Turning off Sub-string searching in Assets global search

Turning off Sub-string searching in Assets global search

A few major versions ago, the searching behavior changed in ServiceDesk, from my usage I've seen this only in the "Assets" global (top bar) search. It is doing Sub-String searching instead of what I would consider a proper search.

Let's say for example I need to quickly pull up all the Assets that Bob Smith has. I used to just enter "Bob Smith" in the Assets global search bar, and pull them up.
Now, when I search for the same query, I will get results for *anything* containing the word Bob, meaning all assets assigned to Bob Shirely, Bob Whirly, and so forth. It makes the global search essentially worthless, as I then need to use the filtering option on the results table to filter out what I *actually* wanted to find, Bob Smith. It's even worse if I enter a user's first name and then the initial letter of their last name (as we have a number of staff with matching first names) as then it will find asset matches for any item that contains that single letter anywhere in the entire object's properties (i.e. searching for "Bob S" would return all results with "Bob" as well as ANY item that contains the letter "S" anywhere in any property field, which would be pretty much every asset)

Is there a way to change this search behavior? I am just tired of always needing to essentially double search to find anything and having this global search essentially dead in the water. It's now only good for searching Serial Numbers as those truly do not have any other matches.
