Router Bandwidth
Is there a way to make a report with total router bandwidth? I would like to have a report with tx and rx and then have total bandwidth on one report. Please advise
Router Interface status remains up after unmanaged
Hi, It seems like the interface status of router remains 'up' (green) even after it is unmanaged. The status suppose to change to grey icon after is it unmanaged right? I am facing this issue when I unmanaged a number of interfaces of my routers. Now I all the interfaces of my routers are showing up (green) even though some of them are unmanaged. Rgds.
Router Interface Availability Graph Incorrect
When clicking on an interface of a rouer to get the detail, it shows the Todays Availability graph incorrectly. It shows it as 100% downtime, ie all red. If I clcik on the graph, I get a popup window which shows it as 100% uptime, ie green. I have attached an image of the two graphs.
Service Desk server will not start
I'm running the demo version of Service Desk and it will not start. I figured it was because my trial license had expired so I got a new one, but that wasn't it. When I try to start the SD server it seems like it's trying to start, then it just stops progressing. I've tried starting it from the start menu as well as from run.bat I can supply the log files if need be. Thanks, Megan

Alarm on free disk space in %
Is it possible to setup OpManager to generate an alarm when the free disk space of a volume drops below a given percentage? As I see it right now - it is only possible to set the threshold in units of GB or MB.

Multiple Firewalls, Multiple Intranets
I have just begun eval of this product for use in our company's managed firewall infrastructure. So far I like what I see, but I have a question and I'm worried the answer is not going to be one that I like... We manage a variety of brands of firewalls for a multitude of companies and would like a way to centrally manage monitoring and reporting on the firewall logs. Currently, all the brands we manage are supported, so that isn't an issue. What is an issue is the "Intranet Settings" - I don't see
IBM SAN Storage --> new device type problem
Hi, My company just bought IBM SAN Storage and my manager ask me to add it to opmanager. So i did it , but opmanager found it as desktop device. And i want to add it to new device type, but the opmanger said "Device is not reachable. Check the device name and SNMP parameters." . I already check the IP, SNMP parameter and its all correct, are there any sugsestions :?:

Native support for Netscreen logs.
Please make it a priority to add native support for Netscreen firewall logs. I've noticed a large number of Netscreen posts on this forum and we're running a Netscreen 208 here as well. The native log format has a ton more information than the WELF format. Thanks.
SNMP display for traps
Well I had high hopes. I downloaded the latest version installed, then attempted to add Lotus Notes/Domino MIB. Failed, so found on the forum a script, downloaded, ran, and way to go, I see the Notes-MIB now listed in the MIB Browser. Attaching new/deleting old files to Contracts
Once a contract is assigned, how do you (1) add new files to it once it is saved, and (2) delete a file that is attached. Also, files attached do not open. They must be saved to your machine and then opened...why?

Requester search in new request
Is it possible to search for a resuester be login name in the requester details name box. With out going thow the list. F.ex I got a user(name:peter petersen; login name:pepe), when I make a new request, then I only want to put pepe in the requester details name box, and the get all of his informations. Without typing in his whole name or search for him in the pop up window.
Email Submission Field Names
I am successfully using the email submission feature in SD5. I would like to be able to specify fields to be SD5 that need to be populated from the generated email. Are there keywords that i can use to allow a field called workstation for example place its data in the workstation field of SD5? For example I notice that the Subject of the e-mail becomes the requesters name. This will enable me to create a form that submits via e-mail and creates a sutible looking request within SD5. Close Request after entering Solution
Hi there, Here another suggestion: When entering a solution, in the panel "Tasks" on the right the action "Close Request" is available. When clicking on "Close Request" the entered solution is not being saved, so you have to save the solution first, then close the request. It would be nice if the entered solution will be saved too when clicking "Close Request" from the "Tasks" panel. Or maybe put a checkbox "Close Request" above the "Save" button, if the checkbox is checked and the button "Save"
problem with time spend report
There is a problem with time spent parameter. Then new request added and technical close it time spent parametr in request details showing time - 0hrs00min, but open and close time is different. And time spent reports didnt work
Remove ServiceDesk and NetFlow from Add-On/Products
I am trying to remove from the NetFlow and ServiceDesk links from the Add-On/Products Integration section under Admin in OpManager. I installed the trial versions and they integrated fine. Now I would like to remove them from the system. The problem I have is that all of the fields are "required" in the admin system so I can't clear them and resubmit. The second issue is that there are still links to the old applications thorughout the site for example there is a link on each of the dashboard pages.
Problem connecting to server
Hi Team, I have installed the application on a machine.Sometimes a server being monitored shows Problem connecting to server with a orange coloured circle with white dot in it.At other times the same server is well monitored and logs are collected well from it.Why is this happening?Please help. Watchguard xCore700 and Opmanager
I recently setup and installed a new Watchguard xCore700 firewall and want to use Opmanager to monitor it's performance, data traffic through it's interfaces, VPN info etc. Watchguard supplied Mib's that I placed in the Advent MIB folder. I can launch the mibBrowser.bat file and can see those MIB's. Now what?? Rally need some step by step info here as I've never dealt with this before. APC UPS
We have 5 APC SMARTUPS 3000 with management cards on 3 networks (172.16.x.x , 192.168.58.x , 192.168.3.x ) The first 3 are about 2 years old, one is 6 month and the last one is 1 month old. The only one opmanager is adding with the blue star is the last one, its adding the other 4 as Desktop pc. I compared the 5 APC web interfaces and the settings are the same. SNMP is enabled with string public and the ip from the machine with opmanager installed. Do I have to type til apc/apc logon in the Password

