Customize the "Vendor Specific Monitors"
Hi, is it possible to customize "Vendor Specific Monitors". I want a new Group "Interaction Inteligence" and add some custom monitors to this group. I have a custom monitor, this monitor check an subsystem as result i become 1 for running or 0 for stopped. It is possible to change the format for this monitor like Windows Services. So when the result is 1 it should show the green dot and when it is 0 then red dot? Please advise. Thanks. Christian

FA4002 has problems on our linux server
We are running eval FA4002 on a Redhat ES linux server, the problem started even just after the installation, when I try to connect to port 8500, it give me a Apache error message, and uninstall and reinstall several times, finally, I can get the GUI, but sometime I got incorrect login by using the default password (I didn't change anything yet, after reboot the machine, I logged into the web interface, and configure the intranet IP, and started monitoring our cisco PIX firewall, it looked good for

Report Problems
We cannot run reports for any other period except current month. When we put in a range, no data is found. It seems that it only sees data for the current period. Also, when we run reports for "last week" or "this week" the numbers are not correct.

How can users email requests without using the web portal?
I am trying to get the application to accept email requests for service. We have a centralized email address that we use for many other issues in our department. It is this same address that we would like to use for the service desk tool. How can we have our users send a request that gets inserted into the service desk application? Thanks in advance!
Monitoring servlets
Hi, I recently installed ManageEngine cause I have a proble in a production environment with some servlrts that eat up all my server CPU. The thing is that I can't monitor the entire thread, I need to see every servlet cpu usage. Is MAnageEngine the right tool for me, can I do that? if so, how? Pre-Sales Trouble: 100% CPU Usage
We recently began to review the demo version of ManageEngine Application Manager 6 and have been really impressed with the functionality it offers. There is, however, a serious problem that uncorrected, would prevent us from making this a permenant tool. On the two servers we've tried to run the application on, Java and MySQL manage to pull down 100% CPU usage. I believe the problem to be with Java because after killing the MySQL process, Java picks up the slack and the system is still maxed out.
Firewall Analyzer and Netflow Analyzer on same server
Hi, I have both Firewall Analyzer and Netflow Analyzer installed on my server. It's running Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4. I have 1 Gig of RAM with two Pentium 4 CPUs. Is this recommended? Can I run both or do you recommend having Firewall Analyzer and Netflow Analyzer on separate servers? The reason why I ask is Firewall Analyzer fails every 2-3 days. When Firewall Analyzer fails, Netflow Analyzer usually also fails. I would then have to run the StopDB.bat command for both applications in order
Apache Monitor using authentication
I am trying to add a monitor for Apache and rather than allowing all we have set it to authenticate. There is no place for me to supply user/password for this option. I don't want to open it to all due to the obvious reasons and I can't limit it to just a domain at this time. Any ideas?
Traffic from published servers
Hi. I have downloaded Firewall Analyzer. It works fine, except fact I can't see traffic which is generated by my published servers. I have Fortigate 100A and few servers in my LAN which are seen on internet. From my www servers logs I see it generates a lot of traffic (few GB a day) but in FA I can't see that traffic. I see my mail traffic though. I configured my intranet settings with my LAN addresses, but it doesn't help. Should I add my public IPs to intranet settings? Regards Raistlin
Problems with Firewall Analyzer 4 Build 4002
Hello I am testing now the Firewall Analyzer for two weeks. But nothing works correctly. After five minutes nothing goes. The Firewall Analyzer receives the syslogs from the firewall, but the graphs will not be updated. I only see the first five minutes, when Firewall Analyzer was started. If I restart the Firewall Analyzer the graphs will be updated from the past syslogs, but after that, the graphs will not be updated again. For me it's very strange and I hope there is a solution for that problem.
Monitors reports to be down
Sometimes, when I have lost my network connection, or just seem to have been away for some time, my monitors never goes online again. They are constantly "red" and reports 0 uptime the last 24 hours. So I try to restart appmanager, I can even press "fetch values now" and it works fine. But I still have a 0 seconds uptime and the monitor is Red. Contracts - Attachments
I see you can add attachments to contracts, great as we can scan in the actual contract, however once the attachment has been made how does one view or amend it. I cannot see any option to do so. TIA Damian
Service Desk Reports
I know that there is a problem with the service desk reports, but when I run the report of the current month, I am getting duplicate cases that have been counted in the report. When you search the case number only one ticket shows up. But looking at the report the case is counted sometimes up to 5 times in the report. (See Attachment)

Change look and feel of the home tab on Application Manager
HI, How do I make modifications to the look and feel of the home tab? Would I be able to customize the home tab to show only those items that I need to see, such as down alerts and not the upalerts, items that have scheduled maintenance.. Additionally, I would like to reset the statistics of the alerts percentage. hOw do I get to do that?
asset naming convention
Being able to edit the exsisting asset labels would be very beneficial .... for example product name and asset name and category would all be the same thing for me but if i was able to call them brand and model and model number that would be awesome. CPU Load under Linux?
Hi Folks, We're in the process of evaluating OpManager as a replacement to a hodge-podge BigBrother+MRTG system, and so far am pretty impressed (I'm assuming that the insane slowness of the system is due to the PIII-800 It's currently running on while we evaluate the software..). Can I nest a Monitor group within another? Or should I ask is it supported? I got one working correctly, but I can not do it again. When I try to "Associate Monitors" the group I wish to place within the current group does not show up in the list of Monitors.
