Custom request page for each service
Is there a way to have a custom request page for each service in an organization? Like the application support team would have a request page that contains their relevant information, the facilities team would have a separate request page that would contain their relevant information and the IT team would have their own separate request page that contains their relevant information. This would be better to organize rather than have all the required fields on one request page that confused customers

Exchange Server Monitoring
I have monitoring setup for our exchange server and under "Service Monitors" I Exchange, Web added to be monitored. Under "Application monitors" I have MsExchange added under there. Now my issue is that I am receiving alot of unnecessary alerts related to "Exchange service is down" as well as "Exchange service is up". Here are my concerns: - What exchange service do they mean because I have MsExchange as an application monitor. - I don't need an alert telling me Exchange service is up. - These can't

Automated database backup to remote host
Hi there, Has anyone set up themselves a method to automatically transport a backed-up database file to a remote host? I am running OpManager on a Windows server, so obviously it's easy to schedule the BackupDB bat file to run every x days. However, as the database filename is never the same I'm open to some hints on how people have acheived automating the copy of the file elsewhere (in case the server blows up or some such!) I realise this is more a scripting-type query than a query related to OpManager
iptables support
Does Firewall Analyser support iptables output? I see it runs on linux, however I am surprised to see no mention of iptables anywhere? All of our firewalls are running variants of linux. Linking licence to a downgraded software
Hi, It would be useful if there would be a way to link licences from the assets to softwares listed in workstation's software list. Example: I have 10 pieces of MS Office 2003 licences, but I use 10 pieces of MS Office 2000. It's legally OK. The workstation software list shows 10 installed MS Office 2000 and I can generate 10 licences but rather I would like to link the Office 2000 to the Office 2003 assets (licences) entered manually. XP Firewall inventory issues
Is there a port I could open to allow SDP to inventory my Win XP SP2 machines without disabling the firewall? I would rather use Group Policy to allow the Help Desk to go in through an open port rather than having to disable the Windows XP firewall to do an inventory scan. Thanks for any help. SC

Remove 'For Default User' on login screen
Is it possible to drop the 'For Default User:' from the login page. Product has been registered and the admin password changed but admin/admin notice still remains. Can it be removed or will it remain there for all time?
WMI vs. SNMP and Reliability
Hello, I am attempting to monitor approximately 20 windows 2003 based servers across my organisation. I have them setup to use WMI. The problem I have is that it seems that most of them have "no status" - or rather the grey circle with a line in it. Occationally I get a green light on one or two of the servers, but generally they have no status, and the infomation is out of date. But, when I configure and use SNMP it seems to update reliably, and quickly. The problem with SNMP is that I cannot monitor
IIS Monitoring
Hello, I have 17 IIS WebServers setup for monitoring, but it seems that it can only display the status of one server at a time. As it polls the servers, only one server will show the status of Available, the rest will be 'Unknown'. Any ideas? Gareth

Automatic Workstation Owner Update
Hi, Would it be possible for you to build a process into the system where the workstation owner field (or perhaps a new field against the workstation??) to be automatically populated when a domain scan is performed? I notice that this already exists in the back end database but it is not shown in the front-end. This would be most handy for us as some departments in our business regularly change desks/PCs and it takes a lot of administration to manually update the workstation owner field. Any thoughts

Most admin options are disabled, i.e. New Monitor Group, New Monitor, New Threshold etc. They also dont show in the admin side pannel - only in Sitemap. business rule query
I have setup a business rule to change the priority when a certain criteria is met and it is not working :-( When a call is logged against a certain category and assigned a certain level, I want service desk to change it to a different level. Basically in our terms, when a call is logged as an Incident (Level) and then assigned to Service Request - No SLA (Priority) , I want service desk to change the Priority to another Priority called Sev3. Service desk will just not do it, even though the criteria

Mysql server doesn't start
I am working with the free version of the ServiceDesk Plus. But since 2 PM today I can't run the service desk Plus software. Old MySQL Data
Hello! How can I delete old mysql data in the database that i don't need any more? My harddisk is also too small to store the whole data for ever. I think, deleting the old data would also result in better performance. Is there any mysql command that deletes all data until a specified moment? I hope, somebody can help me. Thanks Patrick

Hi, in our company we have departments out through various locations that have the same name. So when we want to assign an asset (such as Netscreen/ or a switch) we want to assign it to a department not a certain user for obvious reasons. Reporting on Monitored Ports issue
Hi, We use switches with over 250 copper ports., i have configured OPmanager to monitor on the ports that have crucial devices attached : Servers , routers ETC. It would benifical if i could draw up a report that show availability, TX Traffic, rx traffic etc . At present if i do an availablility report, it reports on all ports regardlees if i have selected them or not Any ideas??
Rename or remove the "Personalize" link in the use
We've had customers complain that the "Personalize" link at the top of the SD+ screen is confusing. You can't really personalize anything except your password, and I'm not sure why we'd want them to do that, except to change a password that a technician set for them upon setup of their account in SD+. Can you remove that, or rename it to say "Password change" or simply "Password"? Justin
No visible way to change languages!
Hi there. This is the n-th time I install the free version of SDP. I've eliminated all the c:\adventnet\... folders before installing it once again. I am working with an English Windows 2003 Server as a host, and the fresh download installed a 5010 version, no patches needed. Well, in the "Personalize" menu, there is no option to change the Display Language! And except for the welcome screen, that obeys the selected language in the browser, the rest of the screens are in plain English... Tried to

OpManager problem on Suse 9.2
Hello everybody, I have tested OpManager on Windows and it everything's ok.. Now I perform tests on Linux Suse 9.2... The installation seems to be ok.. At first, the installation guide says that we need some packages for installation on SuSE 9.2 like XFree86, fontconfig, compat-libstdc++... but these packages are not available for latest Suse si I could not install them...But the fact that these packages are not installed could cause what kind of problems ? Secondly, I can connect to http://localhost:8060/LoginPage.do

I tried to Verify login for a host and it returned with a "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation". Is there anyway I can change the location of the mysql database to another volume? Currently, it is in the C volume.