Import users and Assighn tickets by Locations
Hi, I'm testing ServiceDesk Plus and very interesting in it. I have multiple offices with more than 2000 users on different windows 2003 Active Directory OUs. I'd like to seperate the user list by the office location and will automatically assign the tickets to certain technician based on the requestor's location. How can I do that? Many thanks.

Apache exits when I log out
I installed Opmanager 6 on Windows 2003 Server 64bit Edition. It seems that when I log into the box locally or via terminal services (mstsc /console) and I log out, Apache exits which terminates http access to OpManager. It still collects stats and monitors devices though. Even if OpManager is started from the service control panel, the result is the same.
UPS Graceful Shutdown via Opmanager
I can setup a Custom Monitor via the PowerNet MIB so I know what the battery temperature is, and can therefore set a threshold and generate an event. What I would like to do now is send an SNMP put command to instruct the UPS to go into Graceful Shutdown. Is there a nice simple way of doing this?
Big trouble whit attached files from requesters
Hi! I got two little problems left in the helpdesk, otherwise it work perfect When a user attach a file (either by the webform or by e-mail) I just get the error that file doesn't exist This error was the same that I had in the solutions attached files. When is this going to be fixed?, Iam sorry but I cant ask my users to rename the filename and take away charters that doesn't exist in the english language. And, when is the problem going to be solved if the users send mails in HTML format? Best Regards

Change Request Status
Is the only way to change the status to edit the request? There is a Stop Timer on the page when viewing a request. In a future update could a 'Change State' be added? Thanks, Andrew

Has anybody tried to use the custom script monitor to check for FTP on a UNIX box ? What's the process to set up Applications manager so that I can know if an FTP hapenned successfully or not ? Thx
PIX Classified as Desktop?
Furthermore, only one of the interfaces are being managed. I am unable to manage the other two interfaces as the button to do so is greyed out and says unmanaged.
Possible integration within IIS
We run ServiceDesk on a server that is accessible from the internet via https:. We do not have control over the firewall that provides our internet connection. Since it currently only allows port 443 to the server, we are unable to access ServiceDesk from outside of our network as it runs on port 8081. We also have IIS running on this server which of course is serving websites on port 80. Is there way to integrate ServiceDesk so that a sub-domain and URL can be used to access ServiceDesk on port
CPU Utilization Snapshot --- Incorrect with Processor % Time
Hi I don't understand why the change in using Percentage Processor Time for Domain Controllers, for pupulating the Snapshot CPU Utilization % Dial. I can confirm that the data I'm getting makes no sense, and seems quite incorrect. Attached find snapshots of actual processor utilization as seen from the server's Task Manager | Performance Monitor -vs Opmanager's report which I was updating and looking at at the same time. PDF creation fail
Hi, I am currently testing your product for managing 6 pix 6.3.X When i recieve a mail of report product with a zip file, the PDF inside is empty (size is 0). If i have a look to the server, all the pdf file are empty. On the web page, i found some report but if i click on the pdf icone on the upper right, a new page is opening but nothing appear. Interface Descriptions Not Showing Correctly
Hello, I am in the eval period of NFA and have a quick question: One of my core frame-relay routers is a newer Cisco 2835 that is setup with ATM/IMA frame interfaces instead of your typical Serial with sub-interfaces and PVC's defined. Within the config, I have: interface ATM0/IMA3.125 point-to-point description Frame-Relay link to Indy But for whatever reason, NFA is showing that router's interfaces as IfIndex2, 14, 16, etc and it carries no correspondence whatsoever.
