for this computer the user is showing up in the workstation details but not on the asset workstation list?
Cannot Search Sites and Cannot Assign Site to a Requestor
We are not able to search for a site to assign to a user. 1) We type in the site we want to search and click go. 2) When we do we get an error that says" Sorry an error has occurred" Unknown Error Occurred while processing your request. 3) If i scroll to the site instead of clicking go it lets me pick the site 4) After hitting save and going back into check the Site is gone again. Also there is no department name to pick from but that could be a separate issue. The user is not able to see requests
